  Very disappointed, damaged my driveway and never fixed it, was told numerous times that it would be fixed, never happened would not recommend this company

  William, I am sorry the company delivered your materials damaged your driveway. We do have a claim in with them and are following up daily to get your issue resolved. The roof portion was what we have control of. They are responsible and we will hold them accountable. I will keep you posted.

  We hired CFL Roofing to do repairs to our roof to stop leaks. One thing they agreed to do was to "replace" a vent on top of the roof. After the repair, the roof continued to leak. We called CFL Roofing for them to revisit and fix the leaks; CFL provides a one-year guarantee on all work performed. While they said they would get someone out, that person kept getting delayed and never showed up. When the CFL person finally came out, all he did was inspect (not fix). He then said the vent was not replaced and it was old. What? Then we had another roofing company come to fix what CFL did not fix. That technician confirmed that the vent was old and was not replaced. The vent instead had been painted and roof cement slathered all over the place. CFL does not pick up the phone nor respond to emails and texts. Avoid CFL Roofing -- they essentially lied to us about replacing the vent, and did not honor their one-year guarantee.

  Negatives: • wild price increase upon receipt of funds from our adjuster • we felt coerced to sign contract with 50% price increase • inability to speak with business owner • had to engage an attorney to finalize our roof installation • discrepancy over sheets of plywood used vs charged • Cfl roofing business tactics delayed our roof installation by approximately 4 months Positives: • the sales team member we worked with was excellent • very detailed information • trusted brand name products • provided informative, compare and contrast explanations on product choices • the field team member that managed the installation team was very professional and kept us informed of progress • the installation team seemed exceptionally skilled Cfl roofing attempted to increase the price of our roof replacement by 50%. We signed a Cfl roof replacement contract for $26,700 and paid 50% deposit of $13,360. Once Cfl roofing received roof replacement funds from our adjuster, they issued a new contract for $40,050, which was a 50% price increase . We refused to sign the new contract and were threatened that we would forfeit our $13,360 deposit if we didn’t agree to the new contract. As a consumer, we felt coerced by Cfl roofing’s office manager to sign the new contract. We attempted to communicate with Cfl roofing business owner by phone, email and written letter, but never received a reply. We could only speak with the office manager, and we received no satisfaction there. Eventually, we engaged an attorney and Cfl roofing agreed to install our roof for the original contracted price of $26,700. Installation went smoothly and the installation crew appeared to be very experienced. When issuing final payment, we were charged for 7 sheets of plywood. The installation crew showed us areas where 4 sheets of plywood would be required to replace damaged wood. The same installation crew verbally told us they used 4 sheets of plywood on our roof.   This company is not professional. Poor work, Fist they left me with stains on the garage door and they didn’t fix it and now roof is leaking and they told me they will not cover the repair even though I have warranty after they changed my roof. I wouldn’t recommend this company for anyone.

  PSA: Please be careful with CFL ROOFING Before you sign a contract with them do your homework, do your research! And whatever you do…DO NOT sign an AOB (assignment of Benefits). Do not give them or anyone that much power over your money/Insurance claim. I learned my lesson. After getting denied through my insurance, CFL put me in contact with an adjuster who was able to get my roof approved. Once that happened, CFL contacted me to get started on my roof. They needed me to sign paperwork to get the permit pulled. Their price??? $17, 490 to replace a shingle roof on a 1490sq ft one story house! Yes …You read that correctly. Read it again: seventeen thousand, four hundred and ninety dollars.!!!! Beware! Their agreement has two entries, the first price you will see is actually NOT the price you will pay it’s the amount of the (first check). Keep reading because below that is a significantly larger number… the (agreed price) or the price you will actually end up paying at the end of the job! Its confusing because where you sign is aligned with that first amount the (first check). Read before you sign. Thankfully I caught this before I handed in my signed paperwork. I was happy with them initially, I even recommended them to neighbor and lastly decided to also use them for my rental property. This is where I discovered what was really happening. For my Primary residence I signed an AOB, they dealt directly with my insurance. The check even had their name on it. For my rental I did not sign an AOB, my contract was with the insurance adjuster, not CFL roofing. The check was not made out to them this time. Naturally, after receiving that ridiculous quote I became suspicious and started to do my own research. (I should have done it before this). I got quotes from 3 different roofing companies. All within $500-$700 from one another but still in the same ball park area. Compared to CFL who was charging me thousands of dollars above those quotes for same exact property! Whe

  Hello Ms. Fernandez. Our goal is to make sure all of our customers have a satisfactory experience with us, and we apologize if this was not the case for you. While you did sign an agreement with us, we never attempted to enforce it in any way. After your claim was approved and you decided not to proceed with the work, we wished you luck and closed your file. Your insurance claim was initially denied, and we helped you through the process of, ultimately getting it approved. The price that we asked was the price the insurance company allowed based on software used by both us and insurance companies which calculates fair market value by zip code at any given time. It is updated monthly to take into account the cost of labor and materials in that area. The insurance company pays the insured for the work to be done with the expectation that the contractor they have signed up with will bill for the amount they’ve allowed for the work and the funds for that work will be turned over to the contractor at an agreed upon schedule. Typically, if an insured finds a lower bid, the insurance company will just pay the lower price, minus the deductible, saving the insurance company some money but not changing what the customer pays out of pocket(their deductible). While the pricing was calculated by the insurance company as well, insuring that it was fair, as they aren’t in the business of paying for more than they need to, it’s worth noting that the 1,490 sq ft of your house is the air conditioned living space, but this doesn’t take into consideration your garage or front porch. Also, the roof itself is actually larger, as it is sloped. I have a report on your home from an aerial measurement company, again used by many insurance companies. The shingled portion of your roof is closer to 2500 sq ft and a waste factor is required when installing an new roof, typically calculated at 10-12% for this style roof which would put it at 2700-2800 sq ft. Our teams' expectations are to confirm appointments immediately, provide an estimate within 24 hours after the site visit unless something is needed out of our scope of work or if special material pricing needs to be requested. However, even if we are waiting on material pricing, we are to communicate with the customer every step of the way. I am the new sales manager here and that is NOT how we do business now.
