Brax Roofing replaced my neighbor’s roof. Her skylight started leaking, and the skylight company said it was probably flashing and told her to call the roofer since it was likely still under warranty. She contacted Brax, and their project manager, Daniel Angel, promised her( it was on speakerphone), which I heard—that they would replace the flashing and the rotten wood. Lumber was even delivered. But the workers only installed temporary flashing and left. Now the owner insists it’s the skylight that’s leaking. If it’s really the skylight that’s leaking, why bother putting any temporary flashing on at all? They are not gone ring warrenty, and this kind of broken promise and flip-flopping is terrible business practice.

We had BRAX Roofing replace our roof back in 2021. Recently we discovered a leak near one of our skylights that caused interior wood rot. We first contacted a skylight specialist, who confirmed the skylight itself was fine, these typically last around thirty years, and told us the leak was likely a flashing issue that should be covered under our roofing warranty. Following that advice, we contacted BRAX. Two of their inspectors came out first and confirmed new flashing would be installed. Their production manager, Daniel Angel, personally confirmed the same, that they’d replace the flashing and repair the rotted wood, and they even arrived with lumber to do the repair, then took it away without explanation. Today we received an email from Boris Cardenas, a managing partner at BRAX, saying they are not responsible, now claiming the leak is from the skylight’s gasket rather than the flashing, contradicting everything their own staff told us. Throughout this process, it’s felt like an emotional rollercoaster, we were told repeatedly that this would be fixed, watched them bring materials to do the repair, then had those materials quietly taken away without any explanation, and now we’re being told none of it is even covered. We feel misled and deeply disappointed after paying for a full roof replacement. Update: BRAX’s response claims “multiple evaluations” — this is inaccurate. Only one evaluation took place. During that visit, they did add a temporary metal flashing covering near the skylight, but this was explicitly described as a stopgap, not a repair. Their production manager Daniel Angel personally assured us the flashing would be replaced and the rotted wood repaired — his crew even brought lumber to do the wood repair, then removed it without explanation or completing any work. No permanent repair has ever been completed. BRAX advertises a twenty five year workmanship warranty, but when their own staff identifies a flashing issue and promises to fix it, then r

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you feel disappointed with your experience. BRAX Roofing values our customers and takes warranty concerns seriously. After multiple evaluations, our team determined that the cause of the leak is related to the skylight gasket, not the roof installation or flashing. Since the skylight itself is a separate component from the roofing system, its repair is not covered under our roofing warranty. Even so, we have made every effort to assist by responding to your concerns, providing recommendations, performing temporary measures, and offering options to help resolve the issue. Our intention has always been to provide guidance and support while ensuring the proper repair is completed. We appreciate the opportunity to have served you and hope we can continue working toward a solution.

Very disappointed. They advertise a “free estimate,” but say they will charge extra if they can’t find whether the issue is from the roof or gutters. Misleading and frustrating.

We regret any confusion. All our estimates are free, but a fee may be charged for matters outside the scope of our services. Please call us at (301) 469-4880 so we can address your concerns.

Brax Roofing replaced our roof in 2022. We took a while to complete the survey for them and were reminded several times by text message to do so and we ended up doing it. Later, I noticed that during heavy rains the gutter poured down torrents of water onto my planter, which destroyed the plants. Obviously, pieces of shingles have blocked the drain. The salesperson never responded to my calls and texts. I sent an email to Daniel who did not respond and the operator assured me that my request would be processed. July 2024 and Braxx Roofing continues to be deaf. However, it would be enough to go up on the roof and clear the pieces that are obstructing the rainwater drainage for me to be completely satisfied with their performance.

Edit to my review after trying to do business with them again a couple years later. My original 5⭐️ review at the bottom… I had a slow leak in my roof. They came by to look at it and the short of it is that they were extremely slow to respond even after I called to ask for an update. I mean months later I heard from them…at which point I had already went with another company to replace my entire roof. I will say they are friendly and professional on the phone and in person. If they are overbooked and can’t get to me, I understand. But I wish they would have just told me that in the first place so I didn’t waste my time with calls and appointments and an ongoing leak in my roof. I had my siding replaced by Brax Roofing this summer. I highly recommend this company. They sent someone out quickly for a free estimate, they worked with my homeowners insurance to get everything approved. I’m really happy with the end result and they worked with me on some hiccups along the way. Their customer service is really exceptional, everyone I dealt with at all times was fair and extremely polite.

My aging roof was much needed for a TLC since it was leaking. Brax came out, assessed the roof and provided me with several repair options w/pricing. The overall experience was great, excellent communication from the beginning till the end of the project. Pricing is very reasonable. Highly recommend!

After the initial date for my roofing project was scheduled, I was given a 2-hour window, noon - 2 pm. It wasn't until 2 pm arrived that I received a call from the scheduler noting that the team was running behind schedule because one job was taking longer than planned. The scheduler apologized and asked if and different date could be scheduled. I stated yes but noted I would not be present because I would not have the luxury of taking time off from work again to be present for the install. We agreed on a different date. I noted my wife would be home for the second scheduled date. With the rescheduled date, the scheduler noted the team would arrive by 10 am. After texting my wife around this time to check if the team had arrived, she noted they had not. I called the scheduler and he confirmed the team had run into traffic and would arrive in the next 45 minutes. My only issue with BRAX Roofing is timely communication regarding scheduling updates. As I verbally noted with the scheduler, when your work team knows they are running behind schedule, you need to know. A customer should be "in wonder" when a work team is going to show up. This is a quality issue with timely communication to the customer.

We realized we needed urgent skylight repair after the snowcrete proved to be too much for our aging ones. I checked contractor ratings and then requested pricing from Brax Roofing for replacement of two skylights. Marvin from Brax came out and did a fine job through the whole quotation process. He inspected the skylights and prepared a highly professional price quote for us. In addition, given that we had an open gap in one skylight that could let in rain, Marvin went the extra mile by setting up a short term fix (not a permanent fix, but still a big help since we had rain coming the next day). In the end, we went with another company we had used for other work previously, but I can't say enough about Brax and the fantastic job Marvin did - I came away really impressed! We will absolutely consider Brax a top option for our future roofing and related needs.

I recently had my roof replaced by BRAX Roofing, and I couldn't be happier with the entire experience. From start to finish, the process was professional, transparent, and stress-free. A special thank you to Jacob Wheeler, who was outstanding throughout the project. Jacob took the time to thoroughly explain the roofing materials, installation process, warranty coverage, and labor involved. He answered all of our questions patiently and made sure we understood every aspect of the proposal before moving forward. What truly set Jacob apart was his honesty, professionalism, and willingness to work with us on pricing. He was able to provide us with a discount, which we greatly appreciated, while still delivering exceptional service and quality. The installation crew was punctual, hardworking, and respectful of our property. The new roof looks fantastic, and the workmanship exceeded our expectations. The job site was left clean and organized when the work was completed. If you're looking for a reliable roofing company that stands behind its work, I highly recommend BRAX Roofing. Be sure to ask for Jacob Wheeler—his knowledge, customer service, and dedication made all the difference. Thank you, BRAX Roofing, for a job well done!
