  They make an appointment with you, then fail to show up. This happened several times. Almost one year later, they showed up again, made an appointment then didn’t show. I had even told them I didn’t like doing business with companies that played games like that with people, so it was really surprising that they would blow it again.

  I had an estimate set up for Saturday at 12 noon. Nobody ever called or showed up today is Tuesday and I got an email saying that they needed to reschedule and then when I said no I don’t really appreciate the unprofessionalism we’re gonna go somewhere else they said.” I’m sorry to hear that. What made you decide to move forward somewhere else”

  I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Douglas, Frank, and their team for the excellent work—they are truly appreciated. While my initial experience with American Custom Contractors was less than satisfactory, I must acknowledge that the crew delivered outstanding results and demonstrated great workmanship.

  ZERO STARS! This company is a complete fraud. The guy who came out said I need a complete roof replacement that would cost $42,000! I had another company come out based on a referral and they said they could repair it for a few thousand dollars. Do NOT use.

  Our management team provided consultation to the on-site inspector and has since then completed a subsequent review of our inspection and estimate provided to you. Our site visit included an inspection of the attic space, where our technician found what appeared to be mold, rotted wood, and what appeared to be a “sweating attic” due to improper ventilation. Our measurement tools registered an interior attic temperature that exceeded acceptable limits. Our team is trained to complete a thorough inspection of the roof, both the exterior, and attic space/interior, to provide our best recommendations. We do not believe that a repair would be in the best interest for your property, as a repair would not have resolved the ventilation issues, and would have cost significantly more down the road to address. While we are always open to feedback from homeowners in how we can provide better or improved service, we stand by our technician’s inspection routine, documentation, and assessment of the needs for this home and believe that any qualified professional who inspected the attic space would be in agreement. If a repair was rendered already, we would recommend that the roof and attic space be continually monitored, as the poor ventilation is drastically undercutting the lifespan of the roof and accelerating mold and moisture issues.

  With 3 NO SOLICITATION SIGNS ON MY DOOR ALONE, Seth B stills knocks and leaves his card on the ground in front of my door, how can I trust you with my roof if I can’t trust you to pay attention to 3 signs right where you knocked!!!! No thanks! Pay attention!

  What a terrible experience and thank god I'm not using you for my siding. You sent out a guy to give me a quote and 2 hours later he made a video that basically was what I would present to new employees talking about the company and how they have been around for 50 years, how transparent they are and to lock in the price now. On top of that you send out a guy who's training with his own truck? No wonder you charge that much for everything. The trainee is shaking his head yes to everything the other guy is saying but yet we barely discussed the siding, it was more just chest puffing about the company the whole time. The actual worst part was the guy kept telling us how unfinished and bad our house looked. Also completely said the dumbest thing ever in that he was going to cap off our ventilation to the house, what? I was seconds away from telling him to just leave. You all obviously work with a lot of rich DC people. Maybe you should just stick to that community. Waste of time...

At your appointment we did have a new staff member observing – we place a large emphasis on training with our team, however this has no impact on the cost of any projects and is frequently done at the volition of the staff member who wants to take the time to improve their service. During this appointment our Technician was under the impression that he was providing you with the service we strive for, and we apologize if any comments made regarding the proposed changes to your home came across as disrespectful – without completing an interior inspection of any attic space it is difficult to determine the best solutions for ventilation. We wanted to provide solutions based on your initial inquiry for a siding upgrade and are sorry to hear that we did not meet this expectation.   Backed out of a contract because their sales men "bid to low" only gave notice 4 weeks after the job was supposed to have been started and finished. Allowed my credit to be ran for said proposal. And my time to be wasted I will be contacting the bbb

The project was quoted below our cost and without the key details outlined in the scope to fully support the project to be carried out; we also did not receive a signed contract for this scope either, only a record of the quote being sent to you. We acknowledge that a mistake was made on the part of our team member, who happens to be a personal friend of yours. We are prepared to proceed with the gutter scope, however we would need a signed contract and a deposit, neither of which we have at this time. Our management team has spoken with you regarding this matter – our goal is to provide fair, transparent, and quality service, and we regret that your experience did not reflect this.   Field Representative, Janet Rivera, disregarded clearly visible signage by homeowner that NO SOLICITING is permitted. As a proxy for this firm, one can assume the wishes of paying clients also will be ignored. I texted her a picture of our NO SOLICITING sign to her and she never apologized.

  American Custom Contractors installed a new roof on my home to replace one with severe storm damage. Brady led me through the process, from selection of shingles to guiding me through dealing with the insurance company, making what I expected to be a stressful experience into an almost pleasant one. The installation, supervised by Alex and completed in a single day, was well done. Cleanup was thorough and the new roof looks great.

  This company just replaced my roof using Owen Corning Shingles. Every employee from the beginning to the end of this project were pleasant, knowledgeable, respectful. Once they completed the job they cleaned up the area 100%. I will definitely use them again if I need anything in the future!

  I could not have been more pleased with the overall performance of American Custom Contractors. They installed a new slate roof, copper flashing, copper snow guards, and copper gutters/downspouts -- all to replace a previous roof, etc., that had been damaged by wind and hail. ACC worked very effectively with our insurance company to maximize the claim payment. The work was done in a timely way, and they were reassuringly responsive to any and all of my questions. I recommend them highly. Sometime later, when I thought one of the downspouts was leaking, they promptly sent a team to inspect it, discovered that it was clogged with leaves (my gutter-cleaning company had earlier said it was clear), and restored it to working order.

  Work with American Custom Contractors for a long time, because of excellent customer service and product quality. It is a great pleasure to work with Project Manager Alex. He is very nice, responsive and willing to do extra work to help customers. Look forward to working with him on another project soon.

  Douglas came out today after having problems with our roof. We called and he was out next day! He answered all our questions and was very thorough in his inspection. He helped with 2 minor fixes same day and helped in facilitating future work. He was wonderful to work with and would highly recommend!

  We have always appreciated the charm and beauty of Victorian architecture. When it came time to replace our home’s slate roof we placed our trust in American Custom Contractors. From start the finish we were well informed and supported. Everyone was professional and conscientious. Special shout outs to William Giakoumatos, the company’s President, who took the time to check in throughout the process; Amanda who was always willing to answer questions and address any concerns; and Frank who provided onsite management. As customers we felt truly valued. It's hard to find a company that can replicate the artistry, craftsmanship and attention to detail of vintage homes.   We had a superior experience with American Custom Contractors. After a severe storm in April, we were left with extensive damage and a difficult situation with USAA. The insurance company gave us a hard time at every turn. Amanda Ryan and Joel Miranda worked tirelessly for months to get our project completed and covered by insurance as it should have been from the start. We hit some additional snags along the way with further repairs needed, they both provided excellent and professional service while also getting these items taken care of. It was a very difficult timeframe for us, and cannot recommend American Custom Contractors enough. Our repairs are complete and the work is excellent!

  American Custom Contractors delivered exceptional workmanship on my home’s siding replacement and interior drywall repairs. The project was necessary because the original builder failed to install proper sheathing and a plastic moisture barrier, leaving the structure vulnerable to serious mold and water damage. Their team installed premium James Hardie siding with precision, and CEO Alex Giakoumatos personally conducted two site visits to verify quality and ensure every detail was completed correctly. Their professionalism and expertise made the entire experience outstanding.
