The guy came in June inspected my roof told me my solar tubes needed work called his boss got a price for me and said that I would be hearing from them. Since then I have called twice. Was told I would be hearing from them for the repair. I also went online and talked to a rep and they said I would be hearing from them for scheduling. So far nothing. I guess the job is too small for them. I would be using someone else if I need another roof . Also their ad full page ad in the paper said I would be getting a report on my roof for my insurance company. Nothing 😔😔

I sold a home pending a new roof install. I chose Batterbee because of the reviews. Rhett came out to the home and shortly after emailed me a quote. I contracted them for the work and although they were a couple weeks out they were able to move me up so that I could make the closing on time. I never got to see the roof in person but I did see the pictures they sent me. *I cannot recommend this company* See below Since I had the roof done, they bombarded me with a dozen emails and regular mail to leave a review, even though I already had before I received the first one. I told them if they continued to bombard me with emails and mail I was going to take away stars. I've had several emails since then and regular mail asking me to refer them to my friends and neighbors. I don't even live in their service area and they know this because they are sending me mail at my address. Yet it keeps coming...referral requests, again today in fact. I would NOT recommend this company because you will be harrassed for months via email and snail mail.

Aaron, thank you so much for sharing your experience and your 5 star review! We’re glad Rhett and our team were able to provide you with a smooth process and help you meet your closing deadline. Even though you weren’t able to see the roof in person, we’re happy the photos gave you peace of mind. We appreciate your recommendation and look forward to helping you or anyone you refer in the future!

My home is 5 years old. A couple of years ago I had a leak in my ceiling. I called Battersea who installed the roof but they said they do not service Palm Coast although a couple of years earlier they installed it. Come to find out it was faulty installation. Roofing nails were sticking out and caused a leak in the tile roof which resulted in the leak in my ceiling. Fast forward a couple a years, now another problem. Tiles are sliding down. Had a roofer inspect. Sure enough faulty installation, never secured top row of tiles. I tried to talk with Battersbee the first time around. I believe it was the owner, he was rude, crude and unsympathetic. I am sure this review will be removed quickly but those who do see it you are forewarned. I just want to save a homeowner from what I had to endure emotionally and financially.

Janice, We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. After reviewing our records, it appears your roof installation was performed by Batterbee Roofing for a homebuilder, not directly under contract with you as the homeowner. The roof was completed more than five years ago, and the builder’s warranty coverage expired over two and a half years prior to when you reported the leak. When you contacted us regarding the issue, our operations manager explained that Batterbee no longer services the Palm Coast area due to its distance from our operations center and recommended finding a qualified local contractor. We understand this was disappointing, but our team offered that information respectfully and apologized for the inconvenience. The photos you later shared indicated a nail that had rusted and allowed water intrusion behind a roof batten. That condition developed well beyond the warranty period. We also recommended reaching out to your home builder in case any coverage remained available through them. As for the slipped tiles you mentioned more recently, those were not reported following last year’s repair by another contractor and may have been caused by subsequent weather events common to the area, including hurricanes. We take pride in our workmanship and customer communication and always aim to provide clear and fair guidance, even when issues fall outside our service or warranty scope. We wish you the best with your home and appreciate the opportunity to clarify the circumstances

You left 4 leaks and did nothing to fix them. You send your worker to check on the incompetent work you did and then disappeared. I have written to you and given 2 choices. Either you refund the $ 1000 I paid you or I will go to court and have the judge tell you to pay me back. In the second case, you will not only have to return the deposit but also the court case and any lawyer fees. Your choice. I want an answer/money by the end of November.

    Reply from the business

Hi Maria, We’re sorry to hear about your experience and understand your frustration. We completed the contracted work, coating approximately 600 square feet of aluminum roofing with silicone, for which payment has not been received in full. When you reported additional leaks, you reached out to your representative, Scott, on 8/11/25. Our team promptly sent a technician to inspect your roof the following day. The inspection confirmed that the reported issue was unrelated to the coating work. We explained that further investigation would require removing adjacent shingles, which falls outside the original scope of work and would incur an additional cost; you chose not to proceed. We stand behind our workmanship and remain available to discuss any further options. Please contact us directly at 352-748-6300 so we can assist you further.

I called Batterbee roofing about warranty claim for Tamko shingle warranty. Jason showed up and said yes, the shingles are bad and should be under warranty and he would get the information to me to about filing a claim and then NOTHING. I have texted him at least four times after he said he would get the information to me as soon as he got to a computer. Well, I called the office on 08/25 1:10 PM and spoke with someone that said a sales manager or Jason would get in contact with me, guess what? NOTHING. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, i WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY.

We completely understand how disappointing it must feel to be left without communication after being told you’d receive follow-up information. Update 4/22/25 Still frustrated. Made an appointment with Manny on 24 March at 10:00, he was a no show. No calls although he came by about 5 hours after the appointment was scheduled. We then scheduled an appointment to fix the shoddy workmanship in 2 weeks on 8 April. The night before the scheduled fix I rcvd a text that the flashing wasn’t in. Ok 2 weeks later still waiting….no communication and I could have went to Lowe’s or Home Depot to get the flashing.emailed owner Justin Blandford with no response! Original post: I would go 1/2 star. Roof looks ok from what I can see. Not great at metal work around some areas. Had a solar skylight put in at the same time the roof was complete. Had some minor cracking in the ceiling around solar tube. Had to fix AC ducts since they were not working (kinked), also had to fix garage door opener (wire in attic was pulled out) Response to your reply to my post 3/19/25. So At 1:20 I replied to manny and at 1:43 I replied to you the owner, So please don’t make your mistakes and shoddy work about me not contacting you for 3 hours! —— ok response to your post 3/20/24 .. I’m embarrassed to be litigating this on google but as I stated in the email sent 3/19/25 I would like correspondence via email or text. I have not received any response since yesterday at 2:15 so again a communication issue on my part ….. ? 1. (Batterbee) 12/11/24, a walkthrough with the project manager took place at that time. Response: OK I was in the hospital in San Antonio, so my wife was able to sign off on your certificate of completion on 12/11/24. So your guy showed her what you did and signed. That doesn’t excuse the shoddy workmanship as presented in the pictures. 2. Response: Scott, Thank you for sharing your concerns. We understand your frustration, and we value the opportunity to address your feedback. During this call, you confirmed that all work had been completed satisfactorily, and the walkthrough earned a 5-star review from you. 721/25 !!!! All right this is a follow-up from the original review we were told everything was going to be taken care of and that they were going to reimburse us for the electrician the engineer was going to submit the paperwork none of that has happened as of today just went to the insurance company they say it's all still pending go to the tax collector's office they said that the engineer hasn't submitted the paperwork (properly) yet still haven't received my check for reimbursement!!! This is completely unacceptable!!!! And we are tired of running in circles!! And top it all off they call my mother within minutes of me updating my review to tell her that you'll send the check if I take the review down that's not how this works that's blackmail/bribery!!! (Original review)I'll start by saying in the beginning this company seemed like a very good choice to go with the reviews seemed good salesman came out gave a quote everything seemed good they came they did my Mothers new roof they left and then she realized that she had no power to three different places in her home that had power to prior to them putting the new roof on so she let them know they then informed her that she would have to hire her own electrician to "prove" that it was something that was done on their part so she did that the electrician came out and immediately found a very large nail through the Wire in a spot where they had just put new wood on the roof she let them know and sent the pictures they turned around then and claimed that it's not their problem because they claim my wiring wasn't up to "code" okay fine we chalk that up to a loss we're not going to fight over that but then she goes to her insurance company to get everything worked out since she got my new roof put on and Is supposed to be getting a significant decrease in her insurance premiums with the new roof now and her insurance agent informs her that the permit was rejected by the county and said she would ha

Hi Sheri, Thank you for sharing your review. We genuinely appreciate your feedback, as we are committed to transparency and ensuring every homeowner who reads our reviews are fully informed. Your voice matters, and we take your comments seriously. To clarify a few points: We work directly only with property owners or those properly authorized to act on their behalf, such as individuals with a Power of Attorney (POA). This is a fundamental part of how we operate to protect both our customers and our team. Our dedication to honest service is reflected in our strong track record of positive reviews—both here and with the Better Business Bureau. Regarding your concerns, it’s important to note that building codes evolve over time. When a home is built, it is constructed according to the codes in place at that time. Years later, when a homeowner hires a contractor—such as for a roof replacement—the home may no longer meet the most current standards. Roofing contractors specialize in roofing systems, not electrical work. As a result, they may not be aware of improperly routed or outdated electrical wiring in the attic or roof areas. In cases like this, roofing work might unintentionally disturb existing electrical lines, which can lead to issues such as power loss. This is why we strive to clearly communicate upfront that unforeseen issues may arise during the course of a roofing project. Regarding insurance discounts, we want to clarify that we are not licensed insurance agents or brokers, and therefore, we cannot comment on eligibility or availability of discounts. We recommend that homeowners speak directly with their insurance provider about these matters, and it appears that this is what happened here. As for the permitting process, you are correct that there were inspection-related challenges. We spoke with the homeowner multiple times about this. The photos we submitted—complete with timestamps and location data—did not meet the county's requirements for

Batterbee was the first quote I received when looking for a company to replace my roof. Scott instantly gave me really good vibes. His presentation was very thorough and he even gave me tips for what to look for other quotes I might be getting. I liked how Batterbee provided a detailed list of every product they use and the video Scott showed me demonstrating the entire process was a nice touch. Even though I had a few quotes come in lower than Batterbee, going with them was a no brainer because they felt like a company with integrity and that I could trust. The process was quick and simple. I think it was maybe 3 or so weeks from signing the contract to the roof day. Matt, the site supervisor, was very communicative and nice. He made sure I was updated with everything going on and also ensured all the clean up was satisfactory. The roof also looks beautiful, shout out to the guys working on the roof in August in Florida! I am very happy that I went with Batterbee. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing a roof!

This is the only company to provide good information and respected our needs rather the “hotbox” us for a full treatment. We have a mid-life roof that needed a small repair. The company advised us truthfully about what we were and we’re not getting. The repair was done (as well as some very nasty gutter cleaning) at a fair price. Five stars!

Batterbee Roofing did an excellent job replacing my roof seven years ago. They are a Platinum Contractor with Owens Corning. I have the Platinum Warranty and the highest rated Architectural shingles. After I replaced my old water heater tank with a tankless water heater, I discovered a leak in the roof where the old water heated was vented. The Batterbee representative came out to inspect the leak, as well as the entire roof. He arrived as scheduled, photographed the roof and reviewed the results with me. He resealed the water tank vent and three solar tubes. The warranty covered the repairs. Once again, Batterbee Roofing was very responsive and provided outstanding customer service. If you need a reliable roofing company, call Batterbee!

I had a solor tube installed. They told me the best place to install it for the most light. They gave estimates for one solor tube and for multiple tubes. We chose to go with one for now. No pressure to buy additional. They installed our roof so it made sense to me to have them do this additional roof work.
