  We have used Barnes Roofing before and had good experiences but this time they really dropped the ball. We had some wind damage about a week ago and called them to have someone come over and give us an estimate. We talked to the receptionist who told us they would come out as soon as they could. We waited and waited and called and called. We couldn't reach a real person yet we live only a few miles from them and when we drove by their office, they were there. At any rate, they never did touch base with us on coming out so we found a new roofer. When we called them, even though it was after 4pm, they came out within half an hour and repaired our roof at a reasonable price. Totally pleased with that. Even if Barnes had been busy, all we wanted and should have gotten was a call to touch base with us and let us know we were at least on the schedule. They have lost our business for good. UPDATE: Interesting. We got a call from Barnes Roofing tonight. The man who called was very irate about us "bashing" their company. My husband, who spoke with him was in shock as they were actually yelling at him because of our review. I was on the couch next to him and could hear his raised voice from where I was. I wish I could take off another star from this review because of the total lack of professionalism we experienced with this company. No matter how you put it, even with the holiday on Thursday, we gave them 3 working days to get back with us to deal with a roof emergency and they NEVER even called us...not once. Maybe they should learn from that instead of taking out their frustration on a returning customer.

  Called to schedule an estimate 3 weeks back and was told they would have someone out that week. I never heard back so I called. Somehow it was missed so it was scheduled for Tuesday 4/2. No show, no call, nothing. Called again today 20 …

  Hello Andrew I’m sorry that you had that experience. I can assure you by all of our other reviews and customers that we always strive to get to everyone. I would like to start by saying that our office employees are not in the office and that does make it more complicated transfer information. Also we have been busier than could ever be imagined. The problem that we’re having is keeping up with the estimates. I have recently hired In additional estimator. However unfortunately it is very hard to get someone that knows roofing well that can measure and treat a customer properly. Up until now we have been able to deal with the volume. We are growing fast and Gary’s legacy will not be in vain. We stand strong in the Bedford community and we will continue to. Once again I am sorry for experience Andrew it will be a lesson and I promise you we are trying🙂

  I spoke with Nichole in the office to set up for an estimate, scheduled the estimate for the following wednesday. When wednesday came i called to see if they had an eta, she said she would check and call back and i never recieved that return call. when i called back at 4pm to speak with a manager i heard him say well what does he want, when he got on the phone he assured me that he would personally come out and perform my estimate first thing the next morning. well that time has come and gone with still no estimate. I lived in bedford my whole life with my family having numerous business ventures with Gary Barnes. I guess times have changed and they dont pride themselves on a strong name with the community anymore. Shame things had to be this way.

  Called 2 weeks ago to get an estimate for aluminum siding repair...haven't heard back yet. Poor communication practices and bad first impression.

  Very unprofessional. Roof is still leaking after they did the repairs. I have been trying for 2 months to get them to come back out. Every time they say they are going to be here, they do not show up! This is even after talking to the owner and getting a guarantee from them that they will be out! Do not waste your time!

  Our apologies for any confusion. The call was returned the same day it was received. We ask for the insurance damage report from a storm to help advocate for the customer. We review the report to see what the insurance company is covering then make an appointment to meet with the customer and evaluate the damage. If the insurance adjuster missed anything or didn't include something in the report we can then send a supplement to make sure anything additional is paid by the insurance. If a customer doesn't want to share the report with us we can always send a quote without it which was told to the customer after trying to explain the reason for asking for the adjuster's report.   I had severe damage to my roof and siding from the hail storm. Barnes Roofing did a beautiful job on a new roof, siding and gutters. I did not have to deal with multiple contractors. They are great.

  We could not be happier with our experience with Barnes Roofing. Dealing with Allen was a complete pleasure. He's honest, up front and fair. He got our job scheduled quickly, considering how busy they are. They're supplies were delivered to our home anfew days prior to the job and the guys who came were kind and professional. The day before the job they called to remind us to park our vehicle outside since they would be in the driveway and then the morning of, they made sure that we did this before they started setup. Honestly, I probably wouldn't have thought to do that! They tarpped our windows and so much of our property surrounding the house to protect from damage and make clean up easy. They even moved some of our patio furniture completely away from the house. Clearly, they have this down to a science and we were so impressed. They worked so efficiently and cleaned up every bit of debris that was in our yard.. I felt very comfortable and safe with the people who were here doing the work. Our roof looks beautiful. We are just really happy with everything. Thanks Barnes Roofing!

  The owner Allen is a great guy. He was a ton of help with my roof issue, from the moment I contacted the company. He always responded to calls and texts extremely promptly! All around extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I contacted Barnes Roofing for storm damage on my house. Allen came out and patched my problem area very quickly. A week later we had another storm and I had more damage on my garage roof. Once again, he was out very quickly and patched the damaged area. I couldn’t be more pleased with the customer service from this company! Thank you, Allen and Kitty for all your help! I would highly recommend working with this company.

  Barnes replaced my roof on April 30, 2025. What a great company. From meeting with sales representative Dave throughout the entire roof replacement process everything went smoothly and on schedule. Follow up with Greg and Linsey was another plus. I highly recommend Banes for your roofing job.

  My brother Peter and I just had had our roof done and not only did they finish in one day the work is beautiful! It looks so neat and clean! The color of the tiles is also stunning! They do have financing options which definitely helped. I have no idea if it's typical for roofers to clean your gutters while they're up there but they cleaned them and took down this old dish satellite. No complaints with the work whatsoever! However the reason this isn't 5 stars is because of how they schedule. I feel like we had to call a LOT to get answers on when the work was being done. They would tell how many weeks out we were but could not give us a solid date of when the work was scheduled to be performed. I would say perhaps revamp they way you schedule appointments and give solid dates without the customer having to keep calling in and this would be a 5 star review! I got referred to this company from my coworker Bob B and I couldn't be more happy with not only the work but the price as well! Completely satisfied and wish only the best for the Barnes company! I will definitely be recommending them to anyone who needs roofing 🙂‍↕️

  Thank you so much for the wonderful endorsement for Barnes Roofing! Regarding scheduling, there are many variables that go into that. Jobs are placed on the schedule as they come in. We try to give an approximate timeline but some jobs take longer than expected, repairs are being done and of course the weather is a factor. However, we will try to do our best!   First our neighbors walk by and comment how sharp the new roof and gutters look. Then they say “Really, they did it in just One Day!” Yes they did and cleaned up before they left. Zero damage to flower beds or foliage. AND Gutter Guards to round out the job.
