All in all, I'm satisfied with the finished product. With that said though, there were many things that could have been improved with the overall experience - particularly around communication. Our small historic home had a mess of a roof which needed to be replaced (two layers of cedar shake shingles plus a layer of asphalt shingles on top). Obviously this required quite a bit more time and effort to remove before the actual replacement could begin, but what I was told several times would be a 5 day job though ended up taking 8 - and that's before I had to have their crews come back out several more times over the following weeks to fix things that weren't complete/correct. My chief complaint though is the lack of communication throughout the project. On the first day of the project, I had to reach out to confirm that the crews were still planning on coming since no one had showed up yet on Monday morning. During the week, when I noticed that things were progressing slower than I'd expected, I called the office to get an update and was told that it they'd need until the coming Monday to finish. Monday came and went though and the crews finally left on Wednesday. Apparently no one (foreman, supervisor, etc.) inspected the finished roof and no one ever reached out to me after the job was completed to see if everything was satisfactory. I had to inspect the roof myself and reach out to their office after discovering that crews made several mistakes including: Installing the wrong color flashings/chimney cap, breaking a vent coming out of our roof, installing gutters that weren't properly sloped, leaving a handful of nail holes in shingles, breaking a fence post, and breaking 2 in-ground sprinklers. After notifying them of the issues and being told crews would be out that week to fix everything - that didn't happen. The first crew that came out only fixed the nail holes. When I reached out to find out when the rest of the items would be fixed, they had no id

Put me between a rock and hard place, feels like I spent a fortune with only a 5 yr warranty.

    Reply from the business

Hi Deanna, It sounds like you spoke with Ryan today and why you are posting the review 5 years after we helped you with your roofing project is still a bit unclear but I thought I would respond either way. I was told that the original work had involved another roofing contractor, who did some work on the lower section of shingles. We then helped you get your roof system fixed and you were happy with the service. We are now outside of the standard warranty coverage timeframe (which is standard in the industry) and it sounds like you are unhappy but it’s still unclear as to why. We stand behind all of our work and if you could be more specific as to why you posted this it would be appreciated. Sincerely The Aspen Roofing Team

I was interrupted from a meeting at work to what sounded like someone putting a ladder on my home, banging the side of my home as hard as they could, which made my dog go crazy. I go outside and see that someone put a ladder on the side of my home out of absolutely nowhere. I look around and see an "Aspen roofing" truck a few houses down. I ask if they put a ladder on my house and they say yes. Mind you, there was absolutely no warning, they didn't leave anything on the door ahead of time, nor try to knock and ask if they can get on my roof let alone hit my home with their ladder and interrupt my work day, nothing. I asked why they didn't knock, and what the hell they think they're doing getting on my roof out of nowhere and the guy said "I don't know". I tell them to stay away from my home and started to walk back and he calls out to me "sometimes I knock". Why would you even say that? You didn't knock to ASK if you can get on my roof, so it obviously doesn't matter to me if you "sometimes" knock because you didn't knock for me. And why only knock sometimes? Knock 100% of the times that you're going to get on someone's roof, or get out of the roofing business. This guy doesn't express a modicum of respect or concern for the neighbors of people he's doing work for, I wouldn't expect him to respect you as a customer either. For some context as to why this is absolutely unacceptable, apart from the obvious: at this time I was dealing with issues in my attic and on my roof, and I was working on that myself with other contractors. This guy absolutely should not be getting on random roofs that he doesn't know are safe and that he doesn't know he's not going to be damaging by getting on them. Also my second story windows are the only obvious ways to break into my home, the other windows are securely locked and have alarms but if someone were to put a ladder exactly where this guy did and try to break into my home, if they tried hard enough, they probably could. If it we

Dear Mr. Kupka, I have gone through all of our records of customers and cannot find your name anywhere. I'm not sure where you live but we have 20 installers and without an approximate location I'm not sure which installer it was that stopped by your house. I am wondering if one of our employees meant to be working on a home in your neighborhood and accidentally went to your home instead. Either way I apologize on behalf of our employee. It is a rule in our company to knock on the customers door before starting work on their home. I just unfortunately can't enforce this rule without knowing who the employee is (since you are not a customer of ours). You can call or email us directly with an approximate location of your home if you would like us to continue our research efforts so we can discuss directly with that individual. Otherwise, I'm sorry for the inconvenience it caused you.

The workers sat in there trucks and charged me for hours they did not work. They over double charged me Terrible business I called and called and finally the owner called me and complained to me that he was loosing money. It’s not my fault that his workers milked the job

This work Was done on 2/10/23 and invoiced on 02/16/23 Russ was called and sent multiple invoices by my staff, it is now October, 2023. I offered him a discount of $900.00 off his $2,700.00 for the time he said my guys were sitting in there trucks. We all know the record snow we had last year and my crews work very hard all day, every day and deserve to take a break during the work day to warm up and eat food. Russ then Told me he would pay $700.00 and I said that was not expectable then he said talk to my attorney, which I replied I'll just send it to collections then he hung up on me. Hi Carlos. I can't find your information in our QuickBooks so just wondering if you may have the wrong Aspen Roofing? I believe you may have posted a review about the wrong company. We do not have a store and don't provide roofing materials directly to contractors. We are a roofing company based out of Salt Lake and Park City areas in Utah only. Can you please double check your records and if we are indeed not the company you meant to post on kindly remove your review? Thank you so much.

after a week delay Ryan came out and gave me an estimate. I accepted the proposal and sent in a deposit. a couple of days later I called and sent an e-mail asking when they could do the job and where I was on the schedule, the lady on the phone said the production manager had gone home for the day and would call me the next day. a couple of days later after not getting a call I called again and got the same response: "He will call you tomorrow" tomorrow came and went with no call. now I needed this job done as soon as possible because it was holding up a mortgage refinance. I concluded I was being given the runaround and began to look for another roofer, found one that "communicated" and gave prompt service. I wrote and called Aspen to tell them that I had to cancel the job ... of course they have kept my deposit. I have to give them no stars for terrible customer communication. regards: Paul Christean

came out to my house and started looking at the work I needed done. He left without any notice. I called the company a few hours later and was told a I would receive a quote on the work within a day. After calling a dozen times I finally received a quote 6 days later. The price was very high. I’m not an expert at siding but my jaw dropped when I saw the quote.

Thank you for your review. I am sorry to hear that your experience with our salesman went the way that it did. First and foremost our sales team should always let the customer know that they are arriving at their home. I don't see the instructions given to the salesman, but normally we let the customer know when we arrive and when we leave. Sometimes however our sales team are scheduled to go to do estimates with homeowners who don't want to be present. They simply want us to come out, take measurements, and e-mail them a bid. Either way I'm sorry that you weren't given the opportunity to meet with him. We are playing catch up on our estimates due to COVID-19 and having our office shut down for a few weeks. I apologize for the delay in getting you the bid in a timely manner. Normally we send them out within a couple days at most. I reviewed your estimate for the work that you want done, including the garage work and it is a pretty large section of area. In other words the bid seemed accurate for the amount of work you were looking for. Again, my apologies that your service was not to both your expectations as well as ours. Good luck with your project. Sincerely, The Aspen Roofing Team

Needed new soffit. Called Ryan, he came out and looked at job. Said he would be back to me in a few days. That was 3 months ago. He has ignored my calls & text. If he didn't want to do the job, he could do the courtesy of responding.

    Reply from the business

Dear Bill. Due to the time of year and shortage of labor this season we've been behind on bids for items other than full roof systems. I spoke with Ryan who mentioned you've been a good customer with us and he apologized for not getting back to you when you originally asked for the bid. He is concerned though because he hasn't received additional phone calls from you on his cell number. If you have been contacting the office line and haven't received calls back we would certainly like to know to address it as a training issue. Again we apologize for not getting that original bid out to you as requested. Sincerely, Aspen Roofing

Thank you, Aspen Roofing, for doing an amazing job replacing the roof on our cabin! You previously installed the roof on our home in the valley, and we were so impressed with the quality of your work that we trusted you with our cute little cabin as well. From start to finish, your team was professional, reliable, and attentive to detail. The new roof looks fantastic and has completely transformed the cabin. We truly appreciate the craftsmanship and care that went into the project. I've included before-and-after photos so others can see the incredible difference. We highly recommend Aspen Roofing to anyone looking for quality work and outstanding service!

Ryan Brady is amazing. He knows SO much. He is extremely thorough, and he was able to diagnose a leak in our new roof, which was installed by a different roofer. When we called Aspen Roofing for answers, Ryan came right over and dug in. He didn't cut corners. He spent time with us, and he went into the details. We felt reassured, and we have a clear sense of direction. We wish we had worked with Aspen Roofing from the beginning. We would have saved so much money, time, and frustration. But we're working with them now, and we are happy. Thank you, Ryan. :)

At Aspen Roofing, we believe in taking the time to thoroughly inspect roofing issues, explain our findings, and help homeowners make informed decisions. We're glad Ryan's expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to finding answers gave you peace of mind during a frustrating situation. While we're sorry you've had to deal with challenges from a previous roof installation, we're grateful for the opportunity to earn your trust moving forward. Thank you again for choosing Aspen Roofing. We look forward to helping you protect your home for years to come!

I just had Aspen Roofing replace my roof. I 100% recommend them for quality and care. Craig was great and helped from beginning to end, starting with the design choices. Eddy R. repaired a couple of broken trusses. He even threw away old PVC for me that the radon company had tossed in my attic when I had mitigation done. Ry came out and answered the many questions I had and explained aspects of how things are done. Eduardo and Joel did the demo and put on the new roof and metal. They were great to work with and did a beautiful job.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! We’re glad our Aspen Roofing team was able to quickly diagnose the issue and provide the right solution without recommending unnecessary roof replacement. Proper roof ventilation is so important, especially during Utah winters when whole house humidifiers can create excess attic moisture and lead to problems like soffit dripping, condensation, and poor attic airflow. We’re happy we could improve your home with professional roof venting upgrades, including DeckAir intake ventilation and a ridge vent exhaust system, to create balanced attic ventilation and stop the moisture issue. We truly appreciate your trust in Aspen Roofing for honest roofing inspections, competitively priced roof ventilation repairs, and quality workmanship. Thank you for choosing us for your roof ventilation and attic moisture solution!
