The critical reviews

The one and two-star reviews, first. These are what a star average hides, and they are the reason this page exists.

We hold no one or two-star review text for Antebellum Roofworks. That is not the same as there being none — it means our capture did not reach any. The rating breakdown above is Google’s own count and is the number to go on.

Thank You Ms. Claire it was a pleasure working with you installing the correct standing seam profile and skylight for your low sloped roof. Its a shame you didn't get what you paid for from the builder and other contractor the first time. Forest Home is my favorite part of Franklin, TN. Please call on us anytime!

We just had Antebellum Roofworks install a new standing seam metal roof to replace an old screw-down metal roof that had completely failed, and we couldn’t be happier. For years we kept throwing money at maintenance and interior repairs …

We're long-time homeowners in Leipers Fork/Franklin, TN, and Antebellum Roofworks continues to impress us. What really sets them apart is they took the time to properly address structural framing deficiencies before installing our new roof - not every company is willing to do things the right way. We first used Antebellum Roofworks way back in 1995, and it says a lot that they're still here and still delivering the same level of quality and care. Over the years, we've trusted them with two roof replacements, followed by new gutters, and most recently gutter leaf guards. Every experience has been positive, professional, and stress-free. It's rare to find a company with this kind of longevity and consistency, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Antebellum Roofworks to anyone looking for a roofer they can trust long-term.

Thank you so much, Betty, for your kind words and continued trust in Antebellum Roofworks over the years. We're delighted to hear that our team has consistently delivered quality and care, especially in addressing structural framing needs before roof installations. Your support and positive experiences with our services, from roof replacements to new gutters, mean a lot to us.

Antebellum did such a great job with our historical property. I was amazed that they were able to get my insurance company to buy me a new roof. I was even happier when Kevin was able to negotiate the historic roofing material and details and get them to triple the settlement offer once the roof was properly inspected and identified. If you have an old house or an insurance claim give them a call

A Brand-New Roof. A Potential $67,000 Problem. Most homeowners assume a new roof means peace of mind. Not always. During a recent roof inspection in Franklin, TN, we evaluated a luxury residential roof replacement that looked beautiful from the ground. However, a closer inspection revealed deficiencies in critical copper flashing, chimney flashing, sheet metal details, drainage systems, and roof-to-wall transitions that could require more than $67,000 in corrective work. The lesson is simple: The most expensive roof isn’t the one that costs the most upfront—it’s the one that has to be repaired or rebuilt. Shingles are only part of a roofing system. Long-term performance depends on properly installed flashings, valleys, dormers, drip edge, chimneys, and architectural sheet metal details. These hidden components are what protect your home from leaks and premature failure. As a Franklin TN roofing contractor, we regularly inspect roofs throughout Franklin, Brentwood, Nashville, and Murfreesboro and find that many homeowners never see the details that matter most. Before signing a roofing contract, ask exactly what flashings will be replaced, what materials will be used, and whether installation details meet manufacturer requirements. Two proposals may both say “new roof.” The difference could be tens of thousands of dollars in future repairs. The details matter.May 30, 2026Call now
