We had A best come for an estimate and to assist us with insurance, he stated he found damage from storm but when he met with insurance he agreed with them it was not the storm. Why go through it all? Why didn’t he tell us from the start instead of weeks meeting and fighting with insurance to meet and agree with them? So pretty much thanks for the waste of time. We would’ve went a different route from the start had we known. We trusted but not anymore.

Terrible customer service experience. They will only come out for a quote if you and your spouse are available. I found the standard patriarchal. When they called back to see if I'd had a chance to speak to my spouse, they pushed my quote out by 2 weeks! I will never recommend them.

Simply based off their drivers I'd never let them near my houses. Some of the worst drivers in Tulsa. That type of incompetence and heights don't mix.

We had an extremely weird experience with A-Best that ultimately led us to canceling our appointment for (what we thought was) a roof inspection. TLDR: A-Best being weirdly sexist about my roof & being blatantly obvious that they intended to sell us a new one, even though all we wanted was an inspection Long version: As we prepare to sell our house, our realtor suggested we get a roof inspection to get ahead of any issues that could pop up in a buyer's inspection. Realtor suggested A-Best. My husband (who works from home) called A-Best to schedule that inspection, and was grilled by the A-Best employee about what he does for a living (we felt this was irrelevant, but whatever), his wife's name and what his wife does for a living (weird for just assuming that he has a wife, and also irrelevant), and if his wife would be available to attend the inspection. He said he wasn't sure, and the agent strongly pushed him to consider talking to his wife before scheduling the inspection. My husband went ahead and scheduled, against the wishes of the A-Best agent. Skip to today, the day of the inspection, and my husband gets a call from the same agent, asking if I (wife) would be present for the inspection. He said no, because I was at work, and then asked why any of this was relevant for a basic roof inspection. The agent then pressured him to make sure I could attend because "there are lots of choices for colors and other options and your wife will want to make those decisions." My husband canceled the appointment in response to this, because it was indicative that 1. they're doubling down on being weird and 2. they were going to try to sell us on a new roof, including pressure to choose "colors and options," even though all we wanted was a seller's inspection. All in all a bizarre experience. I'm all for consulting your partner in making aesthetic decisions about your home... but this crossed a line in multiple weird ways. Saw several other reviews with the same experienc

Hi Joise, thank you for sharing this feedback. We're genuinely sorry to hear that what should have been a simple inspection request turned into such a frustrating and uncomfortable experience for you and your husband. It sounds like our team missed the mark by applying a 'one-size-fits-all' approach to your call. While we do encourage all homeowners to be present for major project consultations to answer questions in real-time, we clearly failed to recognize that you weren't looking for a sales presentation, you were looking for a professional assessment for your realtor. Pressuring your husband about your career and availability was overstepping, and the assumptions made about 'colors and options' were misplaced given your specific goals. We appreciate you calling this out, as it helps us re-evaluate how we train our scheduling team to better listen to our customers' unique needs. We wish you the best of luck with your home sale, please accept our apologies for this breakdown in communication.

A best only will schedule a inspection if the home owner is present. And want to charge $350.00 to do so without the homeowner being present. Which means the homeowners assistant cant even handle it Lost business .

We’re sorry to hear this was a frustrating experience and truly appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. Because a new roof is a significant investment, we do prefer to involve the homeowner directly during inspections so we can answer questions and make sure all options are clear. For that reason, we prefer the homeowner to be present. In certain situations, we can perform an inspection without the homeowner present for a $350 inspection fee, which helps cover additional time and liability. Unfortunately, this means an assistant or third party is not able to take the homeowner’s place at no cost. We’re sorry this didn’t work out and regret losing the opportunity to earn your business.

Estimate Not Provided Without Watching Full Sales Pitch I scheduled an appointment for a roofing estimate. The representative inspected the roof, took photos and videos, but would not provide a written estimate without requiring me to sit through a full sales presentation. When I stated I was collecting multiple bids, the rep told me they were ‘not the company for customers who shop with their wallet.’ I was also told warranty information was only available in their video presentation, not in written form. I ended the meeting without receiving an estimate. Homeowners should be aware that this company will not give you pricing unless you sit through their entire sales pitch.

Thank you for sharing your feedback Jenny. We’re sorry to hear that your experience didn’t reflect the level of service we aim to provide. We always want homeowners to feel informed and comfortable, and your comments highlight an opportunity for us to improve. Our goal during inspections is to clearly explain roof conditions, answer questions, and provide all necessary information so homeowners can make confident decisions, whether they choose us or another company. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and would be glad to provide any missing details or clarify our process if you'd like to reconnect.

Great roof. Bad customer service. No follow up. Boss on the job was not very thorough. But a good roof.

We were very pleased with our roof inspection and subsequent repair performed by A Best. We lost very large limbs from the big sycamore tree in our back yard as a result of the last considerable wind storm. The limbs did not hit the house, thankfully, but we did see loose shingles afterward. We contacted A Best as the last company that replaced our roof almost 2 decades ago is no longer doing business in Tulsa. We weren’t disappointed! From the prompt and thorough roof inspection in punishing heat to include photographs to explaining the results and costs in detail and scheduling service (thanks Nate!), A Best were wonderful to work with. Although our aging roof did not suffer enough damage for replacement, there were vents that did need to be replaced and sealed. A repair team were scheduled quickly to perform the work. They arrived early (bravo) on the date scheduled. The two man team were quiet and worked diligently. The workmen took photos to demonstrate the repair work they’d performed. They also replaced any shingles that were loose. We now know this winter our roof won’t leak around our vents. We were billed for the repairs which showed good faith. We are very pleased with A Best from beginning to end. When the roof needs to be replaced they’ll definitely be who we call. We highly recommend them.

What Should You Expect From a Roofing Contractor? Homeowners often wonder what level of service they should expect when hiring a professional. A-Best Roofing helps clarify what defines a reliable Roofing Contractor in Tulsa. A quality contractor begins with a thorough inspection rather than immediate recommendations. This ensures decisions are based on actual conditions rather than assumptions. Clear communication is also essential so property owners understand their options. A-Best Roofing emphasizes transparency throughout every project, from initial evaluation to final completion. This includes explaining materials, timelines, and expected outcomes in simple terms. Another important expectation is workmanship consistency. Proper installation techniques and attention to detail directly impact how long a roof performs under local weather conditions. Choosing the right Roofing Contractor means prioritizing experience, clarity, and long term reliability over quick fixes.
