  DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Was a horrible experience!! Mac the one who does storm damages missed two inspections with the insurance inspector and did even bother to call us to let us know it was cancelled twice!! He never returns calls or texts!! Only put have the damages on my claim and when I asked why he said he likes to do it in sections. Took for ever to put my claim in. Has attitude is very lazy office would never pick up the phone and then hung up on me. Do not use this company at all.!!

  This company contacted me after I did a Google search or roof repair. They had me sign a contract for them to be my adjuster. I haven't heard from them in months. I wonder if the insurance company paid them off. I would not recommend.

  This company replaced my roof in 2020 through an insurance claim totaling approximately $70,000. Fast forward five years, I went to sell the property and the home inspection revealed a section of the roof was missing shingles. I assured the buyers it would be handled, as the roof came with a 10-year warranty. When I contacted the company, they initially denied responsibility, stating they would never leave a roof incomplete and questioned how the shingles could be missing. Several days later, they emailed me admitting that the insurance company “only paid for one less square,” so they intentionally did not install shingles in that area. I was never notified at the time of installation that the roof was left incomplete, nor was I given the option to address it. Now, despite the warranty, they are refusing to complete the roof. Leaving a section unfinished without disclosure — and then refusing to correct it — is extremely unprofessional and not the level of service anyone should expect from a roofing company.   Please do your research and do not use this company unless you're bored in life and want some entertainment. The 5 star reviews have to be getting paid to do so because it is not believable. The first time I met Mac (back in March), I informed him that I was hesitant to use Windy City after reading all of the Google reviews. He reassured me that his goal is to do a good job so he can have more referrals and not to let a few bad experiences from others scare me away. Boy were the Google reviews right. At the beginning, he was attentive. He came out right away to take pictures and remove a sample of our siding and shingles to "send in for testing." A week later he sent someone else out to grab another piece of siding and a shingle, as the first ones were too small. The insurance ultimately didn't want to cover our claim, which I understand. I asked Mac for my shingles and siding back, he informed me he no longer has the pieces, that the "testing" facility has them but they were thrown away. I contacted the testing facility and was told they could not find me in their system by name, address, phone # or insurance claim number. I then called Mac back and informed him of this, magically my shingles and siding showed up in his office on May 20. Since then, I have never heard back from him. At this point, he can keep my shingles and siding just so I dont have to deal with this company again. He has a hard time returning emails, calls and texts. Just like other reviews say, when you leave a negative comment, it is not warranted. I have proof to back up what I say so dont respond acting dumbfounded.

  Worst roofing experience ever. Would not recommend. Edit: You guys ran away with money. You never answer the phone once the money was given. You did not come when you said. Great service! I can be more specific if you need me to.

While we understand that there may have been some frustration, we want to clarify that we went above and beyond to assist with your roofing project, even though the roof was not approved by your insurance company. As a courtesy, we completed work beyond the approved scope to help resolve the issue.However, the situation became more complicated when your daughter requested additional work that was not part of the approved scope of the insurance claim. We are always open to working with our clients, but unfortunately, her actions have made it difficult to reach a resolution. It is important to note that your daughter is not the authorized insured on the policy, nor has she provided us with a power of attorney to act on her behalf. This makes it challenging to communicate and make decisions outside of the terms of the policy and your approval.Additionally, we find it concerning that multiple family members are leaving negative reviews for our company, as this is not only unhelpful but could be considered an unethical practice. They are taking advantage of the situation and providing misleading reviews, which can be seen as an attempt to slander our business. Under Illinois law, providing false or misleading information in reviews is a violation of state regulations and can have legal consequences.   Frank Gomez and his roofing team did a great job installing a new beautiful roof at my home in one day. His team a couple of months ago did a roofing inspection at my home and found hail damage. They were able to get my insurance company to cover most the cost of the new roof. I've attached pictures of before and after the installation of the new roof. I highly recommend that you reach out to Frank Gomez for any roof concerns. Great job guys! 💪

  We want to give a huge compliment to the entire crew at Windy City Construction Group. They were incredibly efficient, professional, and respectful throughout the entire project. Their crew worked quickly while still paying close attention to every detail, and they kept everything so clean the entire time. One thing we especially appreciated was how mindful they were that we have a dog. They took extra care during cleanup and made sure there were no nails or debris left behind. The cleanup was absolutely amazing, and they truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was safe and spotless. The roof looks beautiful, and the entire experience was so much easier because of their hardworking and caring crew. It was a really long day they started at 7am and just finished at 8pm. Please give our compliments and sincere thanks to everyone involved for such an outstanding job! A huge thank you to Windy City Construction Group Mac and Dominic for all of their amazing help throughout this entire process.   I can't say enough good things about Frank G. I recently worked with Frank G. from Windy City Construction, and the entire experience was easy, smooth, and stress-free from start to finish. Frank was professional, knowledgeable, and attentive to every detail throughout the process. He took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all of my questions promptly, and made sure I understood each step along the way.
