Had a roof installed by these Guys back in 2007. Went with them because they were GAF certified. Looked good but started leaking within a few years. Reached out to Lance and he convinced me the step flashing on the siding may not have been right so we paid to have the siding replaced as well. Sixteen years into our thirty year shingles it has been leaking on and off for the last five. Reached back out and got nothing but a roof estimate from Walker (Lance). Went with a different roofer and had the roof replaced. They let me know that there many “scrap” pieces used during the first install and that is why we had so many leaks. Many pieces used between shingles to cut down on waste. Not something you do when roofing. So much better now. No leaks. Would definitely not recommend Walker!!

Walker Roofing and Siding Has been serving the area since 1929. Our customer service and satisfaction is very important to us and as such, we have completed over ten thousand roofs while earning hundreds of five star reviews across several platforms. Walker did install Mr. Ripley’s roof in 2007. Several years later, Mr. Ripley contacted us regarding a leak in a section of his roof. Immediate response was taken, and we were able to find where the roof deck split during installation, and action was taken to resolve this. At a separate location, an exterior wall near the leak had poorly installed vinyl siding. Mr. Ripley agreed with us that this may become a problem in the future, and agreed to have Walker re side the wall. Since then we were not made aware of any roof problems. Now in 2024, 17 years after the original roof install we received a call from Mr. Ripley who stated that his roof was leaking and he wanted an estimates to replace his roof. We set an appointment and went to meet him. While in the neighborhood we observed several homes with new roofs being installed, and many other roofs tarped and learned that there was an extreme weather event that struck the area. Also observed that someone had been on his roof and applied calk on many of the shingle seams. That is when Mr. Ripley told us that his insurance company had been on the roof, calked the seams, and advised him to get roof replacement estimates. We provided Mr. Ripley with an estimate to replace his roof as requested. Mr. Ripely was not happy with our estimate and hired another contractor. It is very disappointing to us that Mr. Ripley had issues with his roof, however storm damage is always a possibility and beyond our control. Walker Roofing & Siding’s goal is always 100% customer satisfaction.

We had a leak where an addition joined the house. Lance and his workers removed the old, improperly installed roof and replaced it entirely. It just took part of a day, the price was very reasonable and the new roof looks great. They also corrected a gutter problem. And cleaned up every scrap.

I called this company out for a soffit repair and capping estimate after another contractor told me the work was urgent and that my soffits would start rotting if I didn't act fast. They took a good look, gave it to me straight, and told me the situation wasn't nearly as dire as I'd been led to believe. They said the repair could wait until add'l work needed to be done (roof/siding) and didn't try to pressure me into signing anything on the spot. Highly recommend if you want a straight answer instead of a scare tactic!!
