  I hired vista roofing to redo all the siding and windows on my house. After all is said and done, definitely can’t say that I recommend this company for residential projects. I found myself through the whole process having to police something I was paying them to oversee and execute correct. Multiple things happen throughout the process but the biggest and most concerning issue is that there team blatantly ignored things like dry rot that was suppose to be ripped out and replaced with osb board. If I hadn’t been here on a Dailey bases during the process I’m throughly convinced this wouldn’t and many other things wouldn’t have been caught. Also, I was promised a certain level of communication throughout the process at the very beginning when I had my first inspection. Dailey updates and pictures throughout the process. A lot of that wasn’t delivered.

  Signed a contract with them and got a call later that evening that they’re increasing the price. This was “after” the contract was provided and signed by both parties. The reasoning was that they “couldn’t perform the job the way it had been quoted”. This is improper business practice. Once you sign a contract and take a check for down payment from a client, this price and work needs to be done unless both parties agree to sever the deal. Instead of working out an agreement and completing the job I asked for the price we agreed on, they offered a new quote nearly three times the original quoted price. I want a soffit fixed, the job is what it is and takes what it takes to get done—you don’t back out of a business agreement because you go back later and think you deserve more money for a job you already agreed on a price for. I got six different companies all quoting me at or below the original price they offered and backed out of because they claimed “It wasn’t going to solve my issue and extra work is needed” and therefore trying to justify this negligent business practice and the insane hike in price. Be very careful working with this company. You can’t even trust the quote you get because you’ll get a call in a few hours from someone other than who quoted you, claiming they were wrong and that how you must pay three times the price you signed and agreed with the company on. In the end, had them void the check and will NEVER do business with this company and will when given the chance, steer others away.

  0 STARS! 1)-Tornado hits 3/3/19 Sunday. They come out to view/estimate damage 3/8 Friday. 2)-Did not here anything for several days so i asked if they were still interested in doing the job. They said yes and the estimate would be sent to me by 3/14. 3)- Estimate was e-mailed(by Joe) to me Friday night. I seen it Sat. morning. It was dated 2/25/19 which was before the tornado hit(3/3). 4)- No insurance company is going to accept that! They missed several items we discussed during the inspection in the quote also. 5)- I brought it to their attention. 6)- **Sunday night they send me an e-mail saying and i quote: "I’m sure by now, your frustration with us is probably past the point of saving this relationship. So I will make this simple for the both of us; we are not the contractor for you. I apologize that it took me 4 days to prepare your estimate and there were a few small details left out"! "I must respectfully bow out of this job". **So...here i am for 2 weeks thinking they are going to take care of this as they said they were! Not Good Business Practice! VERY DISAPPOINTED AND FRUSTRATED THAT WE WASTED ALL THIS TIME(HAVING A TORNADO HIT YOU IS STRESSFUL ENOUGH WITHOUT HAVING A CONTRACTOR LEAD YOU ON FOR 9 DAYS!

  Mr Dooley, Again our apologies that we couldn’t give your claim the attention you expected. Insurance claims require patience, especially in a post storm condition due to the sheer volume of calls. Some of the items left out of your estimate were what we determined as pre existing conditions and not caused by the storm. As a contractor who consistently deals with a homeowner’s insurance company, we didn’t feel comfortable submitting them as such. Our reputation and relationship with these insurance companies is valuable to us as is providing timely and accurate service to the homeowner. As soon as we determined this as a compromising homeowner/contractor relationship we politely recused ourselves. Thank you for the constructive review and a chance to clarify the situation.

  It was such a pleasure using Ben and his team. We had a contractor that left holes in our roof. Ben came out and made quick work of getting everything repaired. I could barely tell he'd been there except for the obvious repairs. I will definitely recommend him to anyone looking for quality work.

  I highly recommend Joe Wallace and Vista Roofing. We recently had a strong storm come through Lake Murray that pulled some of the aluminum flashing loose from the roofline of our home. I contacted Joe and explained that we were getting ready to leave for vacation and really needed to get it taken care of quickly. Joe immediately stepped up. Within two days, he had someone at our house — on a Saturday morning — and they showed up right on time. The work was handled quickly and professionally, and the entire experience was exactly what you hope for when you call someone to work on your home. This also wasn’t our first experience with Joe. We used Vista Roofing to replace the roof on our previous home, and the service was excellent then as well. It’s great to find a company where the owner stands behind his work, responds when you need him, and does what he says he’s going to do. Professional, dependable, responsive, and on time. Those qualities are getting harder to find these days. If you need roofing work, whether it’s a small repair or a complete roof replacement, I wouldn’t hesitate to call Joe Wallace and Vista Roofing.

  They did an awesome job! From presenting the product to finishing the job. Ben did a great job explaining everything and talking us through the insurance process to collecting the funds. Friendly, nice and helpful, giving updates all along the process. The crew worked tirelessly in extreme temperatures, working 12 hours plus the first day. They covered my landscaping, removed all lawn furniture and items that would be in the way before anything else was done. There were updates all along this process as well. After they finished the roof the crew completely cleaned up the whole area and returned furniture back to the porch. There was NO debris or nails anywhere! It’s nice to know there are still companies out there that take pride in their work and do such a tremendous job! Ten thumbs up!!!! Five stars all the way!!
