  Over charged for the shoddy work done on our roof. An inspector came out to help us with our on going roof issues, some of which were supposed to be fixed with the 3000 dollar repair they did. I might avoid this company. Bad experience.

  David P, I apologize for the experience you may have had with VANBECKS. I am unsure who you are and do not know what commercial property you are referring to. If you could please provide this information it would be greatly appreciated. Typically, if gutters need repairs we try to lean our customer towards complete replacement especially if the gutters need "several repairs". The repairs can get quite costly to the point that gutter replacement is the best option for longevity. Depending on what kind of roof the commercial property has installed would decipher on what or how much can be done. I would assume the roof is either an exposed fastener metal roof system or some sort of mechanically fastened flat/low pitch roof. The screws needing to be resealed tells me that the roof is failing in some shape or form. Unless we repaired the entire roof or coated it you will more than likely continue to have issues regardless of any minor repairs made. If this was not brought to your attention I sincerely apologize. To say, "Vanbecks is only capable of doing one thing and not at a very good quality" is absurd. We have been in business for 42 years.   After they tore off my existing roof, they told me the job was harder than they thought and that they were going to charge me $1000 more than the estimate. Don't trust them.

As far as charging more money because the "job was harder" I am not to sure what exactly you are refering to. If you could please clarify it would be appreciated. Unfortunately, on projects there can be unforseen additional work. I know addtional work/costs are not exactly what a homeowner wants to hear, but I assure you we do our best to take care of our customers. Once we start tearing into a project if we notice something deteriorated or damaged out of good morale, building codes, and manufacturer warranties we have to correct these issues.   Vanbecks replaced our 20+ year old roof and we were very satisfied with the service. Steve was very friendly and knowledge! The team was efficient and thorough - replacing the roof in a day with cleanup.

  I worked with Steve and VanBecks for a new roof and some fascia repair after storm damage in 2026. He and his team were easy to communicate with, performed quality work, and completed repairs ahead of schedule. I would work with them again.

  We have an old Victorian home in South Haven that had been repainted (and not scraped) multiple times as well as spray insulation installed from the outside (lots of golf ball sized holes) so it was in need of some serious TLC. Jonathon and his crew were absolutely wonderful to work with and made this look like a completely different house (white is the before, blue is after). His communication was some of the best I have experienced with a contractor and his crew was very experienced and did an excellent job with the install. What is "character" to a home owner is custom tedious work for someone siding it and this house had plenty of "character" that VanBecks was able to preserve. We obtained around 6 different quotes and VanBecks was extremely competitive and now, after seeing the work they did, I feel like we absolutely got our money's worth. Highly recommend to anyone in the Southwest Michigan area.

  Did a great job on my office building, they have replaced a flat roof, and roof drains recently. They have also done several projects for me in the past. Great service and friendly as well! A solid choice for exteriors and roof work!
