  Our experience with Mike was not good. He refused to work with our insurance company. When we signed the contract with Total Roofing, they explained how well they do working with insurance. Very disappointed. Huge hassle.

  We are saddened and disappointed to see this come through for this project especially considered what it was written for. Mrs. Coleman, you stated me (Mike Augustine/Owner) “not wanting to work with your insurance” and we are confused as to how you came to this conclusion. Total roofing works with ALL insurance carriers. I spent many years as an insurance adjuster. I am also a licensed - practicing Public Adjuster in the state of Illinois. This means I am allowed to and practice reading and interpreting Policies. Working with insurance companies is a large part of our business, so you can see how working with insurance companies is something we have to do and something we are very good at by the way. It is also why your insurance agent referred us to you. However, we cannot control the actions of certain carriers and certain adjusters. They act unethical every day and at the end of the day I cannot MAKE them do anything. YOUR RIGHTS: Understanding the rights that you have in your policy would maybe make you realize how this review was probably given to the wrong company. While I never read your specific policy I have read many Travelers Policies, your insurance company owes you for incurred costs that are reasonable and necessary. I have explained this to you many times. NECESSARY ITEMS YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY DID NOT APPROVE: Your insurance company did NOT approve 1. to replace your flashings (this is required by building code R908.5 from the IRC which St. Louis county adopts. 2. Ice and water shield (insurance included a lower priced and lower grade material that is not used in our industry) 3. Low Slope materials - the rear section of the home has a low pitch. I specifically pointed this out to you, your husband and your son. Manufacturers DO NOT allow shingles to be installed on pitches lower than 2/12. Building codes require us to adhere to Manufacturer Install Guidelines and enforce their guidelines. Now, if your roof were to leak because we inst

  Total Roofing did an amazing job on all aspects of our house after a small tornado came through our area. We had a small hiccup with our original guy leaving and having to restart in the queue with someone else but once we got cooking on everything it all moved smoothly. Jessica in the office was great with communication and answering all my questions since we've never been through anything like this before. Once the work was slated it was finished very promptly and if we had any issues arise after they left they were quickly back to fix and make it right. Our whole house got a makeover and it all looks great!

  Harrison and associate came out to house for roof inspection after 4th of July storm. He got right up on the roof looking at damage and loose shingles. I think he was very thorough with inspection and shared information on findings. I’m very happy with the quick response from initial call, and that I chose a local company

  Great experience, helped walk me through the process. The group was very attentive to detail and was present during the whole install. Sid Gallagher and Dustin (PM's) were eager to assist and answer any questions or concerns I had. Jessica Kelly was so quick to respond and follow up when I had any questions prior to and during install as well. Highly recommend.
