Kena, I apologize for your experience and any misunderstanding that may have occurred from it. Thank you for bringing your concerns to my attention, and for taking my call yesterday. It was important for me to hear your concerns firsthand to gain a complete understanding of your experience with The Roof Dr. As I understand, you hired another company to install a new roof on your home a few months ago. Upon noticing that the flashing they performed was incomplete, you contacted The Roof Dr for the first time on July 10th to request an inspection of their work. We scheduled a complimentary inspection/estimate for you within 24 hours on the 11th at 12:30 pm. During the inspection, our estimator listened to your concerns about the roof-to-wall flashings on your craftsman style home, which aligned with the concerns you shared with us over the phone. It is worth noting that your home has aluminum siding, which can be difficult to manipulate without causing damage such as bends or dents. While our estimator identified new step flashing in several areas without manipulating the siding, there were other locations (such as the bay window and cornice strips) where he couldn't clearly see the step flashing without potentially damaging your siding. Due to this limitation, our estimator provided you with a proposal via DocuSign to install new step flashing and apron flashing at the areas in question. Shortly after you accepted the proposal via DocuSign, we scheduled a subsequent appointment for the 13th at 11:00 am to collect a deposit and finalize the details. During this second appointment, your husband requested our estimator to demonstrate the work that would be done. At this point our estimator felt more comfortable manipulating the aluminum siding, given that we had a contract to install new step flashing in these areas. However, while demonstrating the process, he discovered that there was already new flashing in those areas, rendering our contract unnecessary. Recog

Very poor experience and lack of communication from the owner. I would not recommend working with them unless you want a headache!

I wish I could give a good rating as Dan, the owner, was so personable. We needed our roof replaced following storm damage, and Dan came out to survey the roof and promised an estimate. Weeks went by, then months, with us calling several times with no communication from Dan. The one time he did return our call, he apologized and promised to deliver an estimate “very shortly”. He was highly recommended to us by a family member, so we trusted that it would work out eventually. After several months, we finally got ahold of him and he was again very apologetic and promised to have the estimate done and delivered within 48 hours. Following this, he ceased contact. We tried calling a couple weeks later, to no avail. To this day, we never received an estimate or any further communication. Very disappointed, as we were eager to work with him after hearing such great experiences from our family.

Had storm damage to roof and siding this last July and was excited to use the Roof Dr. as they were highly recommended, local and was told they have their own insurance adjuster. Could not have been more dissapointed with them. It took 2 months for them to get a quote into insurance, Dan had a different understanding of how the insurance worked even after I called and told him multiple times insurance needed a quote for them to go further. Ended up finding out the Roof Dr. does not have their own adjuster which ended up with me dealing with insurance the whole time. The Roof Dr. communication was terrible as well. I also wanted a quote for a roof extension over back patio and they could not give me a quote which resulted in it not being done. Very unfortunate as I told Dan about this in July as well that I wanted it done while roof was being replaced anyway. Ended up they finally got the roof and siding put on mid December after snow had already come- all of 5 months to get storm damage fixed. Totally unacceptable and should have been more prioritized than that. I asked about a price break for the issues and they said no that they replaced window wrapping for free and insurance wouldn’t cover it. What actually happened is insurance approved the full Roof Dr. quote for new roofing and siding, which means that the window wrapping never got quoted if that’s the case. That’s a Roof Dr. mistake for not quoting it and of course won’t get approved at that point. Once the siding and roof work was finally done I will say the quality is good and they seemed to have done a good job, but very frustrating to work with

We had scheduled with them to repair our roof and the morning came for them to arrive and no call and show. I called them and we rescheduled. Due to the weather they canceled twice. Finally we set a day for them to come out and again no call no show.

Good morning Ryan, my name is Dan, I’m the owner of The Roof Dr. LLC. In Allendale MI. I apologize for your experience and the lack of customer service you received, but are you certain this experience was with our company? There is an unaffiliated company in Ferndale MI called The Roof Doctor, is it possible that you were dealing with that company instead? We’ve searched our system and have been unable to locate your information, otherwise I’d be reaching out to you in person to apologize. Dan Hendricks 616-856-ROOF

I’m glad I chose The Roof Doctor to replace our aging roof. I had previously worked with the company when installing bathroom vents during a home renovation, so I was already familiar with the quality of their work. When it became clear the roof needed replacement, I contacted The Roof Doctor for an inspection and estimate. Gayle made the scheduling process easy, and Matt took the time to thoroughly review the proposal, explain the materials, and answer all of my questions. After comparing several quotes, I found the pricing to be competitive, with multiple contractors coming in at a similar range. What set The Roof Doctor apart was the manufacturer-backed GAF Golden Pledge warranty, which provided added confidence that the roof would remain protected for years to come. The installation crew was professional, efficient, and detail-oriented. They addressed areas of deteriorated wood and previous flashing concerns, completed the tear-off and re-roofing process quickly, and left the property clean when the work was finished. I also appreciated their help in securing shingles for my shed, which saved both time and money. Overall, I highly recommend The Roof Doctor to anyone considering roof repairs or a full roof replacement. Their professionalism, workmanship, communication, and warranty support made the entire experience a positive one.

My wife and I couldn't be happier with the service we received from Roof Dr, from start to finish! We have an older home and a leak started upstairs into my daughters closet, panic ensued and insurance wasn't an option because its an older roof. We called around to a handful of companies and got estimates, Roof Dr was one of the only companies who didn't immediately try and sell us an entire new roof (times are tough right now we don't have that kind of money right now) Matt came out for our estimate and was up front and honest, settling our worries as he said its ABSOLUTELY repairable and the roof overall had a couple more years so we can save. Gave me a very reasonable quote! The roofers came out the following week and got right too work, it turned out to be a more complicated job than anticipated and they had to come back to find this pesky leak! They were dilligent and finally found the culprit (after busting their butts the previous time and the 2nd time)! They were generous enough to keep the initial estimate even though they had to come back and use more materials as well and use time out of another day they could have filled with an additional job. I wouldn't choose any other company to work on our roof and will definitely be recommending them to friends and family.

The Roof Dr. was absolutely wonderful to work with, from initial contact inquiring about an estimate, right on through work completion of my siding repairs post-storm damage. The staff are all very genuine, professional, and knowledgeable and never did I feel pressured to make a decision. Without a doubt, I would highly recommend The Roof Dr., Daniel Hendricks and his very qualified staff for your siding project. Zach, David and Freddy were delightful and went above and beyond as they always do!

I had Mike come out to look at a concern I had on my roof. It turns out no work was needed, but he was nice enough to go up on the roof and give me peace of mind anyway. Very honest and great communication. Will be contacting them in the future when I need a roof done!

Had Roof Dr. fix a small roof leak, gutter issue, and a window leak. Appreciate that they were timely and took on small jobs when most contractors we contacted wouldn't even respond or obviously didn't want the business. Will definitely keep this in mind someday when have we need our roof replaced. Would recommend.

Thanks once again to the Roof Dr. Team. David and Freddie worked hard in the summer heat and did an extensive and detailed job repairing some damaged wood along the fascia and soffit. It looks so much better and the hidden bad wood is now removed. Thanks guys for even staying past overtime and missing the start of the Portugal game. Your work ethic is something you both can be proud of. Thank you both once again!

Just had a roof replacement done after our spring storm in West Michigan. Couldn’t have had better service! Their guys did a fantastic job with the install and cleanup after. There was an old trim piece that wasn’t reusable, and they came out the day after install to replace it with a new piece. Appreciate an honest company that delivers what they say they will.
