  Edit: I do understand that we are in Michigan and we get snow and ice and no roofer will cover damage due to that. It’s the fact that you guys “are happy” to give me a quote, to install something that could have been installed to begin with, that I have an issue with. Why, if it could help or maybe not, was it not installed or maybe come up with a plan to block the area. I was already paying over $20k, I would’ve been happy to pay to have anything installed that gave me a good working roof. However, that is not what I got. Even with the issue we had with our 1997 roof, it was not as bad as this 8 month roof. I wish I had a good review like a lot of these people do, because the crew was very nice. However, this has been a very disappointing experience. I’m giving them a 1 star because I have to select something to post. I got a new roof in May/June 2025. The crew was a group of great guys that worked very hard and a very long day. They did not finish the first day but came back early the next day. Unfortunately, a couple of things got missed. The day the roof got finished I had a leak in my dining room and had to have them come out and take care of that. A few days later I had to call them again because they had left a huge gap and birds were building a nest in the soffit. A week later I got a letter from Above Roofing telling me my roof looked old and they would be happy to talk to me about replacing it. Fast forward to the first snow fall of the winter and now I have thousands of dollars worth of damage to my garage because ice built up in a valley of my roof. They have since offered to give a quote to add heat tape to the area. They are brushing me off saying this is not a workmanship issue, not taking accountability for the damage from a leak on a roof that is not even a year old, or even acknowledging that maybe they should have added something that could perhaps have prevented this, but I guess that would be admitting it is a workmanship issu

  Above Roofing replaced a roof on a house on my street early this spring. An employee with a company truck and utility trailer decided to use my neighbors driveway to turn around in. Consequently, he drove through my yard and left a permanent tire marks that’s still there today. I didn’t even use their services and they still disappointed me. Beware if you see them in your neighborhood!!

  Very disappointed with Above Roofing Company and Certainteed warranty that they refuse to honor our contract. We have algae on two areas of shingles that need to be replaced. The warranty is for 15 years and the house was reshingled ten years ago. It’s an area without any trees overhead and a north exposure. They refuse to honor the warranty.

  Not impressed with the outcome. They wrecked my vent to my bathroom (when mushroom cover was secured on roof, it wrecked the duct work and cover) AND my gutters were installed too high by the down spout, now rain water sits in the gutter. Find another roofing company, this is the not the one to use.

  It's either incompetence or they did it on purpose. They left so many nails in my driveway, had them back multiple times just to clean their trash. They didn't even do work near my driveway but there were so many rusted nails under and on top of my RV. Cleaned out my gutters for the season and just found 200-300 more nails in my gutters. The section of roof the fixed is less than 8*20. The gutter only covers one half of that. I don't even understand how this many is possible, it's like they dumped their trash directly into my gutters...which would be why they are now barely hanging on to my roof/siding. All this extra weight from the season and they slowly ripping off my house. I've had it with this company, they already claimed to be out here 3 different times to clean up and I'm still finding nails this long after using them. I've had this company out to fix the same roof leak three times. This last time they left a mess in my driveway which I cleaned up and when I pulled my RV out of my driveway for the season I popped not one but two tires that at the very cheapest cost $150 each. My inside ceiling now needs to be completely removed and replaced when had my roof been fixed properly the first time I wouldn't have any of these issues. I highly do NOT recommend this company. Apparently they never actually fixed it this summer but still fffff charged me for it. A dude on the crew that I befriended said they didn't touch my main roof, just the shed and front porch..why tf this company so incompetent? There is no plumbing in my Michigan ceiling. All to End up using a different roofing company to finally fix the original leak.

  Everything started out well. Quick response with scheduling and picking out what we wanted. We had the facia, soffit, gutters replaced, the roof re-shingled and 2 skylights replaced. Facia & soffit went well. Re-shingling is being done today and it has gone terribly. No respect for our property. Smashed plants, trash littered everywhere, blowing into the neighbors yard. Shingles shoved off from 3 stories up and scraping & denting the siding. Broke a light fixture. Ripped/broke 2 screens. The small dumpster on a lift made a mess of our front lawn. Took out a skylight without informing me and rained debris all over my furniture. (was told at consultation that they would need access to inside to install and protect from any mess) We had to call our contact at Above Roofing. They sent out a supervisor twice but that person never came to the door to talk to me and nothing improved. I’m so disappointed, angry, and frustrated with how this has gone so far. We do have someone coming out to “make it right” but this all could have been avoided with more carefulness and respect for another person’s property! It seemed to me that the job was being hurried along, which resulted in carelessness. I will update with how Above Roofing handles this. *Update* Above Roofing took care of the repairs and the cleaning of all damaged areas. They checked in with us multiple times to make sure we were happy with the fixes & replacements. I thank them for doing this.

  Everything was great other than the creeper that did the actual work. Just wouldn't stop staring at certain things on my body 🙄 Will request a different worker next time. -2020 Roof leak was never fully fixed. The crews got worse over the next year. Lots of property damage due to mishandling my things and leaving so much trash/ roofing nails all over . Still picking them up.

  To be clear we did not go with them but we had quotes for an entire roof replacement and got quotes from 4 very reputable vendors, 2 of which we used before. Quotes for 3 were between 7300-9100 dollars. Above Roofing was 23580. Not sure if the sales guy saw my wife and thought she would not know what is going on but with roofing shingles being exact same for one of our quotes there is no way this is not a ripoff quote. Sure they could do a good job but at that price, that is ridiculous. The fact the sales guy tried to tell us that they have all this new technology in place just made it seem like he thought that was a fair price. For reference, Melvin Belk who we chose and used before has over 400 positive reviews on Angies List came in at 7300.

  We filled out an online form for an estimate, as we bought our home 7 years ago and neighbors speculation was that our roof was at least 12-15 years old. We were contacted the very next day and Erich showed up two days later to do the inspection. After contacting us, he actually showed up 20 minutes early. Parked on the road and asked if it was okay to park in the driveway. ( Of course it was he has huge ladders to put around). The inspection was THOROUGHLY done. He went up on the roof, then he crawled into the attic from the garage in the 90 degrees heat. He ALSO crawled up into a 3X4 hole in the top of our bedroom closet to access the top part of out tri level Attic. Unbelievably that he could get up in there but he did. Then he spent a good 45 minutes showing us pictures of our roof that in his opinion did not need a new roof yet ( has another 5-8 years left in it) what may be potential future problems, explained how to check on them, and gave us options. He was super polite and incredibly professional. We have had other roofs and homes and I have never seen " a roofing guy" who was so professional. It was great actually. So good job above roofing. Thanks for not selling us a roof we didn't need yet.....when we do we'll definitely be calling you back. UPDATE: we did get a new roof in early March of 2026. I would absolutely use above roofing again. They were punctual, professional, and did a perfect job. Exactly what and when they said they would. Thanks guys!

  Above Roofing went above and beyond to get to my insurance claim approved. Thanks to Derek for his persistence in working with my insurance claims adjuster who had a very different opinion of what was storm damage versus wear and tear.. In the end, we got full coverage for our roof! And the roofing team came and did a fabulous job in one day with outstanding cleanup and protection of plants and stuff below the roof edge. Above Roofing is definitely recommended!!!

  We reached out to Above Roofing after the hail storm in March. We wanted a local, reputable company inspecting our home, not the door to door vultures that circled the neighborhood. Jerry came out and inspected everything and walked us through the process. Jose and his crew took great care of protecting our home and yard while they worked and they did a terrific job! It was HOT, they worked late into the evening after encountering unexpected issues, came back early on a Saturday to finish and clean up. Above and beyond!

  The crew showed up on the day, a little late for having to help their last customer. They explained what they would do and how they would do it. The equipment and supplies showed up the day before and we were able to work around them with no difficulty. Done on schedule, gutter crew came next day and all was complete before the holiday weekend. Dumpster was late being picked up, but that is on them, not Above Roofing.

  From the inspection with Marco the estimator to install of the new roof and gutters the whole team did amazing communicating schedule and walking through all steps as well as answering any questions. The office staff for Payments and scheduling were also great to work with.

  Above Roofing sales team and installation crew were a pleasure to work together.   Recently Above Roofing replaced my Roof. It was a great experience. Marco Dejohn came out and helped me through the whole process. He was great. The crew that replaced my roof were wonderful. They did a very excellent and efficient job. They kept my yard cleaned throughout the whole process. They finished it in a minimal amount of time and the roof looks wonderful. I would recommend them to anyone. What a great experience a great job and a great price for a new roof. I would Choose Above roofing over and over again. Thank you for my beautiful roof.

  Ross, Elliot, Alex all did a fantastic job on our sky lights. We previously hired a different company to do our sky lights and it was a disaster. Above roofing came in and fixed all the previous mistakes, installed the windows correctly and stopped the leaking. Thank you for sending us your professionals!
