  We received prompt and courteous service from Alex and his team of professional employees at Green Built in 2023. Alex always explained exactly what we could expect and how long it would take. Very good turn around time when returning phone calls, so when we needed a new roof on our garage and back half of our home, and since we had already had Greenbuilt do the front half of our roof and Alex and his team did such a good job i thought they would treat us well, i was wrong !!! The roof was done very well, but the siding around our slider which Greenbuilt replaced as well is falling down and an Greenbuilt employee that was working on my roof damaged my skylight cover and Mike ( the owner )promised me that they would find another cover and if we had any issues he was just a phone call away. Well needless to say I have called and left many messages and sent many text to have them come back to fix these issues and he will not even call me back. I wish they would just come back and finish the job i paid them for. Not very professional at all !!

  This is a response to Mike the owner concerning his response to our last review. You claim it is not discrimination, okay fine, I can accept that.  But it's something, so what is it? Your company got paid over $24,000 for this job.  Adding two more skylights wouldn't have made any difference to us.  Upon installation Joe insisted that the two skylights in the garage were in great shape and there was no need to replace them.  We didn't refuse to pay for new ones in the garage. The very first rain after install and ever since the roof has been leaking in several locations. You have sent somebody out here multiple times, and every single time is it a different person who makes a plan to get everything fixed and then disappears.  Your company ghosts us for a period of time, and then starts the process all over again.  Are you unaware of what your employees have done and said and promised every time they come out?  Alex was even ordering them AND informed us the company would pay since he could see they were damaged upon installation of the roof.  Now you are telling us we refused on install? Besides that, what about the new skylights you installed that are leaking into the bathtub in both bathrooms since install? What about the chimney leaking into the fireplace since install? I'm not sure what you mean by not getting the results that we are looking for from BBB or through the legal route.  We posted a review with BBB that said exactly the same thing as our review here did.  And we have not filed in court yet. We thought we would reach out to you here, and the only way to get your attention was to post the review here a few days ago because you refused to return our calls.  It worked, because within 30 minutes you had made arrangements to come out on Friday to see for yourself.  So why did you fail to show up? There is absolutely no slander, just facts along with the roof that's been leaking since your company installed it. You haven't personally been here since

  I would not recommend. Administratively a hot mess once the owner got involved. Owner showed up at my house unexpectedly while I had guest and openly started talking about my Contract in front of my guest. It was inappropriate and fishy. I was told I was getting windows and haven't heard a word. I was told I was going to get a 50 year warranty but instead got a 20 year but paid the price for a 50. But I will say the contactactors they hired to install my roof did a great job but I loss money and still waiting on windows they said I was going to get. Again, save yourself from the headaches and save your money and do some research.

  I had hired green built roofing to do my roof, 2 windows, and 2 exterior doors. Back in August there were here the next week to do my roof. It took them 3 months to get my doors installed still don’t have my windows yet. Yes I understand my back door was rotted and I even told Mike that it was rotted and floor need to be replaced when I meet with him, when he came over to my house to write up a contract. I asked them if they had wood they said no well the floor is rotted. There should be no reason not to do something that is on the contract.

  Having this company put our roof on was a huge mistake. Not only was it more expensive than other businesses, but the professionalism quickly disappeared after we signed with the sales guy. They not only destroyed my bushes and flowers in the front of my house (they didn't put down the proper wood and tarps to protect anything), but they also couldn't even communicate with me while they were here working because no one spoke English.. they also ruined 3 screens and it took over 6 months for them to replace them! The worst part though was the HUNDREDS of nails we had to pick up afterwards. I took pictures, had the owner Mike out a few times because he kept promising to make it right .. but nothing was done. I've waited almost 2 years to leave a review because I was so angry I didn't think I could leave anything coherent! So if you're looking for a new roof, DO NOT go through Green Built!!

  Beware of this company. They sold me gable roof vents and never installed them. they called me up telling me the roof was complete. i took a day off work to inspect the job. the job was not finished and they left shingles, ladders, and garbage around the house. took 2 day to have someone clean up the mess. they sent a $2000.00 check for the non-gable vents and it bounced. Worst cexpeirence i have ever had with a company

  We were extremely disappointed in our experience with this company. They never shared a timeline and we had to call often to get the project started, continued, and completed. Then, they had us sign the certificate of completion with glaring errors to their work - the project took them 6 weeks to “complete.” Getting them to redo the work correctly took an additional two weeks of hassling, as well as a call to state agencies to report their poor business practices. We cannot suggest this company and urge you stay stay away from using them for roof replacement.

  Mike and his team did excellent work replacing my old worn out roof. They handled everything start to finish and made the process super easy. The new roof looks amazing and has a much better warranty than any of the other options that I had quoted.

  I requested an onsight quote using the scheduling tool on their website. Took a chance…scheduling after hours on one day for a 11:00 am the next. Boy was I pleasantly surprised when Mike and his son showed up the next morning…EARLY!!! A pleasure to chat with and build trust with. and got my quote later that day. Thanks Mike.

  Im David im a disabled Marine vet. I served from 2007-2011, with 5/10 2nd Mar Div. I live bought a house in Kalamazoo, Mi.i bought my house in 2021 and had no idea how realators can be sheisty until I met the very knowlegable owner. The roof for a vet program is a god send for the military. Having a good roof built to protect the elements. That program is amazing because there are alot of vets tbat either cannot work or are very limited. From what I've seen so far everyone outside the military tries to cut corners when selling property.

  Requested an estimate via email. Green Built Roofing asked a few questions and delivered an estimate and drawing of my home to my email within 2 hours. I work over the road. My wife met with the owner of the company she said he explained the process, covered timeline and she decided Green Built Roofing was the right choice. Very Pleased with the outcome.

  Bill from the DAV referred me to Mike. Mike works with veterans and has been for some time. He set us up with the Habitat for humanity in Holland and they helped us with a new roof and gutters. If you are in need call this guy he makes magic happen.

  I live in Paw Paw, Michigan and served in the United States Army from 2013-2025. The roof for vets program helps those who have served get roofs that they are in need of but cannot purchase. My wife, three children and I had storm damage occur to our roof. This roof replacement from the Roof For Vets team will be a huge weight off of our shoulders and allow us to not have constant worry surrounding the roof of our home. -Kyle Kelly

  These guys are the real deal! After multiple companies bailing on me to get my roof repaired after a tree fell on it, Mike swooped in and saved my sanity! They were here within days to complete my roof and his crew was amazing! They came early and worked until sun down to get the job done. They were professional and friendly and left the worksite cleaner than they found it. I would 100% recommend this company. As a person who generally dislikes contractors, Mike and his crew changed my perspective and I will always recommend them. ETA: 1.5 years after installing our roof we had a terrible ice jam. Not only was M Ike responsive, but he personally came out to my house and had a crew out to clear out the ice the next morning. Mike does what he says and stands by his word.
