  They don’t honor their work. Replaced a flat roof in 2020 and it started leaking few months later. They did a patch work by putting a sealant and a year later it started leaking again, for which they did another patch. I told them from the get go that the roofing material they used was cheap and not good. Now it’s leaking at several spots again since the end of 2023. I called and texted them multiple times but they disregarded my concerns. I had great working relation with this company in the past but they now their customer service has gone down hill and have lost a loyal customer.

  Texas Star explained the process in the beginning and patiently answered all of our questions. The crew showed up on time and efficiently went about their work. They were careful about keeping debris out of the yard and plants. Upon completion, they made sure that the yard was free of nails and trash. We are very happy with the workmanship and the look of the roof. I recommend Texas Star to any homeowner wanting quality work at a fair price.

  Texas Star Roofing installed our roof in 2011 and did an excellent job. We had no problems with the roof for the past 15 years. However this year (2026), Jay Williamson (Texas Star Roofing) did an inspection and found granules were missing from shingles all over the roof. Based on his recommendation, we filed a warranty claim with the shingle manufacturer. With Jay's invaluable assistance in providing information to the shingle manufacturer, we received approval of our warranty claim. Texas Star Roofing just installed our new roof and again did an excellent job. Everyone at Texas Star Roofing is professional, courtesy, and go above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you Jay and Texas Star Roofing!!

  We had to replace an older, leaking roof & were working with a tight turn-around time. Lee's communication with us, his honesty & his impeccable service made the process so easy! He is very knowledgeable & worked seamlessly with our insurance company, providing us with a beautiful, upgraded roof & new skylights. We couldn't be more pleased.

  I could not be more impressed with any type of company, especially a roofing company. I found this company probably 15-20 years ago. I research up and down before I ever make the first phone call. The first roof they put on for me was many years ago. They did excellent work, they are professional and ethical. Aaron is by here making sure his crews are doing what they should be doing a few times a day. Aaron keeps you updated at all times. The roof we had a storm on was on 3,25,25. I called Aaron at 8:00 am on 3.26.25. He was out here by 9:30. I had holes in my roof among other damage. We have been fighting with our insurance agency from March 2025 until January 2026. Aaron has put in probably 30 hours or more with details, pictures, and rewritten the estimate many times for the insurance. Most would not do this. My new roof is now on as of February 2026. They do any kind of roofing such as shingles, TEK stone coated steel, this is what I did this time, metal roofs which I partially have on my porches now. It looks beautiful and I didn’t worry about it once because I knew Aaron and Texas Star would take care of everything. For me to say I truthfully didn’t worry when workers were here to do something on my house is a miracle. If you have read this far please if you need a new roof, hire this company so you don’t have problems along the way or after they get their check. You will not be sorry!

  We have been customers of Texas Star Roofing in Plano for years. Their customer service and quick response to any concerns have been amazing. About two years after we had our roof replaced by them, our new insurance asked for something to show when the roof was replaced and the type of shingles we had, I had emailed paperwork within minutes from them. I highly recommend them and we'll be customers for life. Thank you Texas Star Roofing!

In McKinney, your roof's age matters less than which McKinney you live in. Near the historic downtown square, roofs sit on some of the oldest housing in the city, where materials and rooflines need careful matching instead of a standard replacement.
