They did a new roof in 2020 and the dormer side has leaked in the winter ever since. they sent out their inspectors from Story and claim everything‘s installed properly. However, this year I had enough of this nonsense and have had two independent contractors in here one of them an Owens Corning preferred roofing co., they both claim the dormer side has been improperly installed with many flaws, causing leaks and drywall damage! In all fairness, they did the dormer side of the roof in the fall and the rest of the house the next spring. The original crew they had replaced admitting they took too many shortcuts. The completed roof by the second crew does not leak so go figure.

Hi there, thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear you’re still experiencing issues with your roof. As you may recall, our team originally stepped in after a prior contractor left you with serious concerns—and we were glad to help correct their work where possible. We’ve visited the property multiple times over the years and have consistently provided recommendations, including professional guidance on preventing ice damming, which continues to be the source of the seasonal leaks. It's important to note that the structural challenges and roof design from the original installation—completed before our involvement—are contributing to the recurring ice-related issues. As we discussed previously, your Owens Corning roofing system comes with a warranty that may offer further support, and we recommend reaching out to them for assistance as well. Also, just to clarify, this review appears to have been posted under our Florida location, though the work was completed in Northern Michigan. We want to ensure your comments are properly reflected in the right place, so others in your area can benefit from accurate context. We’ve appreciated the opportunity to support you and will always do our best to provide honest, professional service. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you'd like to revisit any of the prior recommendations or have questions about next steps. - The Story Roofing Company Team

I recently hired Story Roofing to rebuild my upper deck and stair railings after they sustained hurricane damage. I cannot say enough about this company, especially the supervisor, Paul DeBeer, who coordinated my repair job! From the initial inspection and estimate, Paul was responsive, professional, and courteous. He listened to me and helped me make choices that fit my needs. Paul frequently stopped by to oversee the work in progress. He continued to keep in contact with me throughout every step of the repair, ensuring that I was happy with the work being completed. Paul went over and above to rebuild a staircase railing when I changed my mind about a wood stain color. This showed how deeply he cared about making sure that I was totally happy with the job. My new deck and stair railings are awesome!! The craftsmanship is high quality and my deck now looks like a showcase. The entire staff at Story Roofing were wonderful to work with. I highly recommend Story Roofing for your next deck railing project!!

While they are very people, you need to be aware of their pricing policy. They give you an estimate but after the work is completed, they send you an estimate in which it states that if you pay by credit card, you may have to pay …

Thank you for your feedback and for acknowledging the quality and timeliness of our work — we truly appreciate it. We do want to clarify that our credit card processing fee is not intended to be deceptive in any way. This fee is outlined clearly in our agreement, which is provided and reviewed with all customers prior to services being rendered. The additional charge applies only to credit card payments, and we always strive to be transparent about this policy so our customers can choose their preferred method of payment with that information in mind. We appreciate your business and your honest feedback. We’ll continue to work hard to provide excellent service while being upfront about our pricing and policies. If you have any further questions or concerns, we’re happy to discuss them with you directly. Thank you again for choosing Story Roofing SWFL.
