  REVIEW UPDATE: BEWARE! They are preying on Hurricane Helene victims in Western NC and East TN. They will intentionally damage your property and/or home before your insurance company comes out in order to guarantee a damage claim so that they can make money off of what they intentionally damaged. The down side is, if your insurance company doesn't cover the damage or denies the claim for some reason, you are stuck with the expensive burden of having to pay out of pocket for what storm guard damaged. This is what happened to me and, it was all caught on video... One of their employees intentionally damaged my roof a few weeks after Helene, in hopes of scoring a quick $12,000 payday. Recently, I was looking something up on my security cameras and I noticed in one of the videos that the storm guard employee was on the roof arguing with the adjuster that FEMA sent out. As I continued to scroll through the videos, I noticed the employee was on the roof by himself with a claw hammer quickly ripping up shingles about an hour before the insurance company adjuster arrived. The insurance adjuster saw the pictures that the FEMA adjuster had taken just 3 days prior. The adjuster immediately noticed that the roof had more damage than it did 3 days ago which caused a big problem. When I discovered what the employee had done I immediately contacted the owner of storm guard in Johnson City. He apologized and said that he would get the issue taken care of as soon as possible but, I never heard back from him. So the only option I had after that was to contact my insurance company, my lawyer and law enforcement because what storm guard did to me, my roof and to my insurance company is illegal!

  ****UPDATE......It has been 8+ weeks since contact was made with this homeowner requesting the footage of the alleged damages caused. It has not been provided. We will begin working with Google in an attempt to remove this review unless further evidence can be provided as it appears to be unfounded. *****Update - We have made contact with this customer and we have requested the footage so that we can investigate the issues at hand. It's been over a week and we have followed up multiple times requsting the footage she referenced and have yet to be provided with it. We stand ready to make things right, but need cooperation in order to do so. ***Update - We have been attempting to reach this homeowner multiple times each week since we have been made aware of this issue but we have not been able to connect with them. Hello there! We noticed your review was updated from 5-stars to 1-star. We have tried to call you a few times from our office and we've not been able to connect with you to resolve your concerns. What you're describing certainly is not how we help our homeowners. We want to help you and we'd like to get to the bottom of this, please return our calls at 828-610-5559 or 423-393-6000.

  Beware of this company!!!! They sold me a great product and did not deliver and now they are trying to steal the insurance money that I paid them for a roof that they never installed. Please be careful and don’t make the same mistake I did. No company should be able to treat people like this!!!

  Company worker harassed me with two visits after telling him I wasn't interested the first time. Was very disrespectful . Seemed very suspicious with the second visit after telling him no originally

  Don’t use this company! They seemed very reputable with a polished presentation, and were very responsive until we wrote them a $9,000 check. Then they just “disappeared”. It’s been over 6 months since we wrote the check and no action whatsoever. No responses to calls, texts, I called the main office in Arden, NC and while they assured me that they were a legitimate business and that I would hear back from them the next week. We never received a return call and nothing happened. I really believe that this company is just a front. I’ve informed our insurance agency and am following up with my lawyer. Hopefully they’ll be removed from the Farm Bureau’s approved vendors list.

  Mike was awesome! We had a leaky gutter and he went out of his way to fit us in his busy schedule. He did not pressure us in any way and he was straightforward about our issue. He let us know what caused the leak and took care of it. I could not recommend Mike more for any roofing/gutter needs you might have!!

  Had a hang tag left on my door from Sam after 6 PM. Called and he was there the next morning. He helped guide me through the insurance process and kept in touch with me for the roof. He always answered and replied when I needed assistant. I would recommend Sam and his team for anyone who needs a roof.

  Mathew stopped by and did a great job looking at our roof. We had another company that had stopped by and said they seen nothing. Mathew found enough to turn in on insurance. He is a vet that likes to help other vets. So far I am very pleased.

  Storm Guard, Johnathan Brown and the men who replaced my roof. They removed 2 dormers and replaced some bad plywood. Used the plywood from the dormers to make the repairs. When the team was finished they picked up all the debris and nails. …

  We contacted Storm Guard, one of 3 roofing companies I called for a quote. 2 were disappointing but Mike Austin from Storm Guard arrived and gave a very professional presentation complete with pictures and what would be involved, as well as, what could be involved as our roof replacement progressed. We were impressed with the his level of knowledge. Going with Storm Guard was the right decision. The roofing crew worked from dawn to dusk for 2 days. It was clear they knew what they were doing. We were very happy with the care they took to protect our property. Upon completing our roof, all evidence of ground debris, tools, pallets and all work materials were removed. I would say, they left our property looking better than when they started. We could not be more pleased with the work from beginning to the end. They did a beautiful job with our full roof replacement. Mike Austin was friendly, professional and so easy to work with. There were no issues to overcome. He successfully worked with our insurance company and our adjuster spoke highly of him. I highly recommend Storm Guard.
