  Update: I would never recommend this company to any one I know. My experience with St Louis Roofing and Siding has been the worst experience I've had with any home contractor.

  We offer all customers a price match guarantee, if it's apples to apples & we're shown a copy of our competitors bid. We were less then the competitors' total price. We inform our customers the work will be installed in a professional manner and the appearance of aluminum soffit provides a nicer look then vinyl. Especially when the house has large overhangs. Our contracts list an estimated time to complete the job with weather permitting. Yours was 2-3 weeks. The work started in late November after Thanksgiving. Once a customer's contract is complete, we offer payment options using cash, check or any major credit card. Any unforeseen work that may arise during a job is brought to the homeowner's attention & discussed. When a customer requests additional work be added to their contract or there's unforeseen work needed , we add an amendment to the existing contract and have both parties sign off on the costs. When we do a do-over or replace a part or section of the house we feel doesn't meet our expectations, we inform the homeowner there's no charge. The bird boxes and left side of the soffit/fascia were no charge. We try our best to respond in a timely manner to all customer inquiries. Due to Covid you may have to wait a few days longer then normal.

  We hired St. Louis Roofing & Siding to install vinyl siding, several windows/patio doors, gutters, and wrap the wood fascia and porch columns in 2014. The owner, Frank, is very pleasant and reasonable. The quality of the siding product and windows/doors for our project were very good and worth the value. However, the sub-contractors used for our project had poor quality workmanship. This required multiple revisits to our home to correct mistakes or sloppy installation and an extended project timeline. The workers also did not take care of our property leaving a mess behind after they left. We also had some misunderstanding about what the work would consist of for wrapping wood features and a few other aspects of the overall project. This could have been avoided if Frank had been more thorough in explaining how the project would be done upfront. Frank did work with us and the sub-contractors to fix mistakes, which we appreciated. We give a 2 of 5 star rating for the siding and windows/door products, but because of the experience working with this company and poor quality for the rest of the job we would not give them a recommendation.

  Thank goodness that our downtown Kirkwood 6-unit condo building chose Josh’s and Amy’s St. Louis Roofing and Siding! Besides their VERY reasonable bid on our 73,000 sq. ft. roof, they gave a highly detailed work expectation to us personally AND in writing. The 2 other bids did not. What was quoted to us stayed on target! Josh and Amy were meticulously informative and always upfront from the very beginning to the end. They were always immediately available. Amazing people skills!! Amy used her “Certified Drone Inspection” license and her “Fortified Certification” advanced roofing knowledge….THAT along with Josh’s life-long industry expertise is what secured our faith that this project with THIS company was the right thing to do!

  I cannot say enough good things about Josh Vandevender and his company. As a senior woman taking on a total exterior remodel of my home myself, I had a great deal of anxiety about choosing the right contractor. From the beginning, Josh made the process much easier and gave me confidence that I had made the right choice. One of the things that impressed me most was his diligence with my insurance claim. I had a previous claim where the insurance company had refused to pay for a new roof, saying there was no damage. Josh didn’t just accept the answer. He continued to pursue the matter and ultimately proved that the original inspector was wrong, resulting in the insurance company agreeing to pay 100% of the cost of my new roof. That level of persistence and dedication really stood out to me. Josh was always in communication with me throughout the project. He kept me informed, answered my questions, and made sure I understood what was happening every step of the way. He also made sure I had samples of all the new materials, which was extremely important to me because I was making so many decisions. The quality of work, the materials, and the attention to detail have been excellent. Most importantly, I felt that Josh genuinely cared about getting everything right-not just getting the job done. Taking on such a large exterior remodel could have been too overwhelming but having someone I could trust made a tremendous difference. I am extremely happy with the results and would highly recommend Josh and his company to anyone looking for a roofing and siding contractor!
