Asphalt shingles are the most familiar roofing material on homes around Lusby, MD, and there are practical reasons they stay common. For anyone looking at options for the first time, it helps to know what the material is generally known for: •Versatility, since asphalt suits a wide range of house styles and roof shapes •Design variety, with a broad selection of colors and profiles to choose from •Straightforward maintenance compared with some of the other systems available Asphalt is one of several materials used on homes in the area, alongside metal and slate. Which one suits a particular house comes down to the structure, the condition of the roof it is going onto, and what the owner wants the finished result to look like.Aug 14, 2026Learn more
