  I had my roof replaced by SmartRoof in 2019, and it began failing within the first two years. Shingles repeatedly fell off, indicating an ongoing installation problem rather than a one-time issue. These problems started while the warranty was still active, yet once the five-year coverage expired, SmartRoof refused to stand behind their workmanship. Instead of addressing the defects, they walked away from the situation. Before doing so, SmartRoof provided a quote of $9,000 to repair a small section of the same roof they had installed less than seven years earlier. I ultimately hired an independent contractor who completed the repair correctly for $750 in under a week. SmartRoof does not stand behind its work. With recurring failures, inflated repair quotes, and a lack of accountability, I cannot recommend this company. In short, save yourself the hassle and choose a more reputable roofing contractor.

  Just spoke with Rene Vega from Warranty Department and was not satisfied with his response to my request. We had our roof replaced in October 2020 and noticed some water damage in one of our spare bedrooms and made contact with Smartroof Warranty Department in 2023 and they sent out a representative that verbally stated the damage was not related to their work, it was previous water from “old” roof. Smartroof never provided us with this report and didn’t provide any information about how the warranty expired after 2 years on workmanship. Today, Rene informed me that was just a “ courtesy visit” and that since this expired years ago that now it would cost $500.00 for a service visit plus repair. I asked to speak to his supervisor Thomas Wells, Vice-President of Production and awaiting that response. We have another contractor that informed us that he could see daylight around a roof vent and recommended that we reach out to the roof company reference warranty claim! We would not recommend Smartroof !!! Poor customer service and terrible warranty service! Do not waste your money with Smartroof! We even paid for upgraded shingles!

  Door to door salesmen are relentless and don’t take no for an answer. Totally ignore no soliciting signs and acknowledge that they deliberately ignore the signs. Might be an ok roofing company but need to evaluate how they are doing they aggressive unwanted door to door sales.

  They took my neighbors money - $30,000. Then told him it would take a year to replace his roof. Then they stopped talking him.

  The same individual has come to my house not once but twice and blatantly lied about how long a roof is expected to last, which he insists is exactly eight years. I don't particularly care if sales person comes by but to have the same person come twice and then lied is over the top

  Two sides to this experience: 1. Salesman up front was excellent. He did an amazing, detailed job of discovering and documenting all the damage to our roof. 2. Contract lead on site with us seriously bate and switched on us regarding terms of the loan and insurance covered portions that cost us thousands. When I requested consideration and attempted to return to what was promised, the SmartRoof office literally laughed at me. At that point, it was clear they are a marketing firm with a quantity goal over captured client relations. 3. Team on site was local 100% Latinos. As we speak Spanish fluently, we received enlightening feedback on how much they cost vs what we paid. I understand commercial retail markup well but the SmartRoof markup is abuse. Like Credit card interest rate abusive. 4. The Latinos did an excellent job. Hard workers, attention to detail but missed a critical spot. Major point. When I too pictures and made a point, I was placate bit delayed. When one pays $80,000 one expects a micron level attention to detail and absolutely complete work. Not to be placate, delayed and a list of excuses. I just want it fixed. After several months, the finishing work was completed. Again, the work is excellent. Management and corporate culture are pit of touch with client and do not represent well what is advertised. I would have been better off by far working with a local company. SmartRoof premium charges for name brand at the expense of any value to the client. I cannot give a positive referral and will not suggest anyone I know use the company.

  While they did a great job replacing my roof in 2023, I have been unable to get any to answer the phone or return my calls. I have been unable to reach contacts at the company using numbers I had in emails. I serious believe they are no longer in business.

  I have used Smart Roof twice, once to install my GAF solar shingles and re-roof the house, and once to add a Franklin whole home system (battery backup). I have been very pleased with the communication, installation, and final product. Would recommend them in a heartbeat!

  Great experience! The Smart Roof team, especially Eamon, was responsive, informative, and did great work. They performed a full roof replacement, replaced gutters and attic insulation, and worked closely with my insurance to ensure as much of the work as possible would be covered.

  Christopher Krombach and his team were awesome. SmartRoof is a great company to have your roof replaced. They replaced ours in August 2025. Hopefully we don't have to worry about the roof for long, long time.

  SmartRoof's name says it all. It was the SMARTEST decision I ever made to purchase my ROOF from them. The company is up to date with technology, from providing a customer portal with the project information, ACH ability for payments, to providing their employees cell phones for the ability to call, text and email. I can't say enough about Eamon, my Roofing Consultant and Dominic, my Project Manager. Eamon started off my project making my choices in roofing materials easy and very understandable. He explained the entire process in detail and assured me he was available throughout the project if I needed anything. At SmartRoof Eamon runs the specialized team handling new initiatives and referrals with partners. Knowing this about his position at SmartRoof, he still exceeded my expectations by providing excellent support throughout my project, and with his assistance and attentiveness with my unusual roofing circumstances. Dominic was an outstanding Project Manager. He provided all of the details of each day of my project via email. He too was available by text, email and phone. The onsite crews were extremely professional, extremely respectful of my property and did high quality work. Their attention to detail and daily cleanup was outstanding. During the project, both Eamon and Dominic were onsite to inspect the progress and ensure that I was satisfied with the progress and provide me the ability to ask questions about my project in person if I had any. For anyone reading this review, if you are looking for a no pressure, excellent communication and easily managed roofing project, SmartRoof is the only decision you need to make. Make sure to ask for Eamon, I highly recommended him.

  Had an excellent experience with SmartRoof from start to finish. Eamon Lupien was the rep we worked with and he was terrific assessing the roof, guiding us through the insurance claim process, walking through our options, and answering all questions. He was in touch throughout entire time.
