  Poor communication and non-responsive. They like to pressure customers to sign contracts that work only in their favor and simply stop responding when you question the language they contain. Extremely unprofessional and seems predatory. Responding to owner’s reply: NO my issues had nothing to do with my color selection but it had EVERYTHING to do with the predatory language in your agreement and your attempt to waive any and all liability of damage that your company could cause on someone’s property. You realized quickly that you couldn’t play those games with me because I’m a real estate professional. I found a contractor that communicated, professionally, clearly and was extremely accountable. My review and subsequent replies will be screenshot and shared across all social media platforms to protect the general public from shady contractors like this. Good luck to you.

  Thank you for your feedback Mrs. Thompson, sorry for our lack of communication at the end, but after a few months of back-and-forth emails between you and the office, we realize we are not the siding company that you needed, hence we didn't want to move forward with this project. We never pressure customers to sign, the reason was material availability for the color you wanted. Thank you again for your input and good luck with your projects.

  Wow. I wanted a quote from this company based on the reviews. After playing phone tag for 3 weeks with scheduling, someone finally came out to inspect my siding. My job was simple enough: replace the gutters and 2 feet of siding at the base of my home. I asked about Chimney repairs and replacing caps on the roof. I was told that the company didn't do that. I asked about holes underneath the gutters and was told it didn't need repairs. I mean obvious water damage from the gutters not being cleaned out. While at my home, the contractor asked about how much my home cost because it's in a "good area." I followed up for two weeks for a quote. To replace 2 feet of siding at the back of my home and gutters, $9500!! Clearly, I was quoted based on the price of my home, not the job. I met with other contractors, and the price this company quoted me obviously shady and DISHONEST. For this price I could have had my ENTIRE home replaced with upgraded siding, gutters and Chimney caps replaced! AVOID!

  Laine, thank you for your input. Honesty, integrity and transparency it’s our priority. We apologize for taking a long time to get to your property to meet with you for an estimate. We had other appointments being re-scheduled in front of yours. Making small talk about price of houses in the area seems to be a trending topic everywhere I go, but we will never price out a job based on location, status, etc. never, ever, period. Sorry you felt that way. The estimate was based entirely in the conversation we had at the property and the notes I took. Seems there are some items that were left out on your review: Line 1 of the estimate: Demolition of the back deck (not mentioned on your review) Line 2,3 & 4 of the estimate: Remove and replace the siding on the specified areas by homeowner, install house wrap, install the siding in the same areas, labor and materials. (The specified areas where: whole wall under the deck, plus pieces needed where the deck was going to be removed and the whole siding of the chimney (not only 2 feet of siding) This is the part that made the estimate go high: you wanted a price to install brick on the back of the house. Line 5 of the estimate: concrete footing for the brick (digging, concrete, re bar, pouring) not mentioned on your review. Line 6 of the estimate: install brick on the whole back of the house, about 2 feet. Right below the windows. (Bricks, ties, felt, mortar, weeps, installation, rowlock, clean up) not mentioned on your review. The quote Includes dumpster, plus the price for the gutters and downspouts We hope this information clears any confusion. We wish you the best with your project and future ones.

  We had a General Contractor attempt to do our stone work and it was not great. JC and team came in and made it look beautiful. They were always on time, communicative, and easy to work with. Will definitely use them again!

  My experience with Smart Choice Construction was amazing. From the moment Gerry came to our home for an consultation I knew I was going to use his business. Gerry is very through with explaining the process of new roofing. The crew that was sent out was amazing as well. I appreciated that there were enough repairmen to fix the roof and clean up at the same! They also helped my husband change out light bulbs in our chandler that is 2 stories high. 😊 From start to finish the process was done effortlessly and I truly appreciate that. Also pricing was reasonable, my husband and I never felt like this company was ever trying to over price us and we had been shopping around for at least 6-8 months. Thank you so much for the outstanding job that was done. Many blessings to your company and crew members❣️
