Roots to Roof was very professional and did excellent work cleaning out the old insulation in our attic, completing mold remediation, and adding new insulation. After Roots to Roof removed the old insulation and remediated the mold, the attic was incredibly clean — it felt fresh, spotless, and completely transformed. One thing that really stood out was that Roots to Roof noticed some incorrect wiring while they were working. There was nothing in the contract or statement of work requiring them to do anything related to wiring, so it would have been easy for them to ignore it and continue with the job. Instead, Roots to Roof pointed it out and helped me get an electrician out the next day to fix it. That delayed their schedule by a day, but they took on that extra burden to make sure the job was done safely and correctly. I really appreciated their professionalism, attention to detail, and willingness to go above and beyond. I would definitely recommend Roots to Roof.

Roots to Roof helped remediate mold in my attic, identifying an extra area in the attic and making sure everything was dealt with so I would not have any issues going forward. They made sure I knew what they were doing and why and were very fast and efficient. Very happy with their work!

Matthew has been an absolute blessing. My partner and I have been in a nightmare crisis with a corporate builder, deceptive service providers, and an enigma that has left our 2020 townhouse as uninhabitable. We needed reassurance and …

I had a leak and water damage in my sunroom, a wall of glass, that needed repair. Well that's what I thought was the only issue. Matthew with Roots to Roof came highly recommended and I'm so fortunate they did. Once they opened up the repair area, we found more damage. Matthew was very honest and professional as to my options as well as to my budget, and still doing it right. The project was done in a timely manner and the team worked tirelessly each day. I've worked with other contractors in the past and was not treated fairly. Matthew was upfront, open, honest and professional from the start, rare traits these days. I will highly recommend Matthew and Root to Roof to family, friends and anyone looking for a contractor. 100 percent satisfaction guaranteed. Thank you Matthew and your team for making my project a success and for all your exceptional workmanship.

The crew at Roots to Roof were exactly who we needed to work on our house. They approached our project with a whole house perspective and were able to resolve the problem we've been dealing with for for years where other companies had failed. They cleaned up well, showed up when they said they would, communicated clearly, and did very high quality work. Thank you Matt and team!

We had an excellent experience working with Matt C. at Roots To Roof. He was very straightforward, didn’t try to oversell us, and explained in detail with photos, why he wasn’t recommending complete removal and replacement of all our existing existing insulation, noting that most of it was still in good condition and only needed to be raised up to current depth standards. We asked about and talked through many options that he could have tried to upsell us on. RTR was recommended by our selected roofing company (Rainier Roofing) as they coordinate in a lot of projects together; potentially saving time by being able to do their work simultaneously while the roof is open. RTR was also patient and understanding when we encountered some banking issues that was holding up our final payment. I highly recommend Roots to Roof.

Matthew and team were a pleasure to work with. They responded quick and gave a fair bid to fix the leak in our upstairs bathtub. I could tell the repair was difficult, but Matthew did a great job and we are very satisfied with the work.

When you’ve lived through a major flood, you need people in your corner to help you get your world back in order. Matt and his team were exactly that for us. They were kind, responsive, and did excellent work. They cleaned out our crawlspace thoroughly and made sure mold never had a chance to develop. We were incredibly lucky they were able to jump in so quickly. A great team for whatever you need💙

I’ve rarely seen the level of thoughtful craftsmanship that Matthew and his team brought to our deck project. Our project became unexpectedly complicated when we discovered the issues left behind by previous DIY work, but Matthew handled those challenges with incredible patience and clear communication throughout. What sets them apart is their meticulous attention to detail and clever problem-solving. For example, when our decking material didn't come in a narrow enough size for the handrails, Matthew had the idea to rip the boards down and used a router to finish the edges, creating a perfect custom effect that matched the rest of the deck. They clearly understand the technical side of the materials. They accounted for the friction and movement that happens as PVC expands and contracts. By using the right fastening techniques against the underlying frame, they ensured the boards won’t warp or tear themselves apart over time. They even extended the framing to the edge of the boards to hide the underside of the structure, giving the whole project a much cleaner, professional finish. Additionally, they handled additional flashing work on our siding and walked through our home inspection report to see what else they could address. Everything was entirely thought through, and I couldn't be happier with the result.

Matt was always responsive, and did a really clean job for my crawlspace that was not done right by someone else the first time. He showed up with his crew on time and if I hadn't known he had been working on the area I wouldn't have been able to tell the difference after the paint and everything was done. Highly recommend!
