Mr. Land, Thank you for your feedback, even though I don’t agree. It’s odd your name does not show in my system as anyone we have ever serviced and I couldn’t help but notice you have only ever left 1 review and it’s this one. Almost seems like a fake review intended to smear a local company’s reputation just to solicit a crap review service to scrub bad reviews at $5,000 a pop. . I could go on with how I have no respect for people who smear others and don’t even use their services but I don’t have time for fake people. Please remove your review and find something productive to do in society, like picking gum off the bottom of cafeteria tables or sweeping the streets.

I normally don’t leave reviews, but I feel people deserve to know what they’re walking into. When this company finished work on my home, they pressured me to leave a 5-star Google review in exchange for a discount on my insurance deductible. I was uncomfortable with it for obvious reasons that Roof Medic doesn’t seem to care much about. The work itself was sloppy and subpar — not what you’d expect from professionals. Corners were cut, communication was poor, and the cleanup was careless. Looking back, the glowing reviews I read before hiring them make a lot more sense now… they weren’t genuine. I’m choosing to remain anonymous and waited months to post this because, like other reviewers have mentioned, the owner comes across as aggressive and unpredictable. I just hope this helps other homeowners avoid the stress and disappointment I went through.

Dear Anonymous, I am always grateful for any genuine feedback from our customers. It is difficult for me to take this as serious as it deserves due to the fact that “we do not commit insurance fraud” and that is exactly what this review explicitly states. I would continue to request that you send any information you are willing to contact@roofmedic.com (while remaining anonymous if you wish) to name who your project manager was and who your sales rep was as well as identifying the individual that stated we would offer any assistance on your deductible for a 5 star review. I don’t fully understand why this serious issue would not have been raised the moment it occurred with our management, as it likely would have lead to termination for breaking company statutes. I will end with this, it is quite funny that we receive such poor reviews from anonymous unprovable sources that are seemingly indefensible hours and days apart from the heavy solicitation we receive from the companies that try to grief us into paying them $3000-$4000 a pop to remove negative reviews. It’s like we are being gifted crap non specific reviews to encourage us to hire a company to remove said crap reviews from anonymous people. I encourage all customers to listen to their heart and their gut when it comes to hiring their contractor.

Have never interacted with Roof Medic before, but they did seem to think it was okay to advertise in my front lawn without ever asking permission or communicating in the slightest. I have to imagine it would be a risk to deal with them on a professional level if privacy and permission aren't major concerns to them as a business.
Reply from the business
Mr. Fierke, Thank you for leaving the feedback. Privacy and permission are huge for the Roof Medic team, and I can absolutely promise you that Roof Medic does not place marketing material in people yards without permission, let alone someone we did not work for. We did have a few of our team travel the 40 minutes north to the hail storm that affected the Greensboro area to let the community know that Roof Medic existed and that we could help. This strategy was focused on flyering the lower mailboxes and placing lawn signs in targeted intersections. If one of those intersections was connected to your yard, we apologize for the inconvenience and misunderstanding and will gladly remove or pickup the sign in question. Please accept our apology and allow us to correct any mistake that was made.

We cannot recommend this company due to poor communication and unprofessional behavior. One staff member referred to the Dilworth area as “the hood,” and our project manager, Chris, repeatedly provided inaccurate start dates, offering “hopeful” timelines instead of realistic ones. We received conflicting information from supervisors, leading to significant delays. Chris and Emma assured us they could negotiate a full roof replacement, but after months of wasted time and “outdated practices” (per our insurance company), the insurance company clarified the situation directly with Chris, allowing progress to resume. Scheduling issues continued, with a promised date in December. We were almost delayed another month due to unavailable shingles. This was frustrating, especially since Chris confirmed our new shingles would be delivered before the start date that we were originally on the schedule. Somehow, we were removed from the schedule entirely and expected to wait another month for our roof replacement. After voicing our complaint to Chris he didn’t fix the problem. I called to speak to a supervisor who got us rescheduled in a more reasonable timeframe. After the roof was completed, we discovered a missing gutter section. Despite multiple follow-ups, the production manager failed to show up as scheduled. Chris misleadingly asserted the gutter issue had already been addressed until he found the notes to back up my claim about the gutter issue. The only positive experience was with the roofing team, who completed the job promptly once they arrived.

HR Thank you for leaving the detailed response. It’s is extremely unfortunate that your experience was less then ideal, however unbeknownst to you we were switching over crms and support applications that did make it difficult for a small period of time to maintain 100% overview of your project. Also your insurance company wasn’t super easy to work with and didn’t make getting your roof fully approved easy at all. In the end we stand behind our work, however we do apologize for any inconveniences we caused. We hope your roof is still serving you well.

I had a roof leak 2 weeks ago. I called My insurance company and than call Roof Medic to come out and inspect my roof which cost $99 which I agreed to pay. After the inspection I was told the boot on the vent pipe was leaking which caused the leak. I asked if they can tarp it until the adjuster comes out and he said yes, $350 for a 4x4 tarp. I asked if that is reinburse if they get the job and I was told no. I talked to the Manager Nate and he said because we had so many calls that day, that is what they were charging. So people please be aware Roof Medic changes the prices to fit the day. To me, it is a little like price gouging. For a company that advertises Veteran Own, look what they did to a Veteran. So sir I would like to clarify. 1. Roof Medic came to my house a year and half ago and Karston was great. He tried his hardest to get it covered. This the reason I called Roof Medic and no one esle. 2. I asked Julian if he would come back when the adjuster came back and he said yes if he was free. Again I thought I would get excellent service like before but not. 3. I call the office to complain and she told me she would have the manager call me. Nate call me and I explained to him my concerns. He than proceeded to tell me because of Helene, that they where super busy and that is what they are charging because how busy they were, because of Helene. So sir, I did not misunderstand and your man did imply that. Yes, also thank you for your service also.
Reply from the business
Mr. Wise, I know this to be a misunderstanding. Yes we charge a $99 fee for any leak inspections to ensure we preserve enough time to properly locate the potential point of entry and ensure our estimate offers a solution to your issue. Yes we also have tarping fees that start at $350, however we Typocialy run a few days or week out so anyone who places their trust in us to solve their problem we offer complimentary tarping services to hold them over until we can get boots on their roof. In your case, you were pursuing an insurance claim and were not moving forward with our estimate meaning the charge for the tarping service was incurred on the front end. This is a completely standard fee that your insurance company would pay you back for and would only pay for if you incurred the cost. It is dishonorable for anyone to take advantage of anyone in need ever but to insinuate that we are targeting victims of hurricane helene and needlessly charging them or misleading them is equally deplorable and completely inaccurate. I was not present at your inspection but I trained everyone on my team to the same standards I hold myself too and although Nate is our newest recruit, he has proven to be an honorable human being. I can only imagine that there was a gross misunderstanding or something was lost in translation between you two. We do not have floating prices and no one gets to decide what to charge, we have set prices. We will gladly waive this fee if you decide to move forward with us, which it sounds like you might not want to, however please have peace of mind that this tarping service is a reasonable cost that is standard and should be covered under your claim. All that is required is to show your insurance company your invoice and they will add it to your claim summary. In closing I would love the opportunity to serve you by helping with your roofing issues and would gladly come out personally to ensure you receive the service you deserve. From one vet to another,

DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THIS COMPANY BEFORE GETTING AN ESTIMATE FOR THE WORK!! I take some of the blame (Busy working and their commercial said they deal with your insurance company) I felt uncomfortable from the start. I figure 5 stars ok let’s give them a try. Now I know…. AI can generate reviews for companies. Anyhow, I dealt with Michael, I should have known when I had to keep calling him and he would remember nothing from previous conversations. I would continually ask for a price to do the job without going through insurance and he would not give a price instead he convinced me to go with insurance. Long story short Roof medic and my insurance came out and did an inspection, insurance approved half a roof and told me you picked that company. And they were right so after waiting months for Roof Medic to try and get more money for my claim which the insurance company wasn’t budging, I called Charlotte’s Best Roofing and Restoration. He (Sterling) came out while I was at work , emailed me an estimate which was almost $10,000 less than Roof Medic’s estimate to my insurance company. They asked what I wanted and even told me to go look at the different ones to see what I like .We discussed every step. Whereas Roof Medic wasn’t returning my calls, didn’t ask what type of shingles or colors or anything pertaining to the job. So I went with Sterling and Charlotte’s Best Roofing and Restoration. I got an entire new roof with the Architectural shingles of my choice, replaced all the rotted fascia boards and upgraded all my gutters and downspouts. Whereas Roof Medic wanted to put on the same old 3 tab shingles that where on the roof for the past 20 years for more money, even though they were cheaper than the architectural shingles. Now Michael is calling and threatening to put a lien on my property or send the bill to collections. Like I told him send me a break down of the cost you feel you are out (I still came out thousands of dollars less once I p

Mrs. Craven, Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback. It should be noted here that most of what you have stated is grossly inaccurate and much is just plain lies. There is a reason that this review stands alone and is an outlier of our typical feedback and why after looking at other reviews you have left, you really like bullying small companies with 1 star threats. Nonetheless, I am grateful for the opportunity to clarify the type of roofers we are. You contacted us with a roofing issue and we scheduled a complimentary inspection to ascertain your needs. We did encourage you to file a claim after discovering storm damage on your roof. When we assist homeowners with this process we request a commitment from the customer that states we will provide our “time, knowledge and resources” to your case to pursue you receiving proper coverage for your roof. We were successful on all fronts. You were cced on all correspondence, you were never left in the dark. It was a red flag when you started requesting things be bid out as we clearly outlined up front in our commitment letter to you that we were not going to negotiate what our price would be after the insurance agreed, we would simply build it for what they priced it for, as long as we hit code minimum and agreed on the scope. They left a considerable amount of things off including a fair profit that any licensed company would demand. It is clearly outlined in our agreement that we would request reasonable profit and overhead from your insurance company for the scope they wrote, which included 5+ trades, however it was apparent that you were not pursuing quality work, just money in your pocket. After performing everything we said we would successfully, you decided to go with another roofer because they were cheaper as they had no time, people or trips committed to getting you approved. You were fully educated on the document you signed and as a grown adult should hold yourself accountable to your commitments.

Ben, Thank you for bringing any safety or driving etiquette issues to our attention. Safety is a huge focus at roof medic both on and off the roof. However this is likely as simple as one of the team making a mistake and being caught in Charlotte traffic/construction and realizing they were in the wrong lane. We will review further internally and continue to hold ourselves to the high standards we are known for. It would be massively appreciated if this review could be removed or updated so it doesn’t detour our community from the belief that we are fully committed to serve them and our neighbors safely!

I had a new roof installed by Roof Medic in May 2024. They did a fantastic job and I am very satisfied with the result. Recently, I purchased a new microwave and found that it wasn’t venting properly. We discovered the vent was not connected properly in my attic. Jordon from Roof Medic came over to the house and fixed the problem for free even though I am sure this issue had nothing to do with their installation. Thanks again to Jordon at Roof Medic.

Nathan was very thorough in explaining everything. He was able to understand our wants and needs for the roof. He is a very personable and respectful person. The crew did a wonderful job on the installation and did a great job of cleaning up afterwards. The only problem was they filled my recycle can with all kinds of yard debris and I have contacted Roof Medic by phone, text and email and have been promised 3 different times they would come out. It has now been three weeks and no one has showed up yet to take care of this problem.

Out of 5 companies’ estimates, Nate @ Roof Medic stood out from the rest with an exceptionally detailed “on roof” and “in attic” inspection, explanation of analysis, and answers all my questions. Nate’s knowledge of the material and product is first class and makes you feel like you could sell roofs at the end of the meeting. The staff overall has been extremely communicative with any other questions or concerns moving forward.

Roof Medic and Nathan were super helpful in picking the perfect roof for my house. I ended up choosing a metal roof. The roofer who installed it has 16 years of experience with metal roofs. He was really detail-oriented, treating my home like it was his own. I definitely recommend Roof Medic for their excellent work.

The roof over my garage and attic started leaking from a bad rain storm. Nate with Roof Medics was able to quickly diagnose the problem and had someone out here within a few days to fix it and redo the flashing that was improperly installed by another company during the previous owners time in our house. Roof has not leaked since. Definitely will use this company for any future roofing needs.
