  My experience with RL Roofing was unfortunately far below expectations. What was promised to be a straightforward installation ended up being delayed by almost 9 months without consistent communication or meaningful updates. Reaching someone for answers often felt like chasing shadows, and when contact was made, responses lacked clarity and urgency. The owner was gone and dark for 3 months in Florida in that time if that paints a picture. Despite the inconvenience and significant time lost, there was no proactive effort to offer any compensation, discount, or even a sincere apology for the delays. At the very least, I expected some gesture of accountability for the lack of service and communication throughout this process. The owner, Rich, was flippant and dismissive in all communication, and his immediate response to a request to discuss a discount was to sue for full payment. The overall experience was awful, and I have never worked with a company this difficult and unprofessional. I would encourage others to ask very specific questions about timelines, and get that in writing on a contract with specific dates, and confirm follow-up processes before any commitment to work with this company.

  My Company acted in good faith, fairly and transparently. In July 2024, Mary contacted our office and provided the address of the property where she wanted work done, along with her contact details. As part of our standard procedure we sent an estimator to the address she provided. We did not meet with her in person. As not all of our customers live in the area full time; it is not unusual. We confirmed the address in a follow-up message and included it on our estimate and contract. Mary approved the quote for gutter installation and paid the deposit, moving forward with the project at the address listed. Once the work was completed at the specified location we sent the final invoice. It was at that time we were informed that the gutters had been installed on the neighbors home, due to the fact that we were given the wrong address initially. Throughout the entire process, we had no indication that Mary had provided us with an incorrect address. Despite this, and given our commitment to exceptional service and our strong reputation in the Long Beach community, we refunded Mary's deposit in full. She has cashed the check that we provided as a refund. While our company ultimately took a financial loss on this project, we acted fairly and transparently, EVEN though the error ORIGINATED from the customer providing us with the WRONG address. Apparently, Mary feels no accountability.

  I scheduled an on-site quote for a roof replacement and they never bothered to show up or even call to cancel/reschedule the appointment. Unprofessional. Will not be pursuing an estimate from them.

  I apologize for the delay. We have been backed up from all the rain we have been having. You had said that we did the work originally for a previous owner of your home. We have no record of this so I believe you have the wrong company. We still planned on coming out anyways to help you out even though we did not do the original roof but we do have many estimates in front of yours with all the rain and storms we have been having. I apologize again for the delay. We are doing the best we can.

  RL Roofing did perfect roof replacements for us on 2 different houses in Southwest Michigan. Rich is a 4th generation roofer for this family owned business. Not only was the final product very well done, but the crew was very professional and went above and beyond. Francisco was our crew chief for both of our roofs and, during an unexpected rainfall, he and his crew quickly covered the roof and sky lights with a tarp to prevent water from coming in the house. On the second roof, Francisco came back on a Saturday afternoon to complete one final roofing detail. When you call RL Roofing, Kristen will answer the phone and she is also very professional and helpful. I feel so fortunate that I hired them. I don’t post Google reviews very often, but I felt compelled in this case because of their excellent work.

  We are completely satisfied with our roof replacement. Everything from start to finish was smooth and stress free. The job was done very quickly. The crew worked very carefully and cleaned up afterwards. There wasn't a single nail anywhere. They were so impressive with their quality. The day they came, a crew member even greeted us as we returned home. They were excellent!! We are so grateful to them and to everyone involved from start to finish. I would definitely recommend RL Roofing!! Our experience was above and beyond what we had anticipated. Thanks again!!

  RL Roofing completed a roof in a timely manner fixing all of the areas that needed repairing before a new roof installation. Crew cleaned up area around the house well. Excellent customer service from setting up the contract to answering all our questions prior to repair. Great follow up with company upon completion!

  I had a great experience in a recent roofing project. Richard was very knowledgeable and very responsive to any questions or additions to the work being done. I would absolutely use this company again for future projects. Very happy with the quality of work.

  Highly recommend RL Roofing! Very responsive to communications and very quick with getting work completed. They cleaned up every scrap of material - couldn't even tell they had been there. Work was done beautifully! The price was extremely reasonable. Will definitely call them again for future needs.
