We had Pisgah do a entire roof less than 5 years ago, so it's been a bit of a hassle since the new roof began leaking so bad, we now have mold, water damage in the house (ceiling) and when they finally did come to fix it, they used mismatched shingles. So, our new roof looks like a nasty patch job, but it apparently doesn't matter to JACK whom we've been trying to get back, and finish restoration on their mess. I wrote another review about the issues trying to get someone out to fix the major leaks.... it took that to get any answers or cooperation in this matter, I trusted you Jack and deleted that review.... But, now here we are again... we've been trying for weeks to get Pisgah (Jack) to make this right. Nothing. This company has shown us, we absolutely do NOT matter. You've been paid, so we're of no consequence to you apparently. Rest assured with the $$$$$ spent on this new roof, I will not let this go! If we already have had such major leaks in a new roof, I shutter to think of it in 10 more years. I would NOT recommend Pisgah at this point to do a shed. I really do miss the days of honest people in business, where their word meant something.

These guys sucked. Said they could put in skylights even though we showed concerns about the truss layout. They cut holes in our ceiling and roof only to find it wouldn't work. Took sun tube option to fix but the installers had never installed before. Ended up with 2 sutures instead of skylights, which didn't even provide light. Bunch of rookies. Then they threatened to put a lien on us if we didn't pay a rediculous upcharge. Only settled for less because we had email proof his guys were clowns.

I hired Pisgah Roofing to replace 2 roofs. I sent my 50% deposit for both properties. At the 1st job they told me I needed to pay thousands of dollars more AFTER they tore off the roof! The same thing happened at the 2nd job. I requested numerous times to speawith the owner. I received a text that the owner will not speak to me and they are going to lein my properties. No way to conduct business. They lowball the estimate to get the job and then charge extra. I will be hiring an attorney to deal with them. Very unprofessional. I have done 25+ roof jobs in the past and this is the worst experience.

David, our contract clearly outlines the process for unforeseen damages discovered during roof tear-off, including how those repairs are priced and approved. This language is standard in the roofing industry and was agreed to prior to the start of work on both properties. In both cases, additional issues were uncovered only after removal of the existing roofing materials—conditions that could not have been identified during an initial inspection. These items were brought to your attention by our project manager, David, and verbal authorization was received before proceeding. We do not perform additional work without approval. As reflected in the many reviews referencing David’s honesty and transparency, communication was clear and documented throughout the projects. The work performed was necessary to restore the properties to safe, functional, and livable standards. Completing those repairs was the moral and ethical course of action for both the occupants and the integrity of the structures. When approved work is completed and payment is withheld, filing a lien is a legal remedy outlined in our contract and permitted under state law. We stand by our workmanship, our process, and our commitment to ethical roofing practices. For property owners and contractors alike, we strongly encourage maintaining properties responsibly, approving necessary repairs when uncovered, and honoring contractual agreements once work has been completed. I cannot in good conscience recommend this company. I hired them to work on my house after some damage from Helene and initially felt confident after a friendly first meeting where they clearly explained options and pricing. Unfortunately, the follow-through fell far short of expectations. From the beginning, communication was inconsistent. After weeks of silence and an initial assurance that work would “start soon,” I never received a definite start date. When I finally called to check in, I was told they would be there the next day or the following Monday if I recall correctly, which was frustrating given the weeks of no contact. If I had not called, the crew would have just shown up unannounced without confirming that the day worked for me, and that set the tone for the rest of the project. I paid 50 percent of the quoted price in advance, but the initial work was sloppy, incomplete, and caused more damage than what they were hired to fix. I held back the remaining 50 percent until they corrected the issues but mainly because they never even followed through with a request for payment. I was frustrated and uncertain how to proceed because I was not sure I wanted such a poor crew on my house again, and I intended to address it when asked for the remaining payment. They never even sent an invoice for the balance until five months later. When I did receive the invoice and asked for them to fix the issues I got the usual “our warranty period is over” response until I sent photos of the damage. I was told the case would be taken care of by another crew and was connected with a seemingly attentive gentleman who proceeded to constantly miss deadlines. The first missed deadline was due to rain, which was obvious to me, no roofers work on a rainy day. I sat there wondering when they might call, knowing they were not coming but did not intend to waste my breath calling to ask when they could reschedule. No call came. When I did hear from them it was a surprise: one day a

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're genuinely sorry to hear that your experience did not meet the standards we set for ourselves, and we regret that aspects of the project caused you frustration. First and foremost, we’d like to sincerely apologize for the communication issues and scheduling delays you experienced. These are not representative of the level of service we aim to provide, and we fully understand how difficult it can be to deal with inconsistent follow-up especially when your home is in need of repair after a damaging event like Hurricane Helene. That said, we feel it’s important to offer a bit of context from our side. After major weather events, our crews often face a sharp increase in emergency repairs and insurance-related projects, which can place strain on scheduling despite our best efforts. While this is not an excuse, it is a factor we constantly work to improve around, particularly in terms of proactive communication, which we clearly fell short on in your case. We appreciate your recognition of the final repair crew’s professionalism, attention to detail, and the fact that all repairs were completed at no additional cost to you. Our warranty process is in place to protect both clients and the company, but in your situation, we extended services beyond that period because we believed it was the right thing to do. Regarding the initial workmanship and debris left behind, we acknowledge this was not acceptable. When those issues were brought to our attention, we took corrective action, and we’re glad to hear that the final outcome met your expectations in terms of quality. We’re truly sorry that the road to resolution was so frustrating. While we're pleased that the final repairs were completed properly and at no added cost to you, we recognize that our communication and follow-through should have been stronger from the outset. Your experience has been shared with our operations team to ensure that clear communicatio

Very frustrated with my experience working with this company. I was promised a lot from the representative who initially started working with me, like that Pisgah would be there for me every step of the way, and that they would be in communication with my insurance should anything else need to be fixed beyond what the insurance company quoted for damage. Instead communication has been a nightmare and the company refused to work with insurance like they promised. Throughout the process, no one seemed to know what was going on. I get that the company was busy due to Helene, but they should have had better communication. I had to communicate multiple times what needed to be fixed. The finished product, a standing seam roof, while (hopefully) it is waterproof, is very unsightly. The corners and edges are rough and jagged with metal sticking out. The bolts are spaced unevenly. The job was sloppily done. They kindly came back out and fixed some spots with a paint marker and repaired some structural damage to the framing (which was damaged by the roofers), but ultimately I am disappointed with the quality of the job. I wish I had hired a different roofer.

Kelsey, thank you for taking the time to share your honest feedback. While we’re disappointed to hear about your experience, we truly appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention. We have taken your comments seriously and have reviewed them internally. As a result, we’ve made changes to our processes, communication standards, and team oversight to ensure clearer expectations, stronger coordination, and a better overall customer experience moving forward especially during high-demand periods like storm response. We understand how frustrating poor communication can be, and that is not the level of service we aim to provide. While we’re glad, our team was able to return to address several of the concerns you raised, we regret that the final outcome did not meet your expectations. Thank you again for your candid feedback. It has helped us identify areas for improvement, and we are committed to raising the standard on every project going forward. We are here to assist if you have any issues moving forward. EDIT: I originally submitted a review based on ONE employee who assisted us and I wanted to give him a 5 star review (see further below). However the company as a whole, I cannot in good conscience recommend them. It has been a very frustrating experience from the beginning. There have been so many delays and many mistakes made. Our home and family have been completely mishandled. This company does not care. We have waited (and are still waiting for very basic construction job on our home to be complete nearly 10 months after Helene). We have been so patient and understanding during this unprecedented times and still have been treated so poorly by this company. Please do your research and go with someone else. We are currently working with this company after Hurricane Helene. There has been a lot of work in progress we are dealing with bc of the storm. Specifically, tonight though, John came over at the end of his day to fix our door which was not closing/locking properly. As our main point of entry, this helped us feel so safe and secure that he came over same day!! John was professional and clearly an expert. We appreciate him so much!

Exercise caution when considering Pisgah Roofing & Restoration, particularly for insurance-related repairs. While the quality of their actual work was good, their project management and communication were severely lacking. After a pipe burst caused damage to our home in January 2024, we contracted with Pisgah for repairs. Be aware that they require you to sign an exclusive contract before beginning insurance negotiations. What followed was a 10-month ordeal marked by: -Five months just to finalize the initial estimate, while our home continued to suffer water damage -Multiple unanswered calls and emails -A four-month delay between paying the 50% deposit and work beginning -Incomplete work followed by payment demands -Final repairs completed only after extensive follow-up The construction crews were professional and their workmanship was solid. However, the company's poor communication, disorganization, and apparent lack of urgency made this a frustrating experience. Had we not been bound by contract, we would have sought services elsewhere. Note: I later discovered previous reviews describing similar experiences with extensively delayed work after deposits were paid. Consider this carefully before signing their binding contract. Furthermore the only moments when Pisgah was taking the initiative to reach out to us was when they were owed money. At no other point during the entire project did they make attempts to call or contact us in anyway. TLDR: communication and project mgmt was abhorrent and basically non-existent. Project took 9 months to finish despite being a small home repair.

Acquired some storm damage to the roof of my house, enough to need the entire surface replaced according to my insurance representative. Was able to get on the schedule just a couple days out for job estimation. Their cost aligned almost exactly to what my insurance was willing to cover, so I knew it was fair. They even included replacing the whirly-bird exhaust vents with a more preferable ridge vent. The entire process was super smooth and well communicated from start to finish. The only hiccup was the materials supply truck (separate company) got in a wreck, delaying our delivery by just one day. John and his crew were on site early in preparation for an afternoon rain shower. He and his crew were very professional and worked efficiently. They found and replaced a few sheets of decking due to rot, per my approval at a very reasonable added cost. Only took John and his crew a few hours to replace the entire roof. Very pleased with the overall experience, definitely recommending Pisgah to anyone who needs roofing work.

Anastasia was incredibly punctual, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. I have worked with a lot of companies, and she was by far one of the best I’ve ever had come out to provide a quote and not do some scripted sales pitch. Her honesty and transparency about my roof along with her ability to have a long discussion with me about things I was questioning, made me feel very confident in the decisions I was making. Highly recommend Anastasia for any roofing quotes or questions you may have. 5 stars all around!!

I would give 10 stars if I could. From the beginning Anastasia walked us thru the process and explained everything in great detail. Once everything was scheduled John was our contact on the job site. HE IS AMAZING! Johns communication was great each step of the way. We had major issues with our roof and John would send me pictures to approve before they did any work. Everything that was recommended we needed to have done. Billy and his crew also came out to do work on our dormers, they were very efficient and did great work. I have already referred several of our friends and neighbors to Pisgah Roofing. You will NOT be disappointed!

After heavy rain, roof damage is not always obvious from the ground. Missing shingles, lifted flashing, clogged gutters, or small leaks can go unnoticed until they cause interior water damage. A professional roof inspection can help homeowners catch issues early. Pisgah Roofing & Restoration inspects residential roofing systems across Asheville/Western NC and the Tri-Cities TN area to check for storm damage, leaks, aging materials, and repair needs. If your home has recently been through heavy rain or high winds, now is a smart time to have your roof checked.
