Compared a couple options over Rolling Meadows before going with NorthCrest for a full replacement. They did the complete tear off and installed a new one, and it looks solid now. Good to have it done properly.

New rook on our two story and looks so much better than what we had. Shingle lines are even , The chimney and skylight flashing is tucked in tight, no gaps , or weird bumps anywhere up there

Northcrest replaced our roof last month and we have zero complaints. The estimate process was straightforward, no high pressure sales pitch, and the price was within a few hundred dollars of two other quotes we got. Install was quick, cleanup was thorough, new roof looks great.

Full roof replacement done by NorthCrest. Had been looking at a few companies around palatine and these guys gave a solid quote. The new shingles look great nice uniform color and everything sits flush along the Ridgeline. Drainage seems way better now too. Happy with how it turned out!

full tear off and new roof, went with a darker shingle than what was on there before. the install covered the whole house plus the detached garage which was its own project basically. ridge vent looks clean and the valleys are all metal now …

Cedar shake roofing has a character that asphalt shingles simply cannot duplicate, but that natural appearance comes with different maintenance needs. Cedar is an organic material, which means moisture, airflow, and debris have a much greater impact on its condition. When leaves, branches, or other debris remain on the roof, they can trap moisture against the wood and prevent it from drying properly. Over time, this can contribute to deterioration and shorten the life of the shakes. Proper airflow is equally important because cedar needs opportunities to dry after rain and humid weather. Our roofing contractors inspect cedar shake roofs differently from standard asphalt systems, paying close attention to moisture exposure, ventilation, damaged shakes, and areas where debris collects. Cedar roofing can provide lasting performance and distinctive curb appeal, but it requires care suited to the material.
