Had Nordine come out on June 8th for an estimate on door installation. Nordine came, went and we haven’t heard a word, email, text or peep from them since. Very unprofessional in my estimation. They will ghost you and not even give you the courtesy of informing you that they don’t want your business…

I’m sorry to hear your comments. I spoke with our salesperson, and she stated that she phoned you to request more specifics on the measurement and placement of the attic door and had not heard back from you. With that being said, an estimate has been sent and we are now waiting on a response to the estimate. We hope to hear back from you soon.

The quote I received was astronomically higher than every other contractor I spoke with. I’m not talking about a small difference!! It was thousands of dollars higher than competing bids for the same project. I normally don’t leave negative reviews, but I felt this experience was worth sharing. What bothered me most was during the estimate we were repeatedly asked about our jobs and financial situation before any pricing was presented. At the time, the questions seemed very odd and unrelated to the actual scope of work. Once the quote was finally provided, it came in thousands of dollars higher than every competing bid we received for the same project. The representative also commented that they would “give us time to save up” and appeared to be watching for our reaction. Most homeowners are going to connect those dots, bad sales tactics. Whether that was their intention or not, I left with the impression that the quote was influenced more by what they believed we could afford than by the actual scope of work. My advice to anyone considering this company : get multiple quotes. Do not rely on a single estimate. If I had not compared bids, I could have assumed this was the normal cost of the project when it absolutely was not. This is not how projects should be quoted. Also, if you’re getting estimates, be careful about volunteering financial information, even if they ask. They don’t need this information to give you a quote. Ask them why they’re asking? In my experience, it may affect how some companies approach pricing. Shop around, compare bids, and make contractors compete for your business. Would not recommend based on our interaction during the estimate process. Left a bad taste in my mouth.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We take reviews like yours very seriously, as we pride ourselves on transparency and integrity. We want to assure you that our pricing is strictly based on the specific scope of work, high-quality materials, and the experienced labor required for each project – never on a client’s personal financial situation. Our team often asks questions about a project’s budget or timeline simply to ensure we are recommending the right materials and solutions for your goals. We apologize if these questions felt invasive or gave you the wrong impression, as that was absolutely not our intent. We completely agree with your advice to shop around and get multiple quotes; homeowners should always feel confident in their investment. While we may not always be the lowest bid, our rates reflect the comprehensive warranties, licensed expertise, and premium service we bring to every job. We would welcome the opportunity to discuss your estimate further and see if there was a misunderstanding in the scope we quoted. Please feel free to reach out to our office directly.

I haven’t worked with them but I just called at 5:12pm to see about getting information on a home build. The guy said “well we close at 5pm.” I told him “I’m sorry, I can call back during regular business hours, I was not aware.” He said “no I just wanted to let you know. Uhh what were you calling about again?” And I explained that we are looking to get an estimate on a home build and starting that process. He said “we don’t even do that.” I let him know that it’s listed on Google that home building is offered in the services but thank you for letting me know and then he said ok bye. I hate leaving bad reviews but I also know companies can’t grow if they are not made aware of how they come off. I felt dismissed and just don’t want that to happen to the next person.

Jordan, we apologize this happened, this is not the normal customer experience that we strive for. There seems to have been some miscommunication on our end. We are happy to revisit this with you if you are still interested.

If I could give ZERO stars I would. Don't waste your time. We called them about 1 large bath room full remodel including floors and all, 1 small bathroom 1/2 remodel and a laundry room (adding cabinets and new flooring). The women in charge of estimates came out within a week and seemed very detailed. NEVER heard back from her. I have called 6 times in the past THREE months and talked to various humans each time asking for a status on our estimate. They all apologize profusely and say she is so busy and is the only one who does estimates and ensure me they will have her call back. She has never called me back and never sent an estimate. Huge waste of 3 months. I can't believe she refuses to even call back.

They have on their website all these towns listed such as Pekin, Creve Coure, and they are located in Bloomington, but they fail to mention on their site that when you call them to schedule they won't deal with you unless it's a big job. Don't waste your time with calling them for an estimate, because they'll cut you short and make sure you feel like your beneath them.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I was given a timeline on when to expect them to contact me and was completely blown off multiple times. Was treated like we were ignorant in the whole process. Decided to remodel my bathroom myself instead, apparently they didn't want my business.

Bought a new home and had some work to be done so immediately contacted Nordines as we'd had good experiences in the past. Made sure to be clear at the time that we needed people to be masked in our home, due to having multiple immunocompromised family members. Person that came out to look it over and provide a quote was nice, but incredibly flaky. How flaky? Well we bought the home at the end of last year, and we only just got the final info on the quote in mid-june. But contractor's, right? But it gets worse. They absolutely refused to have their workers wear masks in our home while the work was being done. On what would be a week long set of projects, while we work from home. Either one of these alone would be bad enough, but combined it means we were asked to wait around for six months to just be told to put our lives in danger for the comfort of their workers. Completely unreasonable and disrespectful, and I cannot stress how much this has cost us in time and energy. Maybe you don't care about masking, but if they refuse to even make as small a concession as that for incredibly patient customers, ask yourself what kind of respect they'll have for your simple requests. I must, in the most stringent terms, recommend you not waste your time here.

We recently had Nordine's Remodeling replace the roof on my parents' home, and the entire experience was outstanding. The old roof had two layers of aging asphalt shingles that were long overdue for replacement. Casey and his team removed both layers, inspected the existing roof decking, installed new synthetic underlayment and ice and water shield, and completed the project with Landmark Pro architectural shingles. They also installed new attic vents, replaced flashing around vent stacks, and added a new gutter guard system. From start to finish, Casey and his crew were courteous, professional, and attentive to detail. Communication was excellent throughout the project, and they were always responsive to any questions we had. The job site was kept clean and organized, with thorough cleanup performed at the end of every day. Most importantly, the work was completed within the timeframe promised and the finished product looks fantastic. We've also used Nordine's Remodeling for siding and window projects in the past, and our experience has always been positive. We would not hesitate to hire them again and highly recommend Casey and his team to anyone looking for quality craftsmanship and excellent customer service.

Nordine's remodeled our master bath and it was a wonderful experience. Communication was excellent every step of the way. From the time we met with Casey to discuss the estimate, until the entire job was complete, Casey stopped by or checked in via text regularly to ensure all questions were answered. Equally important was the stellar craftsmanship by the team. Mike, in particular, did a fantastic job. In addition to overseeing the day to day work, he installed all of the tile which included floor to ceiling in the shower, a gorgeous niche and seat, a surround for the tub and flooring for the entire room. His work was meticulous and the finished product is simply gorgeous. We highly recommend Nordine Remodeling for quality work.
