  Just watched 2 white men in a Carlson Truck and uniforms yell racial slurs at a black man at the Road Ranger gas station near the market view exit in Champaign. They also threatened him. Idk the whole context but yelling racial slurs definitely wasn't warranted. I'm a white man for reference and that was terrible behavior.

  If you're looking for someone to contact you in a timely manner, look elsewhere. Calling for a quote, gave info and got told they would have someone call. Took 24 hours to get someone to call back TO SET UP A TIME, not to show up. Ridiculous. Then when he finally did call he made assumptions about the property without even coming out. Be careful who you give money to.

  Buckle up this is a long one. Initially we thought we were going with the right company. Their quote was in the middle compared to 3 other companies we had do quotes. This turned into a total nightmare. We had them do siding, window trim, soffet, and seamless gutters. They subcontracted out their work to CC Exteriors from up by Chicago. They drank on the job, sat around on our patio set, urinated off the scaffolding into our yard, and ate our fruit off our trees. The contract we signed stated they would clean up their mess as in Carlson's would clean it up. It's about a year later and no sign of clean up. Nails still all over in our landscaping. During the work we had nails, sharp aluminum trim pieces, and soffet in our pool. We discovered a hole in our pool liner from their mistakes. We did get reimbursement on the liner but it was still a disappointment in a company that we thought we could trust to do it right. Our pool heater was also dented from the lack of respect of our home and things. When all this was going on we were unable to park in our garage due to the amount of nails in our driveway. At one point CC exteriors boss was there to check up on his men not affiliated with Carlson's and nails were jokingly being thrown down to him for no reason what so ever. When the house wrap was going on they left a significant gap between the windows and the house wrap which is a no no. Water can get behind the siding and ruin your home with wrap not up to the windows and taped off. We called and they had them remove their previous work and wrap around the windows the correct way. Next up, our window screens were cut up by the carelessness of materials being thrown down. We still to this day haven't gotten them fixed from Carlson's as they stated they would come up and get them. We had a camera damaged from the work and they did give a reimbursement for it. Once again another issue that could've been avoided with a little more respect for a customer. The only great work

  I had Carlson come out to quote some repair work along with fixing some things that were initially done incorrectly on the house when built. After the quote I found out that Carlson was the one who originally did the work on my house (7 years old, 2nd owner). I went back and asked Nick if he thought the items that were originally incorrect should have been done differently. His answer was "we wouldn't do it that way." When I informed him that his company was the one that initially did the work, and asked him to stand behind it, he fell back on his 1 year warranty and was unwilling to correct his work. So if you want work that is admittedly not to their own expectations, go to Carlsons!

  We recently had new shingles and gutters installed by Carlson Exteriors, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. From start to finish, the customer service was excellent. Nick our Project Manager, guided us through the entire process, answered all of our questions, and kept us informed every step of the way. The installatioin crews were professional, efficient, and did a great job. The work was completed in a timely manner, and the quality of the finished product exceeded our expections. Many positive comments from our neighbors. We highly recommend Carlson Exteriors to anyone looking for roofing or gutter work and appreciate the outstanding service provided by Nick and the entire team.

  We recently had our roof, some gutters, and downspouts replaced by Carlson Exteriors, and I can’t say enough good things about the experience. About 3–4 years ago, we had some shingles blow off during a storm. After searching online for a reputable local company, I found Carlson Exteriors. They responded quickly, came out promptly, and repaired the damage professionally. When it happened again about a year later, I knew our roof was eventually going to need replacement. Since our house was built in 2005, we were getting close to the expected lifespan of the roof anyway. After a hailstorm came through the area last year, many homes in our neighborhood were getting new roofs. I reached back out to Carlson, and while there was some hail damage, the roof was old enough that there really wasn’t much opportunity for an insurance claim. I appreciated the honesty and straightforward communication. Jason provided us a quote, and we planned to move forward this spring. When I contacted him again, he came out within about 10 days to review everything with me and kept the same price he had quoted last year. We also decided to update some gutters and downspouts and replace a few exhaust fan vents to better protect against birds and animals. Originally, we were planning for the work to happen in June, but Jason called and asked if they could move us up and start just a few days later. It actually worked out perfectly. The entire experience was excellent from start to finish. Everyone who came to the house was professional, courteous, and hardworking. The roofing crew cleaned everything up meticulously — honestly, it looked like nobody had even been there once they finished. The dumpster was dropped off Friday morning and picked up by Monday morning, and the entire process was smooth and efficient.   Joe was great and came up with a solution to my issue at a fair price. The communication with the office to schedule the job was immediate and professional. The technician that showed up did an outstanding job. I am a perfectionist so it is not easy to please me but I believe when someone does an outstanding job it should be commended. If I could give more than 5 stars I certainly would. I will not waste my time in the future calling anyone else for exterior work! From start to finish it was an excellent experience.

  We were pleasantly surprised to see a large crew show up. They were able to totally complete our roof in one day! The amazing crew worked well as a team, kept the debris cleaned up throughout the day, and showed respect not only for our property but also for our neighbors. We were more than pleased with how smoothly the project went. We are 100% happy with Carlson Exteriors - start to finish. Based on our experience, we enthusiastically recommend them to everyone!

  The crew that did the roof did a fantastic job. They were very detailed and protected the exterior of the house. They spend their time picking up nails and screws in the yard landscape and other places. The crew that did my gutters also did a great job. I would highly recommend them.

  We had Carlson replace our garage door, upgrade our porch columns, gutters, soffits, fascia and side our house. They were very professional. They completed the project in a timely manner and returned our phone calls promptly. Our crew supervisor had many good suggestions and ask for our input every step of the way. Already have them scheduled to replace our roof next year. Great to work with! Couldn't be happier!

  These guys are all about maximizing profit. Cheap, thin siding materials and poor quality installation. They sub out the labor to guys that do it cheap. Any materials left over they only give a little credit and I bet they re-sell it to make more money. No communication, you don't know when they're going to show and you can't talk to the guys that actually do the work. Management sits in the office and rolls in the money. Fortunately more and more people know about them and how they roll - they are on their way to being out of business.
