  My elderly mother had damage that required the replacement of half of her roof that is over an addition to the main house. The insurance company would only cover the cost of the replacement of the side of the roof that was damaged. Muth came out and drew diagrams and took notes and said they would be in touch with an estimate. They never provided an estimate - never called - nothing. My mother reached out to them and they said they weren't going to do the job.

  Muth & Company put a new roof on my house and refuses to fix the problems they caused. They cut gaps in the decking at the peak, realized their mistake, and then just covered the gaps with shingles without replacing the wood they cut out. …

  I understand your frustrations with home maintenance, but we did try and address all these concerns and explain in depth and in writing. Your attic and intake were already installed and not part of our roof.

  Overall, the tech was very nice, but I’m a bit concerned that I received a 22k estimate to replace a roof on a 1600 square foot ranch home. That seems incredibly high and I received much more reasonable estimates from reputable companies. I usually don’t leave reviews but it’s very defeating that companies continue to quote outrageous prices.

  I built a brand new garage during covid and had Muth out to give me an estimate. The garage was under construction at the time so i gave the sales person the plan which had the scale on the bottom. He gave me an estimate which beat the lowest estimate by $ 500 ish. During covid everything was over priced so we were pinching where we could. Signed the contract and the day that they came out - they realized that the salesperson read the scale wrong and didnt price out enough materials. $2000 later they ended up being the highest bid. Would they have gotten the job? NO. Was it bait and switch? Doubt it - it was an honest mistake probably, maybe - but the salesman was supposed to take it back to the office to have conversation - not sure he ever did because he knew he messed up but instead game back and bullied until we paid. I will never use this company again. I make a point to share my story all the time. In fact I recently was sent an email by the company as a solicitation and even then - never got a response back. I make a mistake in my world - i own it. I expect companies to do the same. Or at least make it more acceptable.

  After reviewing this job from 2021, I remember when we did this contract, it was based off a set of blueprints. Your project dimensions were clearly marked on the prints. When we began roofing the job we noticed we were not going to have enough products. After field measuring the job, it was discovered the building was larger than the blueprints showed. I recall we discussed this with you, that our new construction policy is, we bid based on the blueprints but reserve the right to charge for material and labor if the dimensions change. Your project did become larger once built. After we discussed this, it was agreed to do an addendum for cost only, which was an additional $945, which covered the additional materials necessary to complete the work. I am sorry you feel this way but at the time it was an amicable solution that we agreed on. We always strive to do the best job possible for our clients and are truly sorry you feel this way.

  The gutter job was a mess. The owner had to come out and you can tell he was saying what he had to to save face. After gutters were installed i had more leaks than before. They came out multiple times and it was annoying. I would not use them at all ever again they destroyed things and had to comeback to make repairs after the owner tried to strong talk me and it failed. What a joke. Lol your reply

  2 years ago we completed a gutter replacement for Mr. Nichols. Following the jobs, there were some complications and we did send out our owner Chad Muth, additionally, we tried to address the water issues Nichols was having by installing splash guards and gutter flashing among a few other small adjustments. Following this service Nichols gave us a great review which we responded to a year ago (see above), we were unaware that he was unhappy until his review was changed 3 days ago. We always try and make right by our customers and we would love to help him under warranty if he would reach out to our office directly.

  I contacted Muth Roofing for an estimate to install 4 skylights. They missed the appointment so I called and was told that it was a computer error and they would have someone come out. They did, it was probably 5 mins of talking and then I was told that I would receive an email with the estimate by the morning. They never sent it. It seems like they just don't have it together. I guess they didn't want my business.

  Hello Ryan, I would like to apologize for your experience. Our standard procedure if we cannot get a bid out on time is to at minimum follow-up with the customer and send a calling card and we dropped the ball. In this particular case the skylight installation would have required cutting out a rafter and we are currently unable to do this project without a full roof replacement because of the risks it puts on the roofing system. He should have informed you when the supervisors passed the decision along. We are embarrassed and will be going back over training on how to keep a customer up to date. -CJ Mutson

  This company does not do repairs. I have a gutter leaking at the corner and was told that MY ENTIRE GUTTER ON THE WHOLE HOUSE would need to be replaced in order to fix it. Obviously they do not know how to do repairs. Or they just don’t want to be bothered with minor repairs. Very unprofessional. My gutters are fine except for that one corner.

  We are sorry you were upset with our response on your gutter repair request. It is the policy of Muth & Co. Roofing to not give a bid on repairs we do not feel will solve the problem or would be a long term fix. In your case, you have outside miter boxes on your house with a factory seam that is leaking. When a factory seam separates it is impossible to seal and guarantee a long term resolution, because of the sediment in the gutters and seams, as well as the expansion and contraction of the corner with debris snow and ice in it. The seam will continue to or start leaking again in short order. Thank you for your response and we will do a better job in the future explaining to customers when they call in that Muth will not attempt any repair WE feel will not solve your problems. That being said, there are a ton of companies out there that will gladly take your money, we however will not.

  Had a great experience with Muth. My only main issue was that I had to call and check in on where we were on the schedule. I would have preferred to have more proactive communication. Otherwise, great experience and would recommend them to others.

  Muth & Company Roofing provided a quality product at a reasonable price. They also replaced the fascia board and gutters with the new roof installation. I previously used them for some repairs and I always thought that when it came time for a new roof that they would be the company to select.

  They did a great job repairing my siding. They gave me an initial price which I paid half of and then they held through to the initial price that was given for the job and the guys that did it did a great job! I have used Muth Roofing before and have been very satisfied.

  Mr Kelly was absolutely amazing! I was at my wits end with fixing up my house, so when another leak spot started forming on my ceiling I felt defeated. I contacted multiple roofing/siding companies to get an estimate & I thank God that I was scheduled with Mr. Kelly. He came out and really went above and beyond to not only give me an estimate, but also teach me everything I needed to know going forward with warranties, etc. He helped me feel like there is definitely a light at the end of the tunnel for the first time in a year. I would highly recommend Muth, all of their employees are very sweet and knowledgeable, however, if you can, I would ask specifically for Kelly Wengerd.

  Muth Roofing was very responsive from start to finish. They completed the roof earlier than the scheduled date and help to facilitate supplemental repairs with my insurance company. Carl, the field supervisor was awesome to work with. If I need future work such as gutter they will be the first company I will call.

  Had to do a full roof replacement due to age/condition. Decided on Muth from a combination of cost and the lack of horror stories in the reviews and I have no horror stories to add to it. Received a very detailed breakdown for the quote, with a given possible range based on materials replacement cost (the final cost ended up being on the high end of that but the old decking was in bad shape). Kelly was very knowledgeable and patient throughout the process. The QA rep on site the day of the install, Trey, was very professional and communicative. It was not the cheapest option I could have gone with, nor was it the most expensive, but the job got done well.

  In 2010, I moved out of a home that had the roof replaced in Westerville, Ohio by Muth. They did such a great job when my current roof (not installed by Muth) was damaged by a storm, I called for help again. The next day Muth was at my home tarping it because 6 shingles blew off ( I called three local companies and only Muth was able to help me quickly avoid interior damage). I stayed protected by that tarp/nail down fix until it was replaced. Where I live a CLASS 4 roof (read about this level of protection, if you don't know) is not required but I wanted the extra confidence of class 4 roofing materials AND insurance discounts. Muth did a great job again! We love our new roof and sleep better knowing it's been fixed with a class 4 level roof by GAF. GAF the roof materials maker stands behind their materials and is the largest manufacturer of roofing materials in the US. Muth and GAF is my choice.

  Hey Tony, yes, the Class 4 is now becoming the standard. Our Ohio weather is extremely hard on roofs. Plus, as you mentioned, insurance companies now recognize and are rewarding homeowners. Thanks for the review, and the 5 stars!
