I don’t usually leave bad reviews. My experience with Melvin (the owner) was so bad that it warrants one. I scheduled an appointment for a bid on the phone. Then, 30 minutes before the appointment, he tells me I need to be there (which is completely fine). But nobody told me this over the phone when I made the appointment 4 days ago. I told him I need an extra 10 mins to get over there. He starts arguing with me over text and tells me that I am in the wrong and that I misheard the initial phone call. Wow what a great way to earn my business haha. There are so many roofing contractors in Phoenix find someone else.

We hired Monsoon Roofing to replaced my entire roof's underlayment. Out salesman Melvin was very patient. He explained in details how the work was going to be done when he gave me the esimitate. We chose them becauese the material they are using has high quality and the price is reasonable. I appreciate that Melvin kept coming in and checking the progress every day and follow up with me in case I have any questions. Great job by Monsoon Roofing!

I can’t say enough good things about Monsoon Roofing, they did a fabulous job on my roof. They are a family owned and operated business. I appreciated that they took pictures of the issues with my roof and explained the steps they would take to fix them. The work they did was phenomenal, I would recommend them to anyone that needs roofing work done. Thanks Monsoon Roofing!

My roof was replaced in February and I have been sleeping soundly with all the rain and weather we have been getting. Every person was wonderful. Non-pushy but very educational. Explaining every detail. Also having top folks come by daily to inspect and check in with my during the process. The details are amazing. They even went down the street when the wind picked up trash and blew it. So impressed!!

Melvin Sr and Melvin Jr were excellent to work with. They did everything that they said they would do. All in a very professional manner and on time. The crew was here each morning at 6am and busted their rear ends all day long. We are very …

As an engineer with decades of experience evaluating quality and workmanship, I was extremely impressed with Monsoon Roofing. Before even requesting a quote, I watched them work on a neighboring house with the same floor plan as ours and …

I highly recommend Monsoon Roofing for any roof repair. Melvin Sr and his son Melvin Jr came to my residence and did a thorough inspection of my roof and told me areas of concern and were able to quote me a price. I had broken tiles and the underlayment was pretty much warped and worn out. The workers know their jobs well and Melvin Jr would come out everyday and keep me posted on work being done. The job was done in 4 days. My 2 neighbors that are side by side also used Monsson Roofing and they were very satisfied with the job done. Their company is family run and give that personal touch of good customer service. Job well done.

From estimate to final walkthrough my experience with everyone was awesome. We had our underlayment fully redone as well as some repairs. The crew was amazing, they were true professionals and cleaned up all around the house every day, and they sent daily pictures and status updates, great communication! We are so glad that we went with a local family business that has the real experience and employees who care, thank you for making this big project so easy and giving us the peace of mind of having a new roof before monsoon season kicks off!

My 1st time having new underlayment and admittedly i was nervous on how much it was going to cost and how much work was going to be needed. Really glad for my neighbor's referral to Monsoon Roofing. 👍 They were kind, considerate, and listened to my goals for the project.🎯 From the first day I met Melvin, I knew I had the right roofer. No B.S., no sales pitch, just honest conversation about what it will cost to get the job done. I felt comfortable with the 30 year material warranty and 10 year labor that I canceled appointment I had with another roofer I had previously scheduled for later that day. Would highly recommend getting a roof done with this team 👍 No more worries about rain again.

Melvin, the owner, and all of the crew were incredibly thorough, provided more necessary work for safety issues than we were aware needed done, always informative and respectful, and very fair with the final price especially after all of the additional work that was needed. I highly recommend Monsoon Roofing!!

Monsoon Roofing did a great job replacing the roof on our two-story home. They are a small, highly experienced, local, family-owned local company that does quality work at competitive prices. They don’t cut corners and instead do whatever it takes to bring a roof up to current construction codes. For our roof that included installing all new flashing and replacing a very large number of tiles that were cracked in places not visible from the street. The 4-person crew that replaced our roof was obviously experienced and worked very efficiently (their crew leader has worked for Monsoon Roofing for almost 20 years). Melvin, the company President, was great to work with and provided a timely and quick, no-pressure bid. He even had his crew caulk two small openings under our eaves to keep birds from nesting in them. I highly recommend Monsoon Roofing.

We had a good experience with this company. They were on time, provided great service, and had fair pricing. There was also no upsell pressure. The project manager was great to work with.

Monsoon Roofing recently installed new underlayment and did maintenance repairs on our original builder roof that was over 30 years old. Our roof is large and more complex than many homes in the area in that it has additions for both additional living space and a built on shed with matching roofing, plus two patios. I was only interested in having the job done by a company that provided top quality and didn't cut corners. I had 3 quotes done on the job prior to starting. Monsoon Roofing and Melvin Monzon the owner met those requirements and met my expectations. Melvin took time to show me some other roofs in the neighborhood where other roofers had cut corners, things I would not have noticed on my own, but could clearly see as he pointed them out to me. Throughout the quoting and work Melvin was in contact with me, checking with me daily on work progress and seeing if I had any questions or concerns. Where there were choices before and during the job Melvin would explain the choices, his recommendations and then involve me in the decision on how to proceed. Excellent communication throughout. I also liked that Monsoon Roofings crews were experienced. The Lead on the job site has been with him for a long time. The Crew cleaned up every day and worked promptly, arriving as promised and finishing on-time even with some weather issues that they had to navigate. In the end I am completely satisfied, if you are looking for a quality roof with people that know how to do it right with a very involved owner that is easy to work with look no further than Monsoon Roofing.

The 2026 monsoon season is expected to be wetter than normal, bringing a high likelihood of increased rain and storm activity from June 15 to September 30. This applies to the greater Phoenix area, including the East Valley communities of Gilbert, Chandler, Mesa, Tempe, Ahwatukee, Gold Canyon, and Queen Creek. Forecasters predict up to a 40-60% chance of above-average precipitation and a "drenched" desert, creating a higher risk of flash flooding. 2026 monsoon forecast: Wetter Conditions: The National Weather Service (NWS) points to a higher probability of above-normal precipitation compared to last year. In addition to being wet, The Arizona Republic notes that this summer could be even warmer than normal. Expect more frequent intense storms, bringing potential for significant dust (haboobs) and heavy rainfall.
