  100% would NOT recommend Molloy Roofing. My estimator “forgot” about my appointment three separate occasions, when they finally made it out they tried to make a side deal with their cousin that lives down the street so I can “save money”. After my repair job was completed I had to have a different roofing company come out to fix the work that Molloy had completed. Do yourself a favor and find a different roofing company to complete the work!

  James, After reading your review and thoroughly reviewing the history of your project, including conversations our management team had with you directly, we regret that your experience with Molloy Roofing Company did not reflect the level of professionalism, communication, and craftsmanship that homeowners and businesses throughout Columbia Tusculum and the Greater Cincinnati area have come to expect from our company over the past 125 years. It's clear there was a disconnect from the beginning between the type of request, the property's access requirements, the timeline requested, and the repair our team believed was necessary to properly resolve the roof leak long-term. The original request came in as an estimate for a chimney flashing repair. However, based on the minor repair being requested—primarily caulking around the chimney—this likely would have been better handled through our service department rather than as a traditional estimate. Because Molloy Roofing Company is one of the few roofing contractors in Cincinnati that continues to offer service calls for minor roof repairs, demand during peak roofing season can limit immediate availability. In this case, the urgency of the requested timeline resulted in the project initially being routed as an estimate, while the requested scope of work was more appropriate for our service department. In hindsight, that mismatch created confusion throughout the remainder of the process. During our original site visit, which occurred within 48 hours of your initial request, our estimator determined that applying caulk to the chimney flashing, while it may have provided temporary improvement, would not provide the reliable, long-term solution our company strives to deliver. Our recommendation was that a more comprehensive chimney flashing repair would ultimately be necessary to properly address the source of the leak.   Nothing about this job went well. An automated system took my information and then nobody called back, the estimator didn't show up for an appointment, the wrong materials were delivered to the job site, the roofing crew tried (but failed) to complete the roofing before an impending rainstorm, the water stains in the ceiling after the first night, having to call to get the billing sorted out... it was one mistake after another, start to finish. Dave Molloy sold this business in 2025. The new owners clearly are not paying attention to details and my experience was awful. I do not recommend this company.

  Never seen them called for free qout but never came or if they did never informed me. nothing showes up on security cam feed. So unless they did a fly by and decided I wasn't worth their time idk

  Would not come out and repair problems with roof which was installed by Molloy. Roof was not protected well.

  We installed shingle portions of this roof for a previous homeowner in 2009. In May of 2019, we temporarily sealed wood trim around a window, recommending that adjoining deteriorated wood siding be replaced by others for a permanent repair. When the homeowner received our invoice ($181.35), they said that they had not expected to be charged for the temporary repair, so we removed the charge from their account. Last September, we were contacted, and I spoke with the homeowner about a dark 2"x3" stain on a ceiling, which from photos, appeared to be from a roof leak. The homeowner said that they had a handyman scheduled to be at their home soon, and to reduce costs, I suggested that the homeowner ask the handyman to seal any open places that they might find in the roofing above the leak. There were no flashings near the stain. Three months passed (Dec 28, 2022) and the homeowner called to say they had initiated a roofing storm damage claim, and felt compelled to use the roofing company referred by their insurance company. Nevertheless, the homeowner was understandably concerned about water damage and requested that we make an immediate temporary repair that we were unable to provide. We were extremely busy with ice-related leakage near the end of last year, and I regret that we were unable to promptly provide the requested temporary repair.   On Friday 2/17 I seen someone driving down the street in a molloy red truck on reed Hartman in blue ash Ohio around 4pm , one person smoking what’s known as a “dab pen” and the other person in passenger seat on his phone, I know who I won’t be going with at this time. Will be calling in to report as they are open today!

  We did not receive this review until today (Monday), but were able to check vehicle GPS records to determine if drivers were in that area last Friday, during the time noted. One vehicle was in that area, fairly close to the time you noted, and the driver of that vehicle has recently used a nicotine "vape" pen. Some nicotine "vape" pens look very much like the types that deliver THC, and in a moving vehicle, the two may be easily mistaken. That said, drugs ARE a plague in the construction industry, making drug testing, among other measures, unfortunate necessities. I'm not pleased to receive a one star review, but do thank you for reporting what appeared to be a hazardous situation. Dave Molloy

  hard to get information out of. not responsive about when they were going to come out. would just randomly show up without calling first. came up with poor excuse about why they didnt come out to measure and do the repair. we chose not to continue the repair with this company

  They brag about their quality but six years after they replaced our roof, we had a roof leak due to shingles with broken seals and nails below the seal. Consider looking elsewhere for a roofing contractor

  Very disappointed with this roofing company. Why? They used subcontractors for our home's roof replacement. After doing the initial work, we failed to receive any communication from Molloy about the status of the job for several weeks. In this period, I inspected the roof and found several issues that needed to be addressed. It wasn't until I contacted them to complain that they sent the subcontractors out again to finish/fix the job. Will not be recommending them to others in the future.

  This is a late reply, but we did not respond to reviews in the past, but have recently begun doing so. Without your name we cannot reply more specifically, but apologize for poor communication during the process of replacing your roof. We use a combination of employees and subcontractors in our work, but any remedial work would have been done by employees that specialize in follow-up repair. It sounds like there was a delay between completion of work and our final inspection, and this does sometimes occur. This would have been a communication failure on our part. We take our warranty obligations very seriously, and if you have any remaining concerns about your installation, please contact us and we will be out within a day.   Got many quotes, Molloy was one of the higher ones... Then I realized why. They were quoting to fix issues other companies not olny didnt see, but wern't going to even address. I had rotted wood, bad LEAF FILTER gutters, ( dont ever use them) cracked chimney cap, incorrect gutter reinstall ( leaf filter again) and rotted facia. They found , quoted and fixed EVERYTHING. even painted all the new wood AT NO EXTRA COST. They were fast, neat and thorough, from day one till finished. They cleaned up to where you could not even tell they were there. All said, they were the right choice, and were NOT as expensive as doing the roof, then finding all the issues the other companies would have ignored , then I would have had to pay for and deal with in the future... My wife and father in law also used them on different buildings, and now, I wouldn't even call anyone else in the future. Just USE MOLLOY, period.

  Tyler was very nice and professional and did a really good job inspecting and cleaning my gutters and even made a special trip back to put a gutter guard on one that had fallen off. He put up a splash guard and it made a huge difference, no more water on the porch! Thank you Tyler!

  I went with Molloy after bidding this job out because of their professionalism, detailed bid, and solid communication. They also had great reviews and an A+ better business record. I thought I should share a review post work to say we were very pleased. They stuck to their timeline, repaired decking as needed, were very quick with a big crew to replace our roof over the course of two days, working from 7 am to 7 pm on day 1. They also did an excellent job of cleaning and protecting the perimeter. At the end, they explained things well and I could tell the foreman and Molloy inspector take a lot of pride in doing quality work. We feel really good about our new roof.
