No call, no show to my roof repair appointment. It’s a Friday afternoon, what could I possibly be wanting to do instead of waiting for a roofer to come to my house for 3 hours and never showing up?

  Reply from the business

Matt, I'm terribly sorry about this! Of course, no one likes having their time wasted. Hopefully you can tell this is unlike us from out other reviews. We are amidst a major system and call center overhaul and this appointment didn't get into the calendar on our side. All I can do is say I'm sorry. I'm happy to rebook the appointment if you want to give us a call.

If I could leave zero stars, I would. My experience with Mighty Dog Roofing was a complete disaster. There was ZERO communication from Chris and the team—no updates, no timelines, no accountability. The project kicked off with a dumpster dropped on my property without any notice. It only went downhill from there. From day one, the project was plagued with poor communication, zero project oversight, and inexcusable sloppiness. They used not one, but TWO different subcontractor crews—neither of which were properly supervised, One crew was from a company based in Ft. Myers! The result? Sloppy workmanship, damages to my property, bent metal panels, and dangerously mishandled materials that have huge scratches throughout. Clear signs of incompetent, careless labor. It’s absolutely unacceptable to see damaged gutters, that had to be replaced, because the crews were too lazy to use a $25 guard. They promote themselves with guaranteed “5-Star Only” standards— Well, take a look at the photos! What I got was a job full of cut corners, damages, and deception. 5-Star turns out to be some of the lowest quality work I’ve ever seen. I'll let the photos speak for themselves—but heed this as a clear warning: Avoid the hassle, the damage, and the regret. Hire a company that actually takes pride in their work. Save yourself the stress and find a contractor that actually values quality, communication, and customer satisfaction. This was a costly mistake I hope others can avoid. #MightyDogRoofing #RoofingDisaster #PoorQuality #HomeownersBeware #Pinellas #StPete #Tampa

Lee, while insight is welcome as I grow a successful small business based on quality and integrity, the overall feedback simply isn't true in ways you have already admitted. While initial delivery and setup of a worksite can always be a bit messy; we do our best to keep it as clean as possible, unfortunately things can be missed. You and I have discussed these issues from the very beginning, with each addressed promptly as identified and remedied by my team. The same crew always starts and finishes one project, guys do have multiple trucks. 😉 The finished project makes for very good pictures that I'll post separately. This roof will protect your home and look great for decades to come.

They were great! Very polite and they finished the work in one day!! ( I do have a small roof ) They came right away to give me an estimate and gave me many options of roofing. They explained in detail about the roofing and how long they would last. This meant a lot to us to be given acknowledgement of the shingles.

Chris from Mighty Dog Roofing of St. Pete/Clearwater came out to inspect my roof integrity, soffits, and skylights. He made thoughtful, practical recommendations to help preserve the life of my roof and related components. Most importantly, he didn’t try to sell me anything I didn’t need. Honest, professional, and genuinely helpful—I highly recommend him.

Chris and his teams at Mighty Dog really do live up to their name. What started as a new roof project on a 40+ year old home revealed both termite damage and wood rot in our framing, not to mention other issues not up to current code. Which all could have turned out much more costly and have delayed completion significantly. Fortunately, having the right people in place saved us time, money, and frustration. Chris handled all the permitting and made the whole process easy and efficient. Even as these "surprises" came up, as they do on all projects, and caused change orders and unexpected costs (no fault if theirs), his teams were able to work through the challenges to everyone's satisfaction. And most importantly, the final product - the quality of workmanship - and the value added to my home speaks for itself.
