We wrote a review of the poor workmanship and deceptive practices of Midwest Roofing. The owner actually posted to call a certain number and Midwest would rectify the issue.,we called the number and talked to Jason. He said he would talk to the owner and would call us back last Monday. He never called. Beware of any company that is deceptive and not customer-oriented. Since the issue(s) is/are the bird-spikes Midwest installed, we feel it’s our duty to add a review with pictures of all of the bird-spikes we find in our yard. Each poorly installed bird-spikes is just another issue. We will keep you updated for sure. Beware of a company that doesn’t care about their customers!!

EXTREMELY UNHAPPY AND DISAPPOINTED…No response from our letter to the company so we will air our frustration over Google to warn others…Roof and gutter were replaced due to hail damage… The salesperson(BP) agreement included new roof, new gutters, bird spikes as it was discussed many times the damage the birds were doing to the roof. After the roof was installed, BP glued extremely cheap plastic bird spikes on the roof that are now falling off into the yard. We texted him several times and called and left messages.. he never returned our calls. We spoke with the office and asked for a new rep. Then, BP called us and threatened my 76 year old wife stating that he would not replace the cheap plastic bird spikes with the better metal bird spikes we have purchased. He then said that it would void our warranty. He threatened that the bird spikes would void our warranty after he had installed the cheaper bird spikes while wearing the Midwest shirt and driving the Midwest truck and being employed by Midwest (signed contracts for Midwest, accepted checks for Midwest, was an employed agent of Midwest). Then he actually threatened my wife by saying, “He would no longer have kindness in his heart for us!!”. We called Owen’s Corning and they said it would not void the warranty but now we are stuck with cheap bird spikes falling from our roof.. and a very hurtful threatening phone call from Midwest Rep BP! We sent a letter to the owners and they have not responded after over a month! We paid an extra $2500 for things the insurance company would not pay for, but were deemed necessary by Midwest Roofing agent, BP. We signed an agreement and did our 150% in good faith expecting to be treated as valued customers. We paid more because we expected better treatment and a solutions to any issues we had; certainly not our extended warranty to be voided by an issue that was created by BP, our calls and pleas to Midwest Rooding upper management to be ignored, and for sure not a verbally th

Although my roof was replaced, Andy told me patches (wood rot) was $100 per spot they charged $125 per spot. But the main problem I have with them is the truck that delivered my shingles crushed an area on my asphalt driveway….there was some loose gravel in that spot but NOT broken asphalt. The last picture is the photo they used to deny the claim for a patch of my driveway The pictures shown is what my driveway looks like now….it also took weeks for the roof to be replaced!

$60,000 for a metal roof on an 1,100 sq. ft. ranch home is absolutely insane. What really blew my mind wasn’t even the number — it was the excuses and complete lack of transparency. Midwest Roofing had ZERO problem giving me an itemized breakdown for the $8,000 shingle roof quote… but suddenly when the quote jumped to SIXTY THOUSAND DOLLARS for metal, they “don’t do itemized estimates.” That makes absolutely no sense. When I questioned the pricing, I was told their overhead was high because of “gas, trucks, and travel expenses.” Are you serious? Since when do fuel costs magically turn a small ranch roof into a luxury commercial project? I had ELEVEN roofing companies come out. Every other contractor provided detailed multi-page quotes showing materials, labor, scope, warranties, and specifications. Midwest Roofing was the ONLY company that refused to explain what I was actually buying on the metal roof. If you expect someone to spend $60,000, you better be able to show: - metal gauge - manufacturer - underlayment - labor scope - warranty - square count - installation specs - SOMETHING Otherwise it looks like you’re hiding markup. And the constant sales pitch of: “Don’t worry, insurance will pay for it” is exactly the kind of thing homeowners should be cautious about. We already hired another contractor, so this review isn’t about getting a discount. I’m posting this because I genuinely think people deserve transparency before signing contracts this big. Still waiting to speak to the owner.

We had Midwest Roofing redo our roof; they came recommended by a friend. It was the worst experience we've had with a roofing company. They showed up unannounced 2 days early at 4:30 in the afternoon and rushed to get the job done that same day. Clean-up was very poor; pieces of shingle and roofing paper on the ground and in the yard. I found over 120 nails around the house, in the grass, and 3 of them in our pool, which is 36 feet from the house. One of my family members punctured his foot on a nail in the pool. They did not come back out to inspect the job, verify the clean-up, or check to see if we had any issues. I called them several times, letting them know the number of nails still on the ground and my concern that someone would end up with a nail in their foot. They brought me a magnet so I could pick up the nails. We ended up with a hole in the pool liner, which had to be replaced. They were also referred to work on 2 other homes by our friend, neither of those jobs were not done correctly. It took months to get the job done and completed correctly. I went into this contract under the assumption that a large company would provide top service. This was not the case at all. I was highly disappointed in the work and the service we received. We have nails that were shot through the roof, puncturing storage bins and causing damage. I would never recommend Midwest Roofing to any of my family or friends. It was only after I let them know I had contacted an attorney that they showed any sort of customer service.

Lauri, thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We always strive for top-tier customer service and cleanup, and we're sorry that wasn't your experience. From the notes on your project last summer, it looks like it took several weeks to schedule your job, which can be very dynamic depending on insurance and production timelines, as well as weather. Our team went back several times after the roof was installed to nail sweep—especially since the project was completed late in the evening, which is typical for long summer days. We also provided a check to replace the punctured pool liner and chemicals to restore the pool to original condition. We'd love the opportunity to address your ongoing concerns, and we invite you to contact our office at (573) 498-2645 to speak with our team directly. Again, we appreciate you sharing your experience with us so we can improve for future customers.

Had a guy stop by my house in St. James. Set up an appointment for a Saturday. Waited at home and they 'No call/No showed'. I don't think that's the company I'll use.

I received a quote for a roof replacement from this company. It was close to TWICE THE COST of the three other quotes obtained! The salesperson was more concerned with how much insurance was going to pay than anything else, so he could jack the quote up to at least match the insurance and maybe add to it a bit. His sole focus was on obtaining a quote from an insurance company, which he didn't even know would be involved or not, and which I considered none of his business. After explaining that more costs to insurance companies likely equates to higher cost premiums later, he unknowingly claimed that isn't a concern. I believe in providing a fair price, regardless of who is paying for it. I took a pass on this company and recommend others do the same.

We recently had a roof replacement due to damage from a hailstorm. It was a very smooth process. Andy was onsite very soon after the initial contact was made and set the wheels in motion with our insurance company. Macey kept us undated on the claim status and as well as the repair timeline. The communication was very good. When the actual replacement was scheduled, Gary and Zack were onsite and stayed in communication with us with any issues and addressed any concerns or questions that I had. Their crew did a great job with the tear down, replacement, and cleanup.

Adam and his crew showed up exactly as they said they would! They did a fantastic job! Throughout the day, Adam regularly checked in with me regarding the quality of the work and shared in the excitement of our exterior remodel that is in progress. He was genuinely interested in our vision. Adam took time to answer my questions throughout the day regarding the work and process. Adam and his crew worked overtime to ensure that the job was completed as promised. I would highly recommend Midwest Roofing, Adam and his crew.

Both the Roofing Crew and the Guttering Man and sons. Worked hard through record heat. Come daily early so they could get the metal roof on before the heat forced them off the roofs. The roofers finished 3 large structures in just 2 weeks. And the Gutters went up in 4 days only working 6.5 hrs cause of the heat. I highly recommend them.

Couldn’t be more pleased with Midwest Roofing from start to finish. Nate was a true professional throughout the entire process, clear communication, honest answers to every question, and never any pressure. He made what could have been a stressful project feel completely manageable. Travis and the install crew were equally outstanding. They showed up on time, worked efficiently, and the quality of the installation speaks for itself. The site was left spotless when they finished, and the attention to detail was obvious in every part of the job. If you’re looking for a roofing company that does what they say, stands behind their work, and treats you right, Midwest Roofing is the one to call. Highly recommend. We had some issues with the work that a sub contractor did that was not satisfactory. Chris with Midwest came back and did an excellent job making everything right!

🏠 Pan vents are small, but they do big work — letting your attic breathe. Trapped hot, moist air drives up cooling costs, invites mold and rot, and ages your shingles early. In winter, poor ventilation warms your roof deck and melts rooftop snow, which refreezes at the eaves and forms ice dams that push water under your shingles. Proper ventilation keeps the roof deck cold and even, so that cycle never starts. The result: a cooler home, a drier attic, and a roof that lasts.
