I recently received an email asking me to leave a review on Leak Stoppers’ new Google review page. I feel it’s important to share my experience. John came to my home to repair a leak he claimed originated from my gutters. This was after I had already replaced siding and redone my deck based on his initial recommendations. Unfortunately, after the gutter repair, the leak persisted when it rained again. Throughout the process, John was extremely unprofessional and belligerent, yelling and boasting about his experience in the roofing business rather than addressing the problem. When I attempted to speak with someone else, Lauren answered the phone and was dismissive, defending John’s behavior rather than helping resolve the issue. John also returned to my home while I was at work. My wife answered the door and informed him of the situation, but he treated her in the same disrespectful manner. When she asked about next steps, he was dismissive and walked away, stating he would email an invoice. After this experience, the leak remains unresolved, and the customer service was unacceptable. I cannot, in good faith, recommend Leak Stoppers to anyone.

I am very satisfied with the work this roofing company did. The owner, John, diagnosed the fix and Selvin and his team comprehensively repaired a difficult roof leak. Their knowledge, skill, and attention to detail were clear throughout the process. The workmanship was excellent, and they took the time to do the job right instead of offering a quick temporary fix. Since the repair, we had a heavy rainstorm and their was no further leaking. I highly recommend this company for honest, high-quality roofing work. If you have a challenging roofing problem, these are the people to call.

Over the past 10 years, I have used John and his guys several times on different structures: barn, personal residence and two rentals. The first time I need a roofer I called around. There are some real piece-of-work roofers out there. I called John last, paid the fee to get him out to Peconic. He said he could repair the roof (it had nail pops and flashing issues) the other guys just wanted to replace big sections or all of it, repairs were not possible. Leak Stoppers got the job, and several more over the following years: Full tear off replacements, partial replacements, masonry repairs to chimneys, chimney caps, chimney crickets, flashing and patching. They have pretty well done it all for me. Living out of state, I need people that I can depend on to tell me the truth, and not blow a lot of smoke. So when I find a dependable craftsman, they earn a place in my contact list and continue to be called as I have done with Leak Stoppers.

Leakstoppers was comprehensive in its proposal and amenable to a cost saving change before they started work. Once we agreed on the work, they went right to work and completed on time. They sealed our waterfront home for leaks. Nothing has leaked since they were here.

Great work, and fast reliable service. A couple of years after a new roof install, I had a problem with a skylight. The issue had nothing to do with their work but they promptly came through and repaired the problem. Highly recommend them for honest, reliable, and quality workmanship.
