I had J.Great re-do my roof a few weeks ago. Some positives are that I had multiple quotes and JGreat was the best value for what they offer. The quality of work seems to be solid, but they really made a mess on my property leaving nails and garbage everywhere. I spent roughly two hours and few days after picking up nails and old shingles. I have dogs and an infant, and it was very disappointing and calls into question the overall job in my mind. I texted Jose about it, said he call me , never did. Such is life on Long Island when dealing with contractors. Looking back on it, I probably would’ve paid the extra $1000 to someone else and not deal with it. Probably wouldn’t give the recommendation either. in the end, I have my roof and they have their money. Life goes on.

I called to get a roof estimate. They called days later, which when called they wanted to come in ten minutes or leave estimate in mailbox. Unfornately you can not see my whole roof from street. I made appointment for them to come between 4 & 5 pm. They never showed and never called. This makes them very unprofessional.

used them once before did great work at a fair price. I called both numbers and emailed them for estimate on leaky roof. Never received a response. Wasn’t a big job but would think I get a call back. . Will look elsewhere .

J Great Roofing has done the roof for 3 of my family’s homes. Every time it’s the same consistent, high quality work, high quality materials, and quick honest service. Jose the owner is fair and forthright as are his prices. They always do the whole job in 1 day, in and out. Awesome!

Great price on the roof and everything came out great and everything was completed in a timely manner. I had a couple minor issues that they came back and addressed.

My flat roof on the rear dormer of my house in West Babylon literally blew off in a wind storm back in 2024. TLDR; they did the job, it was a reasonable price, it was done quickly, and I was happy. I got verbal quotes and visits from a handful of roofers on Angi, and also called in a couple local people, including J Great, who were right around the corner. Here is how they got the business: I needed a professional, written quote to share with my homeowner’s insurance. J Great had no problem providing that quote. The adjuster said, “this is a great quote!” And it was approved and the money was released easily. A lot of other roofers were sketchy, trying to hard sell me on the spot, trying to explain that homeowners wouldn’t work and I should just pay them (they were wrong… homeowners insurance worked great via J Great’s quote). Anyhow… J Great did the job, it was a reasonable price, it was done quickly, and I was happy.

Google cut this review short. The full text is on their Google profile.

I highly recommend J. Great Roofing. They have replaced the roofs on two of my homes and also installed my siding, and every experience has been excellent. Jose was professional from start to finish, took the time to answer my questions, and offered a very fair price. The crew was clean, efficient, and respectful of my property. They completed the work on time and left everything spotless when they were finished. The quality of their workmanship is outstanding, and I couldn't be happier with the results. If you're looking for an honest, reliable roofing and siding company that does quality work at a great price, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend J. Great Roofing.
