  Good afternoon Mr. Grimm. We are so sorry that this happened. I know you really wanted an estimate from us and we fell short so say the least. This was a result of someone on our inside team completely dropping the ball and not calling you back. I know this won't make your experience better but we appreciate your review as we were able to retrain our inside team member to avoid having this happen due to miscommunication. We are glad to hear that you were able to find a company to help you with your remodeling project and wish you nothing but the best. Again we apologize for this shortcoming and hope to serve the community better in the future.

  Are you looking for a siding specialist with a Workmanship Warranty of Five Years? Move on. We had that with Goodlies Contracting in our $52,000 contract. Another lie, unfortunately, as they they WOULD address any issues. Not the case with these guys. Especially not sloppy slippage of heavy fiber cement siding especially when its on all sides of your house at every level. They didn't use sheathing per our contract or the proper fastener on our new construction. The new siding is here. Waiting on Good Guys to show up

  Read great reviews but after meeting with their sales person (Dave), who was very nice and helpful and said he would get back to us in a few days with an estimate for siding the back of our brownstone. It's now been over a month and I have yet to hear anything from them even after I've followed up with emails. I'm afraid that if this is the level of their customer service i would have to say to look elsewhere. Can't redo a first impression.

  Earlier this year, we started looking for contractors who worked with James Hardie products. My wife had been secretly putting together her ideas for what she thought our dream home would look like, and that involved using Hardie products. I wasn’t really familiar with them, but after doing some research I got on board and added a few ideas of my own. Once we had a pretty good idea of what we wanted and figured out a budget, we went to the James Hardie website to see who installed their products in our area. We checked the customer reviews and chose Good Guys Contracting. We couldn’t have been happier with that choice. From the very beginning, Good Guys went from strength to strength. Our first contact was Scott, a great guy who understood that we were serious and highly motivated to make changes to our worn and dated home. He had tons of insight, along with the kind of personality and professionalism that told us we weren’t in Kansas anymore. He got the ball rolling, kept us up to speed on the Good Guys process and explained the design renderings that would soon be coming. Next came the production team of Alfonso and Carolina. We had a production meeting at our home where we went over all the details and they took precise measurements of everything that would be touched. Once that was done, our start date was scheduled. One of the many things I took away from this experience is that Good Guys did everything they said they would do. I’ve been in the service industry for close to 40 years, and that’s a big deal. Once the work began, we had one of the finest crews I have ever seen. They were communicative, on time and respectful of our property and neighborhood. It really doesn’t get any better than the experience we had. Through it all, Alfonso, the production manager, was on-site every day going over everything with the crew and making sure the work stayed on track.   Thank you to Good Guys Contracting to making our parent’s home exterior renovation project dream become a reality! From our initial meeting with David to discuss the scope of the project, to the preconstruction meeting with Carolina and Steven, we knew at the very beginning this was going to go as smoothly as possible. Everyone was so friendly, helpful, communicative and just overall wonderful to work with. Steven was sending us video updates nearly daily as we were doing the project renovation from over 2,000 miles away in CO. He made things so easy and effortless and always answered our questions and came up with quick solutions if there were ever any hiccups. After working together for a few months now, we are going to miss his daily correspondence and lighthearted, easygoing personality. We really appreciate everyone on the team from David, to Carolina, to Brittney, Brogan, and Z… and of course Steve! Thank you, thank you! We will be recommending Good Guys to all our friends and family in Long Island for their home renovation needs!

  Can't speak highly enough about Good Guys Contracting. From our first inquiry with Brittany, the team was professional, tidy, and clearly took pride in the work. Brittany made sure we understood all of our options and helped translate our ideas into the perfect design. The house took on a major transformation, and we're very happy with the end result. I also want to call out the foreman, Alfonso. He ran the job the way you hope every contractor would: communicative, on schedule, and genuinely invested in getting the details right.   My family and I had a wonderful experience with the team who assisted us during our home improvement process. They upgraded our siding, windows, and gutters and we could not be happier. With the help of Brogan, Scott, Alfonso, and Carolina we had a smooth and seamless experience. We felt heard and were accommodated when we decided on last minute changes with positive attitudes.   The team at Good Guys provided the support for our HOA’s major capital improvement project for siding, roofing and appurtenances. It was a huge undertaking and their team was relentless in keeping us on time and on budget. We had a separate project for our home immediately following and we went back to Good Guys for the installation of new decking systems over a flat roof and for a balcony. Their work was exceptional and a real value add proposition for our home. Their team was polite, professional, detail-oriented and timely. The project manager, Alfonso, was responsive with updates and went above and beyond for the best outcome and work.   Good Guys Contracting just finished the siding on my house and I couldn't be happier. It looks even more beautiful than I imagined. The entire staff was so friendly and kept in communication with me throughout the entire project, which was great! Brittney and Alfonso kept me informed and answered all of my questions right away. They were friendly and professional the entire time. They are a complete team of professionals who do high quality work with a smile.   Scott Ornellas at Good Guys Contracting has been professional, highly available, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable about James Hardie siding and other potential materials and capabilities that we have been seeking for our project. He put together a detailed proposal for how to achieve our goal (among other things) of restoring the original 1910 historic look of the house, via his recommendations and photo examples of specific materials ranging from the exterior siding itself to historic designs for window pediments and trim, cornice, and front door awning. We look forward to working with the Good Guys Contracting team, and I’ll be sure to post before and after results when the project is completed.

  Alfonso Rodriguez the project manager on my home project was unbelievable! He was at my home everyday. Alfonso responded to my phone calls and texts immediately to answer all questions and concerns. He was instrumental in helping me choose things like gutter color and guards.   The company employees live up to the company Good Guys. From the very first phone conversation with the outstanding representative Mrs Brogan I got a good feeling regarding the requested services. Additionally she was always pleasant regarding directing my questions and getting my requested information. Once I meet the chief estimator I was Scott and reviewed the work I became confident that GG contracting was the company to side my project. He is very knowledgeable regarding the products and the installation guidelines. Moving forward I’m finding that all the company employees have the same great effect regarding an instilling confidence a feeling of confidence. Having several years experance in the construction business I highly recommend Good Guys. Thank you all Lenny Upon completion of my project: As far as the Good guys staff. Scott: super notable regarding the product thus giving confidence to the customer. Brogan sterling personality and charm made the payment process easy for a very paranoid customer. Steve upbeat candor was a positive factor to the project. Additionally his professional handling the issue regarding scope is to be commended.   I am working with Good Guys Contracting for a large project to replace my roof and reside my house in Hardie Plank. So far they did my roof and did a fantastic job. It looks great and they did it quickly and were clean and efficient. My team at Good Guys - Steven, Brogan, Caroline and Brittney - are awesome! I am so impressed with how easy and efficient it is to communicate with them. I have owned my house for 40 years and have never worked with a contractor as efficient, organized and easy to work with as this group. They really know their craft!
