  A solicitor ignored my giant no soliciting sign and repeatedly knocked on my door over and over for a few minutes. My son is sick and having someone repeatedly knock made it seem like it was someone we knew trying to get a hold of us so I opened my door. I pointed to my giant no soliciting sign and asked if she can read??? She ignored me as if she isn't a solicitor. Incredibly rude!! Stay off my porch and don't knock like you're a friend or family.

If one of our roofing specialists knocked on your door it was probably to inform you about the wind damage you have on your roof. We always do this to help home owners to prevent water damage inside their home and prevent Mold creation in the attic which is a harmful agent to every family member who breaths it.   We hired Lakewood Roofing after the November 2024 windstorm, when a tree fell on our home. Their representative, Lia, came to our door and assured us they would work directly with our insurance company to handle everything — new roof, gutters, and siding. Since we had never dealt with an insurance claim before, this sounded like a huge relief. Unfortunately, the experience became a long, stressful, and costly ordeal. They installed a new roof and skylight, but the problems started immediately. After the roof was “finished,” we discovered half inch gaps in the truss repair. When we raised concerns, they made it seem like we didn’t know what we were talking about — until an inspector confirmed the work was unacceptable. Only then did they come back to fix it. During that process, we asked for the permit they claimed had been filed. They provided it, but we discovered it had been submitted after we asked for it. The project was not properly permitted from the start. The skylight installation was also left unfinished. They told us they couldn’t repaint because they “couldn’t color match,” again implying that we, as homeowners, didn’t understand how paint matching works. After several back and forths, my husband and I went out, got the correct paint match ourselves, and only then did they complete the job. Even now, the flashing around the skylight is not square — which we now know is contributing to some of the leaks in our roof. It took months of delays before they finally admitted they would not be completing the gutters and siding that were promised and included in our contract. We were forced to find another contractor, losing valuable time during an already stressful recovery. They basically used this as a sales tactic. We also discovered that they removed and replaced our roof decking without authorization. The insurance company refused to reimburse them because they couldn’t prove the work was necessary — leaving us stuck in the middle of a dispute we never agree

  Thank you Alexandra for the review. We are always working on improving. As you mentioned the trusses were fixed properly as requested by the city inspector and no gaps are in the updated work ( we have pictures) yes the plywood on the entire house was replaced because it was damaged and you are right The Insurace company refused to covered. We did it because that is what building code required, it was the right thing to do and we ate up the loss of installing new 5/8” plywood on your roof.   The estimate given was more than 50% over than the other 3 estimates I got. Another local business putting politics and greed ahead of everything else. Would rate lower if I could.

  Don’t sign any paper of their work till you do YOUR own research . You can do your own insurance claim yourself. What they do is see how much annuity you have in your home with the insurance. So they can charge your insurance whatever they feel like it. They had my husband sign a form stating that once the insurance claim got approved, we had to give over our insurance claim check. Didn’t feel right doing so. We decided to ask for estimate, ask them multiple times what they were trying to charge us for, and still refused to answer us cause they wanted the insurance check first. Be careful with this company. Questioned them on whatever they’re trying to charge you or your insurance. At the end of the day, Your home insurance is the one that’s gonna be going up, if you do a claim. Keep that in mind. We ended up going to small people’s claim. Because they were trying to charge us 2500$ for service they NEVER did. Ended up only having to pay them $445 due to the form that was signed that I mentioned earlier. When they DIDN’T do any services to our house. Horrible Experience, I’m glad they didn’t do work on my house.

  Hello Blanca, yes you can file the Insurace claim yourself but won’t be successful without an expert restoration company. Once a claim is open the customer is responsible for paying the deductible and the insurance company sends the rest of the payment to the contractor through the homeowner. You didn’t want to pay the deductible or give the check the insurance sent for the contractor. That is why we end up in court and the Judge told you, you had to pay because you were wrong you can’t break a contractor and try to steal money from the Insurace and the contractor. I recommend you to finish the claim properly so you don’t get in Trouble for it.

  My advice to anyone considering Lakewood Roofing: Exercise extreme caution. Thoroughly read and re-read your estimate and contract. More importantly, ensure any sales pitches are documented and verified in writing before you sign anything. Failing to do so will likely leave you feeling as frustrated and regretful. Dont assume your sales person has all their ducks in a row. Communication after the fact will be met with silence

  Lakewood roofing is the best roofing company in the area! They have the best prices and their owner, Christian is one of the best contractors I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with so much in fact that now he’s done our main house and our detached garage roof because they do such a fantastic job. I will always choose Lakewood roofing when it comes to putting a new roof, or any restoration work because I know that they will always do a fantastic job, they guarantee their work and every job is as painless as possible! They are the “Gold Standard” in roofing!

  I had our full roof replaced by Lakewood Roofing and am a very satisfied customer! The job was done quickly with no surprises, good attention to detail, and the crew did a great job at keeping everything neat and tidy during and after the job was completed. I got a few different quotes and Lakewood Roofing was the best on price and offer high quality products. I definitely would hire them again and am referring people I know to give them a call when it comes time for their roof replacement.

  We initially reached out to 5 different companies for an estimate. We chose Lakewood Roofing due to the confidence of the work that Jose inspired during his walk through. Here our my comments in the hopes that it helps both the company and future customers. The work that was conducted was roof replacement, gutter replacement, siding repair, and painting. First and foremost the workers were incredible. They worked tirelessly and wouldn't leave until the job was complete or they hit major checkpoints. Jose was accessible and quick to respond with any issues and the project manager (I forgot his name) met me at my house and addressed any concerns immediately. 5 stars given due to the final products and customer service. I would recommend Lakewood Roofing for any exterior projects. The only issue that could be improved upon going forward is a better understanding of what the final products will look like especially if the homeowner takes cost effective measures. The details of this were directly communicated to Jose for the future and left at that. Highly recommend
