Beware!! This company clearly does not do quality work. A new cedar shingle roof was installed in 2018 and then less than 4 years later, various leaks occurred in different locations. They won’t stand by their work, either, since they say the roof is no longer warrantied due to a new owner (most roof warranties transfer to the first new homeowner particularly since a new roof may be a selling point for the original homeowner).

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We want to clarify a few important points for accuracy. Our involvement with your home was limited to a localized repair only, at your request. At the time of service, we clearly explained that repairing a single section of the roof would not resolve the broader leaking issues, as the problems were occurring in multiple areas. Despite our recommendation for a more comprehensive solution, you chose to proceed with a limited repair, which we completed as agreed. Regarding the cedar shingle roof installed in 2018, that installation was performed for the previous homeowner. As outlined in our warranty documentation, the workmanship warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original client. This was communicated transparently and is consistent with our standard warranty terms. We stand behind the quality of our work and take pride in being honest with customers—even when that means advising against partial repairs that are unlikely to solve the overall issue. Unfortunately, when recommendations are declined, the outcome may not meet expectations. We wish you the best moving forward and remain available should you decide to address the roof issues comprehensively in the future. — Kuhnert Roofing

Total shotty work , put new shingles over old plywood a week before irma hit just yo get paid , never informed us that we needed new and put a hole in the roof then just shingled over it ,we approached them about it they took some scrap wood and fixed the hole, i had to call them back to fix it properly, and when called them out on the shotty work they said they could fix it for 11k , Save your money go somewhere else

The work performed was limited to plywood decking repairs only, per the homeowner-approved scope of work. Full decking replacement was not authorized. When an area of damaged plywood was identified, it was addressed in accordance with what was approved at the time. When additional concerns were later raised, we returned to the property to make further repairs. Any subsequent recommendation for more extensive work involved repairs beyond the original scope, which is why a separate estimate was provided. We do not conceal conditions or perform unauthorized work. All repairs are completed based on written agreements and customer approval. We stand by the work we are contracted to perform and encourage homeowners to review their contract for clarity on the scope and responsibilities. — Kuhnert Roofing
