  The siding looks nice and matches the house siding I had them do in 2018. Both times there were issues with communication. It seemed like once the job was half done I had a hard time getting responses or follow through. On this last job, the crew started putting Tyvek over the old rotting T-111 siding, which was contractually specified to be removed. The use of 2-1/4" nails was specified in the contract and I didn't think about it until later, because I didn't think I should have to think about it, but that's too long. Those nails went through 1/2" OSB into 2x4" studs which are real size 3-1/2" wide. Half of a stud is 1-3/4", plus 1/2" for the OSB is 2-1/4", the length of the nails and right in the stud center which is where the wiring is run. One of the nails went through the back of a switch box and into the wiring within, causing a short every time a switch was turned on. Thankfully nothing else was hit, but in reality I'll never know that for sure. It does cause me to wonder what was used on my house now and what unseen issues there may be. I got a bill before the job was done. The gutter guards hadn't been installed. If I was frail and unable to check for myself, I would have paid the bill. From the response - "inconvenience"?!? You broke my electrical circuit to my garage. You used nails that were way too long and inappropriate for their purpose. You didn't offer to fix or compensate me for the fix I had to pay for. Try to put yourself in my shoes. It's sad because after two jobs costing $61,819.71 total I have to find another contractor to work with, and decent contractors are hard to come by.

  Hired Krech Exteriors for a small roof repair tied to my home sale closing, which gave the project a hard deadline. The repair itself was minor. The communication and organization problems were not. Scheduling: After my initial outreach on April 20, it took weeks of me chasing to get on the calendar. My salesperson Oscar promised completion by May 1st. That date came and went with no work done and no proactive communication on their end. I had to chase again to learn nothing had even been scheduled. During the scheduling process, Oscar at one point texted me thinking I was a different customer named Josh, asking about my insurance company. Onsite: When the crew arrived, they approached me confused about which areas to repair, despite having the estimate and photos in hand. I pointed out the spots already documented in their own paperwork. The crew was on site for about 2 hours, then left without showing me the finished work or confirming the job was complete. After the work: This is where the experience got worse. The company claimed additional work had been performed beyond the original scope of the estimate, but never produced any evidence of what that additional work actually was. No itemized list, no documented areas, no comparison to the original scope, no photos of the supposed additional repairs. When I asked how that additional work had been authorized, they could only claim I had requested it but had no written documentation to substantiate it. After internal review, the company stood by their position without ever showing what the additional work consisted of. The pattern was consistent throughout: poor communication between sales, production, and the crew, missed commitments without proactive follow-up, weak coordination from start to finish, and a willingness to maintain claims they cannot or will not substantiate. This is not a company I wish to do business with again.

Decisions were made in real time with the goal of helping move the closing forward and resolving the concerns as efficiently as possible. We take pride in helping homeowners with projects of all sizes and always aim to provide quality workmanship and professional service. While we respect every customer’s right to share their experience, we do not believe this review fully reflects the effort our team made to complete the project under a compressed timeline.

  I would strongly caution anyone considering Krech Exteriors. Communication is inconsistent, scheduling is unreliable, and once the job is partially underway, responsiveness drops significantly. Crews come and go without clear timelines, progress stalls for long periods, and follow-through often requires repeated outreach from the homeowner. For a project at this price point, the lack of professionalism and accountability was extremely frustrating. While some of the finished work may look acceptable on the surface, the overall experience left me questioning what may have been rushed or overlooked. Billing occurred before all agreed-upon work was completed, which required additional effort to resolve. Given the cost and scope of the project, I expected a much higher standard of communication, consistency, and execution. If you move forward with this company, get everything in writing and be prepared to monitor the project closely from start to finish.

  I hired Krech to replace the roof and skylights on my home. Krech used a subcontractor for the work. The quality of the subcontractor’s workmanship was extremely low, and quality control by Krech was sorely missing. After many months of back and forth to resolve the issues, it became clear that Krech’s workmanship warranty is an empty verbal commitment. I do not recommend this company.

  I requested a quote online and received a response quickly. After the inspector came out to inspect my roof he sent details and shared it’s not weather damage so my insurance wouldn’t cover it. The inspector assured if we would like an estimated on roof replacement, I responded yes. I never heard back from him.

  Customer service representatives and schedulers seem competent. People who provide estimates are not. I requested an estimate for siding repair. Initial salesperson cancelled on the day of my appointment. He reported needing to "help out" in St. Cloud, which I think means pursue larger insurance claims in an area with recent storm damage. I called to reschedule my estimate. Second salesperson, Brendan, arrived 3 hours late. His excuse was that he was in Monticello the day prior. He then told me that my roof has no attic vents. It has multiple. Brendan then tried to sell me a new garage roof. I did not ask for that as part of the estimate. He then told me he would email me a siding repair estimate. He did not. Interacting with this company is a complete waste of time.

  The Krech team did a whole-home vinyl residing project for us including gutters, soffit, fascia. They weren’t the cheapest possible quote but also far from the most expensive and did absolutely beautiful work on our home. No major home project goes perfectly - and the Krech team was always highly responsive and receptive to making sure we were extremely happy with their end result, and didn’t blink an eye to make things right when needed. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Krech to a family member or close friend. Very appreciative of their hard work and care!

  Oscar was a pleasure to deal with. I needed a quote with very short notice.   I had a call out to multiple local roofing companies, none contacted me back. I found Krech Exteriors late in the day. They took my call and got Pete Siedl out to check our roof at our first opportunity. Pete was efficient, professional, and knowledgeable. He had a multiple estimates prepared and always takes calls for questions or comments. The prices were excellent for all options, even a worst case scenario. We will update after the new roof is installed. Thank you Pete and Krech Exteriors! They scheduled our roof earlier than expected, were there early, went above and beyond throughout the entire process. We love the service, installation, and attention to details.   I hired Krech Exteriors to replace my siding, roof, and gutters/soffits/fascia, and I am absolutely thrilled with the outcome. Mike Wieczorek (Sales) was exceptional to work with—consistently communicative and always keeping me informed every step of the way. When I reached out to Krech Exteriors, I had just five weeks left to file an insurance claim due to some damage noticed. As part of my contract, Krech liaised directly with the insurance company, advocating on my behalf and significantly made the process far less stressful. As materials started arriving, Krech’s project lead seamlessly took charge, ensuring every contracted crew fully understood the plan and my expectations. Any questions, concerns, or issues were addressed promptly and professionally. I did take on much of the daily cleanup myself, but only because I’m very particular and wanted to ensure screws or nails were not left in the lawn or flower beds. The craftsmanship throughout the project was outstanding—meticulous, careful, and clearly executed with pride. I absolutely love the final result and would wholeheartedly recommend Krech Exteriors for any exterior home improvement project.
