This has to be the worst roofing company in the business. Do not trust them for an instant. They sent a charismatic salesman who sold us on ridge vents that we later learned were not necessary. They then used shoddy materials, didn't re-shingle properly around the vent (didn't use a starter strip) and globbed tar to hide what they had done. Three years later when the tar dried and receded, rainwater started coming in, causing in excess of a $100,000 insurance bill and necessitating a six month hotel stay (with a toddler, while also pregnant). The owner could not have been worse through all this, refusing to take our calls, accept responsibility or pass the claim to his insurance company until we threatened legal action with a structural engineer's report proving his company's fault. Utterly horrendous experience. Note: We've noticed prior years' negative reviews disappear off of KLZ's Google ratings for some unknown reason. Please be sure to consult other review sites as unfortunately there are numerous concerning reviews elsewhere detailing experiences similar to ours. Thanks for your time.

We are sorry to hear that you remain dissatisfied with your experience. For clarity, this work was originally completed in 2011 after we were called to address an existing ice damming issue in the home. At that time, we implemented corrective measures intended to improve ventilation and airflow based on the conditions present. Despite these efforts, the solution did not fully resolve the underlying issues within the structure. In 2015, after further concerns were raised, a formal insurance claim was opened through our liability insurance provider. The matter was independently reviewed and resolved through our insurer, who completed and covered the approved repairs in 2015 in accordance with their findings. We stand behind our response at each stage, including engaging our insurance provider and cooperating fully with the claims process. While we understand that property issues can be frustrating, this review was posted in 2023—more than a decade after the original work was completed and several years after the matter had already been resolved through the insurance process. We remain committed to professionalism, accountability, and addressing any legitimate concerns in a fair and documented manner. — Management

Fantastic experience with this KLZ ROOFING. The owner Kirk was super professional and respectful to my wife and I, breaking down every cost to benefit us. The crew was super polite and quick workers and only took 5 days to replace my roof and siding for a bungalow. Great company, would 100% recommend this to everyone.

Great service, had them shingle my roof. They were fast, friendly and did a great job. They did the job while I was work and left my yard nice and clean like they were never there. Highly recommend them!!

KLZ was recommended to me by a relative, and Kirk's team did excellent work on the siding and eavestroughs for my house. I'd happily recommend them to anyone. (2025) Edit: Used KLZ again, this time for re-shingling my garage roof. Work was done in a single day, and dead on for the quote. Still happy to recommend them. (2026)

Excellent team. Since we were flexible with dates they completed the work 2 weeks earlier than scheduled. Communication was excellent from initial contact, during installation, and follow-up. Referred them to my parents who were also pleased at quick turnaround, competitive pricing, and their professionalism. Thank you KLZ Roofing and Exteriors!

These guys were on time every day and did a fantastic job on both our garage and house roof, despite the underlying issues from when our house was built. The chimney had to be redone as well, which was not in the original plan but we are thrilled with it. Kirk and his team were absolutely a breath of fresh air to deal with. We highly recommend them!

Used KLZ twice now. Once for the roof & next for eaves/fascia/soffits. Both times work quality was excellent. Employees very personable & knowledgeable in explaining what they were doing. Clean up was just like they were never there.

Thank you for taking the time to leave this—we really appreciate it. It’s great to hear you’re happy with how everything turned out on your roof and eaves. The team works hard to make sure the details are done right—straight lines on the shingles, solid clean installs on the eaves, and a jobsite that’s left spotless when we’re done—so feedback like this means a lot to everyone involved. We also know having work done on your home can feel disruptive, so we’re glad the process felt smooth, professional, and easy to deal with from start to finish. That’s exactly what we aim for—clear communication, respect for your property, and work you don’t have to worry about once we leave. We’ll make sure Kirk and the crew see this—always good for them to hear directly from homeowners. Thanks again for putting your trust in KLZ Roofing.

The whole process of quote, consultation and the work itself was excellent and professional. The crew ensured that the yard was cleaned at the end of each day. The roof looks great! Throughout the process, Kirk discussed anything that went beyond the initial scope, explaining what could/should need to be done; informative, without pressure to add on extras. It was a pleasure working with KLZ roofing.
