Klaus Roofing did a roof for me last year and their local branch closed and corporate office or other branches will not honor their workmanship or material

Hi Bill, thank you for reaching out. We are truly sorry to hear about the Columbus location closing. However, we believe there has been a misunderstanding regarding our business. Klaus Roofing Systems of Cincinnati is independently owned and operated. We are not affiliated with the Columbus company that performed your installation, and we do not share ownership, records, or warranty obligations with them. For clarity, our office has not moved or closed; we have been operating consistently at our current location. Because we are a separate legal entity, we do not have access to your original contract or the authority to honor warranties issued by another business. We recommend perhaps checking your original paperwork for any manufacturer-specific warranties on the materials themselves, as those may still be valid even if the original installer is no longer in business. We sincerely hope you are able to find a resolution quickly.

I had my roofing done with Klaus Roofing Columbus and before you decide to get work done with them just know that the warranty doesn't carry over if they close their office!! The leak in my roof that is not even a year old won't be covered by Klaus Roofing because it was issued from that specific office that has since closed. Which, by the way, I was told that they were moving offices and NO ONE told me that it would impact my warranty. I originally had no issues, but now I am wishing that I did not use this company because I am being held accountable for something that should not be in the cards for a brand new roof! I would have left this review on the Columbus location, but I cannot do that since it is closed now and no longer exists on Google. I just think this is something important for homeowners to know!

We contracted Klaus Roofing for some roof, flashing, and gutter problems we had on our home. The pricing was considered good for what we were getting, or at least was considered a good price at time of contract signing. The crew that showed up at our property was David (Site Supervisor) and Ricky the head of the "crew". During the initial inspection we were told that a supervisor/Project Mgr. would be onsite all of the time the crew was there, and we later found out this is NOT the case. The crew to me seemed very disorganized and did things haphazardly with little to no safety in mind. We were told at the inspection that they would be picking up after each day and running a magnet for screws, nails, and sharp items. We NEVER saw that happen and there was very little effort in picking up after themselves each day! We presented a sandwich bag full of sharp items such as screws and nails to David, David told my wife he was going to issue her a gift card, but that never happened! The job was supposed to be a 2-3-day job and became somewhat of a nightmare that lasted 11 weeks. Initially they were finished on 8/13/2024, which there were many problems that not only myself recognized being in the project management business, but my wife also picked up on. There was a list of notable issues to be fixed that should have been caught during install. Most of the issues were bent or wavy metal on the facia boards and the way they terminated the metal at the ends was below standard and what I called "sloppy". Other issues included terminating soffit vinyl into an existing painted, crown molding that not only looked bad, but also presented as a future maintenance issue. Also, soffit vinyl was loose in many areas and still is. The crew came back to fix the issues and in doing so created other issues and damage to newer house siding vinyl installed. During installing the facia covering they found areas that the facia board needed to be replaced. I gave them the green light to replac

Long review, but if you’re trying to find a good roofing contractor please read! I found major ventilation and efficiency issues with the roof of our home. I spent a solid two months researching contractors and getting quotes. Comparing everything from service, timing, and warranty. Klaus was extremely easy to schedule, a couple weeks out for the quote but it was well worth the wait. I had numerous quote appointments with contractors in and out, texting all the time, getting pictures etc. There were several times I’d meet a reputable contractor, they would do a fast 20 min inspection. Claiming to send a quote in the next 72 hrs and would never send any other correspondence or return my calls. Or if they did, it would be more of a bandaid for the issues and not a solution. My rep Josh with Klaus was DIFFERENT! He spent hours at my house with me. Checking every square inch of attic and exterior. He wrote the quote up in his truck and was back with me in under an hour. He walked through every detail of the job and gave me solutions to every issue I found and was concerned about. Health and safety of my family is my top priority, Josh was the first representative to say he cared, and actually follow through with it. The warranty is outstanding, in all my research this is by far the best I have found. Was this my cheapest quote? No I wont lie and say it was. However, I value quality over saving a few bucks. The roof and proper ventilation/insulation is VITAL, so a 50 year warranty and peace of mind is worth its weight in gold. They finished my roof today. New insulation, new venting, new decking! Ethan was my PM onsite. He was professional, thorough, extremely kind. Also took the time to walk through the job with me several times as it was progressing. Any issues or questions were resolved immediately. I cant say enough good things about this company. My house feels amazing, my AC is already only running half as much as it was. If you're on the fence, definitely choose

Klaus did my roof last fall and we were very happy! Very thorough from estimate & inspection to replacement and cleanup. I referred my mother to Klaus and she went with them also. Josh was great with a thorough inspection and explanation for my 82 year old mother to understand and to feel comfortable making the decision.
