  We had hired JL Roofing in August of 2019 to do the roof of our housing Complex.They came out and on the first day of work they backed a trailer into the side of the house punching a hole all the way through the wall even knocking a thermostat off of the wall on the inside of the house. The owner of JL Roofing came and looked at the damage and said he would take care of all the damages. They did a temporary patch on the outside and left. Once the job was complete we never saw them again. We tried contacting them multiple times and they ignored our calls. We had to file it through the insurance company WHICH THEY STILL FOUGHT! Claiming that they subcontracted the work to someone else. Also Afterwards tiles would fall off the roof randomly. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

  Called for roof shingle estimate knowing the shingles I wanted - was explicit to whom I spoke I was not going to be home when person came out to measure, but was available by phone or email for any questions. Asked them to leave quote or call me with it as 2 other roofers had done. Someone came out, measured the roof and left. No further contact for 2 weeks when I receive email stating they were trying to reach me. No one called, left voice mail or email with the quote. Too late, I chose another roofer even though this company was recommended by a friend. If you're unresponsive for quotes, why take chance you're unresponsive after the job is complete

  Gave us a hard time blaming our ac guy for gutter issues. It was jl responsibility to run ac pipe to the gutter. Do your homework

  MUST READ: Poor craftsmanship and lack of integrity. My siding "repair" came undone not more than a year later. Face nailing was obviously not secured to a nail base, after I specifically told the gentleman it was foam board sheathing. I contacted them for a repair of the repair and the new proposal was more than the original for half the work, even with a "repeat customer discount". Thanks for giving me a discount on repeat work you shoddily performed? This was all from the Director of Residential Operations, Cambrie. She also gave me two reasons (excuses) that it failed, along with slipping in a "No labor warranty" this time. I've since had an actual tradesperson repair it correctly for less. Don't trust the bloated rating either, you can see their own employees are giving it 5 ⭐.

  Got an appointment (for a week later) for an estimator to come out to provide a quote for new gutters and gutter guard. Tina from the office called and left me a message at 8:10AM the morning of the appointment (8:30AM appointment)to inform me that the representative was tied up on another job and they are still shorthanded and would not be able to make the appointment. The message said that if it was ok for them to come out the next day that there was no need to call them back and that she would phone me later in the day to tell me what time they could come out. I did not receive a call back by 4:40PM that day so I called and got their answering service, I left a message to phone me back within 20 minutes or please forget about coming out to give me an estimate as I do not want to deal with a company that lacks regard for their customers / prospects.

  We were made to take off our attic fan when we installed a new roof. We were told that the “ridge” technology would make the fan redundant. However ventilation is bad and roof has been spongy. Now we are told that we need to put the fan back on, but we have to bear the cost of the fan and electrical installation .

  Great experience working with Mauricio and his staff. I had water issues in my basement and after they replaced all the gutters on my house my basement is bone dry. These guys know what they are doing. They do exceptional work and at a reasonable price. Not many folks left like this around and would highly recommend giving them a call.

  JL is the best. From Jennifer in the office to Mauricio on site making sure everything is going to plan. The guys left the site spotless. Not a single nail was found after the job. What a great company. The new roof on our performing arts center is a true work of art.

  New roof put on with very good craftmanship and cleanup. Installed Roof tiles from Owens Corning rated highly by Consumer Reports. Wind rating greater than local code and gives reserve for future climate change. Plywood replacements done per agreement.

  JL Roofing replaced our existing roof this April. We were pleased with the entire process from initial quote to the job completion. Our contact, Cambrie, was knowledgeable, thorough, and took the time to explain the process in detail and answer questions that we had. We felt confident that the job would be done correctly and with care. The roofing team was also knowledgeable and hard-working and gave us a beautiful roof. They took care to protect the foliage around the house and did a fabulous job of cleaning up when the job was complete. We highly recommend JL roofing.

  Received several quotes, 6 to be exact. Jacob the owner came in with the best price and he used top of the line products, two new skylights, gutters and new chimney cover. His company is a GAF certified installer. Jacob installed UHDz 3/4inch plywood which is thicker than recommended. I’d highly recommend his work.
