  Awful to work with. I was given a 4-6 week time frame. It took them over 8 weeks to install my door. They never returned calls and constantly said "its the supplier". They would say they will call back with an update but never did!

Unfortunately, in this case, we were heavily dependent on the supplier for the delivery of the door, and the delays were outside of our direct control. That said, we recognize that regardless of the circumstances, we could have done a better job keeping you updated throughout the process and following through on callbacks and communication. We sincerely apologize. We always strive to provide a smooth and positive experience for every homeowner, and we regret that we fell short here.   We had a deeply disappointing experience with Preferred Home Improvement. While they were working on our neighbor's deck, we noticed debris, including wood pieces, dust, and other materials, left on our side, which was already concerning. However, what was more alarming was the additional damage caused to our deck. Our deck has been deemed unsafe by an engineer, and any further damage could result in catastrophic failure. Despite having photos of our deck with the damage, the owner of Preferred Home Improvement showed up with an attitude that was both condescending and dismissive. When I initially called and spoke with Alex and Mike, I even joked that maybe they could give us a quote for our deck when we're ready to get it done, giving them the benefit of the doubt and hoping they would make things right. Instead of addressing our concerns professionally, the owner questioned why he was even there, given the existing condition of our deck. This is unacceptable behavior from any business, let alone one whose employees caused damage and left debris on our property. We were essentially accused of trying to get a "free job" out of the situation, which was not only insulting but also completely unfounded. We are beyond disappointed with the lack of professionalism and the disrespect shown by the owner. We will be pursuing a formal complaint with the BBB and will be bringing this issue to the attention of our HOA. We expected better and would caution anyone considering this company for their home improvement needs. ----UPDATE AS OF 10/17--- We have recv'd a reply from BBB which further goes to make a joke out of us. We never made a joke to get a FREE deck, we said we need a quote for a deck as in a paid quote and if you’d be here fixing what your workers broke, we would asked you for a deck quote. Again, an unfounded and degrading remark. We would like this resolved ASAP. Please reach out to us/reply to our email since you advised you would like to resolve this.

  Getting a quote from these guys takes special abilities apparently. I called them, explained the project, and was advised to email pictures. I happily emailed the pics, and was told I would get a response within a week. A week goes by with no response, and so I called them again to ask about the email. Apparently the email was lost to the ether of the internet, and was told to email a different email address while on the phone. She magically received that one, and I was told they would review and get back to me the next day. Well, the next day never came, and its been weeks so I am no longer interested in working with this company.

  I called Preferred to come give us an estimate for some work we were considering having done on our property and was disturbed with my experience. First, let me say that the individual answering the phones, Jessica, was lovely. Originally they were scheduled to come at 1:30 on a thursday afternoon, however, when we found that they were INSISTENT on having my husband at the appointment (seemed very masogynistic to be honest), we requested that they come between 8:30-10am to accommodate his schedule. I mentioned to Jessica that we needed to know when exactly someone would be coming as we have two young children to take care of (a 3 yr old and a 5 week old infant) and she stated that either she or Mike, the owner, would call before arriving. Never happened. He came at 9am (They were very helpful in that regard but that was all that was really done right) but we never got a call (he said he didn't know he was supposed to - communication is lacking perhaps!?) and our son (3yr old) was in the middle of breakfast upon his arrival. Due to this, I was unable to be present for much of the meeting. Sooo, Mike spoke to my husband about the things we needed as I ran in and out of the house to check on our son. Now, I've met with every other contractor solo (no other contractor insisted a man be there - go figure), so I knew what they had said and recommended previously. When I came back out, Mike asked exactly what we were looking on doing (we still aren't sure as we may not be in the house long term) and I asked if we could just do the ridge vent and not the soffit repair we had discussed. He looked at me and said (and I QUOTE) "YOU'RE NOT LISTENING" and explained why we needed both repairs. Now..first of all, I had not been present at that part of their discussion since I was running into the house to check on our kid so listening wasn't an issue Mike.. , but more importantly, you should NEVER say that to a client. It was rude and both my husband and I were very taken aba

  We love preferred home improvement!! We had to urgently convert our dining room into a bedroom for an elderly family member. I called and Mike came out THE SAME DAY to take measurements and within a week we had a bedroom. The workers were so kind and made sure to take into account all of our grandmother’s needs. They took care of everything from protecting our flooring to cleaning up. PHI understood our circumstances and got right to work. It took such a worry off our shoulders! They even made it temporary so that it will be easy to convert back one day. We have two more projects in the works and I can’t wait to see how they turn out. We will always use preferred!!

  Preferred home did an excellent job with our home exterior project from siding to the stone wall to the gutters and front porch. Mike the owner was so responsive to all questions and requests and really cared about how it looked. Even had to wait until our new door was delivered and worked around the scheduling issues. They were prompt, worked long days to get the job done quickly and the final product exceeded our expectations.

  Great service. Knowledgeable staff. High quality work done on time for the agreed price. Overcame a manufacturing issue (not their fault) got I fixed quickly with no significant delays. I have and will recommend them to my neighbors.

  We recently had our roof replaced by Preferred Home Improvement, in Willow Grove. We couldn't be happier with the results. From the initial consultation to the final inspection, their team was incredibly professional. They took the time to explain the hidden damages and provided photo documentation, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. The installation crew was punctual, worked efficiently, and did an amazing job in setting up and cleaning up all the debris at the end of the day. I had peace of mind that there was a job well done.   We contracted PHI to do a substantial home renovation which included ripping down stucco, putting up vinyl siding, replacing every window, and installing new soffits, gutters, and downspouts. This was a big project with a lot of details to get right. From the start, Brian came out and had a very in depth discussion about what we wanted and provided us with a detailed breakdown on costs as well as a computer mockup of what our home would look like after the renovation which helped us visualize the end result. We tweaked the proposal many times before signing the contract (plus a few times after), and the communication was always fast and informative. Once the work actually started, the workers did a great job of caring for our property to make sure nothing was damaged. The team worked faster than I expected, with the entire project lasting about 12 working days (5 of which were dedicated to removing the stucco). Everyone involved was friendly and the foreman, Patrick, was very helpful when issues arose. The entire project didn't go off without a hitch, there were a few minor headaches along the way (as I'm sure there would be with any project this size), but what sets PHI apart is how they went the extra mile to remedy those issues. The end result is fantastic and we have a house which we won't have to worry about for a long long time.

  We contracted PHI to re-side our entire home, replace all windows, add two small roofs above our garage doors and side door and replace our front door arch and damaged posts. They did a fantastic job, with the end-product being much better than we had imagined. The crew was on-site early each day and were courteous and very clean in moving in and out of the house. They moved quickly with the bulk of the project being completed within 7 work days. They were proactive in replacing any wallboard that was damaged and did very nice work around hose bibs, removing stucco work and turns in the siding. Mike and his team were very responsive in addressing our questions and worked with us to finalize the roof design, which we are thrilled with. Special thanks to Patrick and Rashad for answering our many questions throughout the project and offering opinions and options -- the team was very flexible to changes throughout the project. The contract estimate was solid and we only had a couple adjustments based on scope changes that we had agreed on. We would definitely recommend PHI, very happy with the work.

  Cannot recommend this company enough. Great communication from the home office on down to Patrick, the project manager. The crew was fantastic. Extremely happy with the siding work that they provided. Each day, the crew made sure to clean up the work site before they left for the day. They arrived when they said they would and didn't start the job only to disappear midway through. Patrick was reliable and a strong communicator and a pleasure to deal with.

  We had Hardie board installed in the peak of the summer heat with a work crew that never stopped. They finished the job in 16 days of intense summer heat and humidity with heat indexes over 105 degrees. Craftsmanship was excellent with no gaps or openings like a Zip Lock bag. They replaced rotted wood around our windows and sealed the chimney and rooflines to make it appear as a new home with unsolicited likes from our neighbors. The foreman with his 15-year experience and pride in his work made me feel confident our money was well spent. Brian, our salesman also remained on the job constantly answering questions with quick responses via text. His professional follow-up assured our satisfaction of the job. Quality workmanship for a lasting experience.

  We had a wonderful experience with Preferred Home Improvement! They replaced and installed all of our windows and completely transformed the front of our home from stucco to Hardie board. The results are absolutely beautiful, and we couldn’t be happier. From start to finish, every member of the team treated our home with great care and respect. The crew was courteous, hardworking, and incredibly attentive to detail. They kept us informed throughout the entire process and were always willing to listen to our questions and even adjust the scope when we requested changes. At the end of each day, everything was thoroughly cleaned up, which we truly appreciated. It was clear they took pride in their work and genuinely wanted to make sure we were happy with the results.   Mike and his team recently did our whole house window replacement. The team was fantastic; timely, professional, and incredibly proficient. This company installs windows the "correct" way, not just as a replacement. Mike was always very responsive with my questions and concerns and takes true pride in ensuring his customers are fully satisfied. Their workmanship was stellar, ensuing a perfect fit and weatherproofing for each window. They were very considerate in cleaning everything up after the job was complete. I fully recommend Preferred Home Improvements for anyone looking for windows, or any exterior project.
