  Earlier this year, my subdivision was hit by hail. Although 7 other homes nearby have had full roof replacement from this storm, my insurance company adjuster only allowed for patching and a partial replacement. I saw Daech & Bauer's sign and called. I explained the situation with my insurance and asked Jeramie for a bid for a full replacement. He assured me he could work with the insurance and get a better settlement as there was more damage than what they allowed for. After receiving other bids, they were the lowest. After many attempts to contact their rep Jeramie I gave up. Weeks later another person, William, from D&B showed up wanting to know if I needed any roof repairs. I informed him I had a bid from D&B but wasn't receiving any response from Jeramie. He said Jeramie had quit. No one notified us of this. After being assured that 9 out of ten times, he could get a better settlement from insurance, we eventually agreed to sign a contract with D&B. William looked over the bid given to us by Jeramie and told us it was measured wrong. He told us it would be an additional $1,100. This was still a little less than other bids so we signed and gave a check for half the cost with the rest due at completion. Within a couple days we received a call from William saying the estimate was still too low and our original bid of $6,500, that had climbed to $7,600, was now $11,000. This was substantially higher than bids from other companies. I asked for and received my check back. The insurance company still hasn't budged on their settlement claiming they didn't receive the additional proof requested from D&B meaning, 80% of the cost is still out of my pocket.

  We are in receipt of the written complaint from Ms. Gibbons on her parent’s vacant home. We are very disappointed that we have been unsuccessful in not making her a satisfied customer & any stress this matter has caused her. We respectfully disagree with the underlying premise of her accusations that we are a “shadow company” that is not honoring our commitment to its customers. In fact, our team tried to provide her extra care, due to the fact she was very stressed about the insurance claims process, recent passing of her father & having a mother that was seriously ill. Our team has worked hard to provide her excellent customer service throughout the roofing project. She has a balance due with our company in the amount of $1239.83. Our team has communicated with her throughout the entire process as documented by the numerous phone & email records. As the owner, I personally spoke with both her and a representative on Friday 4/12 for over ½ hour listening to her concerns and discussing with them numerous possible resolutions. I asked her directly, “what can I do to make you satisfied & bring this to conclusion”? She refused to offer any ideas and told me to come up with something. I offered several customers friendly solutions in order to avoid any further time and expense on both parties to which she refused. She is satisfied with the quality and appearance of the project itself which has been inspected by someone she chose. I explained to her either our company or the supplier (but not both) retain the right to file a lien in the amount of balance owed until this matter is settled which is what the letter from them clearly states. There was no lien filed on her property. This letter is required to be sent according to Illinois Lien Law in order for a supplier to reserve the right to file a lien in the future. Due to the fact this concerned her greatly, I offered to have the supplier provide her a lien release, with us retaining our lien rights, if she

  Estimate and work with insurance company took a month. Latest estimate of actual repair is 6 months.

  I had a small roofing repair need and Jacobs came out and did the job quickly efficiently and effectively. Kent and Zane were great. They even pressure washed my sunroom roof and cleaned the gutters after the repair. We have used Jacobs for two big jobs and a couple of small ones and they have come through with flying colors every time. I could not endorse them higher, as five stars as all it allows.

  The workers were very hard working and cleaned up great after the job was complete. They worked hard in keeping things cleaned up as the day progressed. Very pleased with the workers and the cleanup.

  This company is OUTSTANDING!! They even found a vinyl match for my chipped siding that had to be replaced. It was not easy to find!! Thank you!!

  These folks are very professional, had a leak by chimney and while up repairing the leak he checked and repaired several other potential leak areas. Was very thorough and professional. I highly recommend this company.

  Their project for our home was delayed due to a number of circumstances not related to their service or performance. Every associate, especially Natalie Marsh, treated us with the upmost respect and handled all situations in a very professional manner.

  Ryan S from Daech & Bauer worked closely with our insurance co to make certain we received the best possible service. Natalie M in the office coordinated the project through every phase-- roof, gutters, siding, painting. Kevin P, Laura V and Dave B did an excellent job with the sun room repairs! Like a "new" house--

  I recently had a roof put on by Daech and Bauer Roofing. I was very pleased with the Outcome. From start to finish the whole process was quick and simple. The crew did an amazing job and was very cautious of my landscaping. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a new roof. The whole staff and crew were very professional. Hard to find companies like this now days!
