While we won’t engage in personal matters publicly, we will say that this situation does not reflect the standard of service, professionalism, or integrity that Accredited Roofing is known for throughout the community. Our company has successfully helped hundreds of homeowners through complex insurance restoration projects, and we pride ourselves on delivering a 5-star experience built on communication, accountability, and results. DO NOT ISE THIS COMPANY IF YOU VALUE YOUR PROPERTY!!! FIR LEGAL REASONS THIS IS MY OPINION!!! I’d give 0 stars if it was an option! The house next door had them replace their roof and they threw EVERYTHING in my yard! No tarp under the material that was in my yard! No knock from Josh the Forman of the crew to say they might need to use my yard. And when approached he thought it was funny!!!! AGAIN DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU VALUE YOUR PROPERTY!!!

    Reply from the business

Thank you for sharing your concerns. Even though you were not our direct customer, we still take feedback from neighbors very seriously because we believe every project should reflect respect for the entire community surrounding the home we are working on. During the roof replacement next door, our crew did have protective tarps in place along the property line to catch debris as material was removed. The roof being replaced had a significant amount of tear-off material, and as debris accumulated throughout the day it understandably may have appeared that there were no tarps underneath. However, tarps were placed beneath the work area and were used as part of our standard protection process. All debris was fully cleaned and removed before the end of the workday. We also want to acknowledge your frustration regarding communication. You reached out multiple times within a short period, and our team did return your call and worked to address the concerns you raised. Regardless of the circumstances, we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or stress this situation caused you. That was certainly not our intention. Your feedback is valuable because it highlights areas where we can continue to improve—particularly with proactive communication to neighboring properties when a roof replacement is underway. That is something we will reinforce with our team moving forward. Accredited Roofing was built on the principle of serving our community with professionalism, respect, and accountability. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and helping us continue to grow.

Hello, We are genuinely confused by this review and want to address it professionally and transparently. Accredited Roofing is a roofing and exterior restoration contractor specializing in roof inspections, hail damage assessments, roof repair for storm and wind damage, full roof replacement, gutter installation, siding replacement, and exterior home improvement services. We do not conduct “computer screening calls,” nor do we provide employment-related estate services. Based on the wording of this review, we are unsure whether this feedback was intended for our company. We take customer service, communication, and professionalism very seriously. If you were attempting to contact us regarding a roofing estimate, roof inspection, insurance claim support, gutter repair, siding replacement, or storm damage restoration, we would sincerely appreciate additional clarification so we can properly investigate and address your concerns. If this review was left in error or intended for another company, we kindly ask that it be reviewed and corrected. If you did interact with a member of our team, please contact us directly with the date, phone number used, and details of the conversation so we can evaluate the situation and improve our systems if necessary. My mom had a bad experience regarding communication, scheduling, and being informed about the available material options. After questioning the material options, they lied and said we picked something else when we didn't decide, and then they realized (months later) they had dropped off the wrong information on the materials. The whole process took months of back and forth communication, sometimes going days without responses, and ultimately, no roof or siding was installed. We went through the insurance company by ourselves and had money dropped off. After considering everything, we pulled out, despite the other reviews. The only positive was when we initially called, they sent someone out who looked at the leak, took pictures, and caulked around it, along with educating me on what had happened that other contractors didn't.

    Reply from the business

First, thank you for taking the time to share this. We take feedback like this very seriously. If your mom experienced confusion around communication, scheduling, or material options, that is on us. Clear documentation, accurate material selection confirmation, and consistent follow-up are our responsibility. If incorrect information was delivered or not clarified quickly, we own that mistake. There is no excuse for miscommunication — especially when a homeowner is making important decisions about their roof and siding. Storm restoration and insurance coordination can sometimes involve back-and-forth communication with carriers, material suppliers, and production scheduling, but that should never result in days without response or uncertainty about what was selected. If we failed to provide timely updates or clear confirmation in writing, that falls short of our standard. We also acknowledge your point about material options. Selection changes and product availability must always be confirmed clearly and documented properly. If there was confusion regarding what was chosen versus what was discussed, that indicates a breakdown in our internal process. We regret that. At the same time, we appreciate you recognizing the initial emergency response — inspecting the leak, documenting damage, providing education, and performing a temporary seal to protect the home. That is part of our commitment to serve, regardless of whether a full project moves forward. Our company operates on accountability and fairness. When we fall short, we correct systems internally. Communication standards, documentation procedures, and scheduling transparency are critical in roofing and exterior restoration, and we continually refine those processes to prevent situations like this. If your mom is open to it, we would welcome the opportunity to speak directly, review what happened in detail, and ensure any remaining concerns are fully addressed. Even if you have chosen another direction, cla

While the crew was very polite and efficient, please ask for team experience. We requested them to put rubber roofing on our roof flats in 2018 because it is a low maintenance 30+ year roofing option for our house. Last year during a wind storm a section blew up and we learned that the roof was not installed correctly. We were told there was no warranty on the roof at that time. Steve offered to pay for materials and we had to pay labor. Only the section that blew up was addressed. In a late 2024 storm another section had blown off and we have 4 more sections that are spongy. In less than 10 years, we will have to pay for the same roof to be replaced twice. Please ask what their experience is before letting them do a job!

On the second day of my roofing job with Accredited, the office manager called to tell me the crew had ALREADY used 600’ of lumber to repair bad wood on my roof and that would be a $5,600 addition to my bill. Unbeknownst to her, I had pictures and measurements of all the repairs up to that point and told her that was impossible. When the job was finished they lowered the amount of wood used to 300’ (it was actually about 100’) but would not even discuss my pictures or measurements. They knew I needed a lien waiver and refused to give it to me unless I paid their inflated bill. This is the most dishonest company I’ve ever dealt with.

    Reply from the business

Tim, We take a one-star review and an accusation of dishonesty extremely seriously. If you left this experience feeling pressured, unheard, or overcharged, that is something we need to address directly and transparently. Let’s first speak to the lumber concern. During roof tear-off, it is common to uncover deteriorated decking or structural wood that cannot be seen during the initial inspection. When that happens, additional lumber replacement may be required to bring the roof system back to code and manufacturer standards. However, the quantity used must always be documented clearly and communicated accurately before final billing. If there was confusion between 600 linear feet, 300 linear feet, and what you believe was closer to 100 linear feet, that signals a breakdown in documentation, internal reporting, or communication. That is not something we dismiss. If our field reporting and office communication did not align with what was actually installed, that deserves review — not dismissal. Regarding lien waivers: it is standard practice in the construction industry to issue a final lien waiver once the agreed contract balance is satisfied. That said, the amount due must be accurate and defensible. If you felt the balance was inflated and that you were not given a fair opportunity to review supporting documentation, we understand why that would create frustration. We do not operate with the intention of inflating bills or withholding documentation unfairly. Our process requires material tracking, supplier invoicing, and job cost verification. If that process was not presented clearly to you, or if there was a refusal to review your photos and measurements, then we failed in communication. We stand by the quality of our roof installations, including proper decking replacement when required to ensure structural integrity. But quality workmanship must be paired with transparent documentation and open dialogue. We would welcome the opportunity to sit down, revie

I feel like I need to share a review because I seem to be an outlier. I used this company from a recommendation and all of the reviews were good but my experience was not. I had a tree fall on my house and I hired them for the roofing and interior damage on my house. They did good work however they contracted the repair out to someone else and those particular people were at my home until 830 PM and then knocked on my door angry about not getting payment. I knew nothing about this and Steve was kind enough to come by my house and take care of it but it was incredibly unprofessional and very uncomfortable as a home owner. They ended up having to redo all the work those people did which just meant more days I had to deal with my roof being repaired. I'm not sure how those people got hired but if I had another choice I would have just told Accredited to not come back and I would find someone else to finish the job. Then they had an interior guy come in to fix the holes in my kitchen and yes he did a good job but he was late both days and I had to move my schedule around the second day to accommodate him coming by. These may seem like trivial problems to some but with having roof repairs done before these are never problems I have dealt with with other companies. I felt I should share my experience with this company and maybe mine is the only poor experience. I wish I could give them a better review or recommend them to other people but unfortunately I cant. Steve was helpful and I appreciate that but I really did not have a good experience with this company.

I am very sorry that you’re upset Andrew, truth is you refused to go back and fix problems on a job that you installed. That’s what Google reviews are for when someone refuses to fix their problems it gives you an opportunity to tell others about them. And I stop using your services because of that exact reason. My advice for you is to go back and fix any issues on jobs that you installed but that’s my advice for any contractor. Good luck to you Andrew I hope you find that doing good work and standing behind it is the only way. Steve Bovinett Accredited Roofing

Ekundayo, thank you so much for taking the time to leave Accredited Roofing this incredible five-star Google review and, most importantly, for trusting our team with such a significant exterior home improvement project for your family. It was truly a privilege to serve you and help bring several important areas of your East St. Louis, Illinois home back to where they needed to be. We especially appreciate you recognizing Adam and Gibby and the responsiveness you experienced from the initial roof assessment all the way through completion. Communication is a huge part of what we call the Accredited Roofing Five-Star Magical Experience. We believe homeowners should know what is happening with their project, understand the work being performed, and feel confident that the roofing contractor they hired is looking out for their home, their family, and their investment. Your project was a great example of why we take a comprehensive approach to exterior home improvements. Our team completed a full roof replacement, including the necessary roof decking work, along with a complete gutter and downspout replacement and an aluminum siding repair. Rather than addressing just one piece of the exterior, we were able to help create a more complete roofing and water-management system for your home. We are particularly grateful that you mentioned completing the work within budget. Whether someone needs a complete roof replacement, roof repair, storm damage inspection, gutter replacement, downspout replacement, siding repair, or roof decking work, our goal is to clearly explain the available options and help the homeowner make a decision that makes sense for their property and budget. Thank you as well for recommending Accredited Roofing for roof replacement and roof decking work. Recommendations like yours mean a tremendous amount to our entire team. Samson, thank you for this outstanding five-star Google review and for trusting Accredited Roofing with your home in St. Louis, Missouri 63121. Your comments mean a great deal to our entire team, especially because you came to us after experiencing significant frustration with other repair contractors in the St. Louis area. Earning your confidence and becoming the quality partner you were looking for is exactly the type of customer journey we work hard to create. A leaking roof can quickly become much more than a roofing problem. Once water begins penetrating the roof system, homeowners can find themselves dealing with damaged decking, insulation, ceilings, drywall, and other interior finishes. That is why we were pleased that Nick and our team were able to respond quickly, identify the source of your roof leak, answer your questions, and get the necessary roof repairs completed within just a few days. We also appreciate you recognizing the communication Nick provided throughout the process. At Accredited Roofing, we believe a professional St. Louis roofing contractor should do more than simply show up and perform a repair. Homeowners deserve clear answers, timely communication, professional recommendations, and a team that follows the project all the way through to completion. Your project is a great example of our comprehensive approach to roofing and exterior repairs. In addition to addressing the roof leak and completing the roof repair, our team also performed gutter cleaning and gutter repairs to help improve the home’s water-management system. Because the leak had already caused damage inside the home, we were also able to address the resulting interior ceiling damage. Thank you for specifically recognizing Dave and the quality of his interior work. Dave, Nick, and the rest of the Accredited Roofing team understand that getting a project to the finish line means taking responsibility for the entire customer experience—not simply repairing the shingles and

Christopher, thank you for this outstanding five-star Google review and for trusting Accredited Roofing with the roof repair and aluminum cladding work on your home in Fairview Heights, Illinois. We greatly appreciate your recommendation and especially appreciate you recognizing the responsiveness, communication, and workmanship you received throughout your project. Your project was a great example of why accurately diagnosing a roofing problem is so important. In addition to the necessary roof repair, there was an important wall transition below the windows that needed attention. Our team performed the necessary aluminum cladding and aluminum wrap work at that wall transition to properly terminate and protect the area. Details like roof-to-wall transitions, flashing, siding interfaces, and exterior cladding are critical because water doesn’t necessarily enter a home through the most obvious location. That’s why a thorough roof inspection is so important. Before recommending a repair, we want to understand where the vulnerability exists and determine the appropriate way to correct it. Simply applying sealant to a symptom without addressing the underlying transition can potentially leave the homeowner dealing with the same problem again. Christopher, we’re particularly grateful that you described the process as quick and hassle-free and mentioned that our crew even showed up early. We know homeowners have jobs, families, schedules, and responsibilities of their own. Hiring a roofing contractor shouldn’t mean spending days wondering when someone will arrive or repeatedly calling for updates. Our objective is to communicate, show up, complete the work professionally, and make the entire process as easy as possible. Your comments about Steve are also greatly appreciated. Hearing that he was friendly, helpful, informative, and responded right away whenever you had a question represents exactly how we want homeowners to be treated. After more than 23 years in the roo

Amy, thank you so much for this wonderful five-star Google review and for trusting Accredited Roofing with the roof repair on your home in Caseyville, Illinois. We greatly appreciate you recognizing both the fair pricing and the service Steve provided. Hearing that your experience was “amazing” means a tremendous amount to Steve and our entire Accredited Roofing team. During the inspection of your roof, we identified that the two neoprene soil pipe flashings had deteriorated and were beginning to leak. This is a relatively small component of a roofing system, but it’s an extremely important one. Plumbing vent pipes penetrate through the roof, and the flashing surrounding each penetration is designed to create a watertight seal. Over time, neoprene can deteriorate, crack, split, or lose its ability to properly seal around the pipe. Once that happens, water can begin working its way into the roofing system and potentially cause damage to the roof decking, insulation, ceilings, and interior of the home. The good news is that your problem was identified and could be addressed with a targeted roof repair rather than allowing those small leaks to develop into something significantly more expensive. That’s an important part of our philosophy at Accredited Roofing. Not every roofing problem requires a new roof. When a roof can be properly repaired, we want to identify the actual source of the problem, explain the available solution, and provide the homeowner with a fair and reasonable roof repair price. Our objective isn’t to make the project bigger than it needs to be. It’s to solve the roofing problem correctly and earn the homeowner’s trust. Your experience is exactly what we want our Five-Star Magical Experience to represent: professional diagnosis, straightforward communication, fair pricing, quality workmanship, and a team that genuinely cares about protecting the customer’s home. We especially appreciate you mentioning that you felt the roof repair was completed at a reasonable price. Providing homeowners with quality roofing solutions at a fair and transparent price is extremely important to us. Your roof had experienced wind damage from the April 2026 storms that impacted the St. Louis area, resulting in damaged asphalt shingles that needed professional attention. When shingles are lifted, loosened, creased, or blown away by high winds, those seemingly small areas can leave the roofing system vulnerable to water intrusion and additional damage if they aren’t properly addressed. Our goal was to provide you with a practical solution: identify the wind-damaged areas, perform the necessary asphalt shingle repairs, and restore the integrity of the affected portions of your roof without trying to turn a repairable situation into a larger project than necessary. That’s an important part of how we believe a professional roofing contractor in St. Louis, Missouri should operate. Sometimes a homeowner needs a complete roof replacement. Other times, a properly performed roof repair is the right solution. Our responsibility is to inspect the roof, explain what we find, provide appropriate options, and allow the homeowner to make an informed decision that works for their home and budget. We are especially grateful that your experience reflected good value. After more than 23 years in the roofing business, Accredited Roofing understands that earning a homeowner’s trust isn’t simply about completing the physical work. We appreciate the detailed feedback because you’ve touched on so many of the things we believe should be standard when a homeowner hires a professional roofing contractor. You mentioned that the owner himself was your contact, and that is something Steve takes tremendous pride in. After more than 23 years in the roofing business, he still enjoys meeting homeowners, inspecting roofs, diagnosing problems, explaining exactly what he sees, and helping customers determine the right solution for their homes. Staying connected to our customers keeps us connected to why Accredited Roofing exists in the first place: to serve people. We’re also glad you received your roof repair estimate the same day and felt the pricing was fair. Home repairs can already create enough uncertainty without homeowners waiting days for answers or wondering whether they’re being given the complete story. Your comments about Steve being knowledgeable, polite, and willing to explain everything without hiding anything are especially meaningful. Transparency is a major part of how we operate. A homeowner shouldn’t need to be a roofing expert to feel comfortable hiring a roofing company. It’s our responsibility to explain the condition of the roof, what needs attention, why we’re recommending a particular repair, and what the investment will be. Christine, thank you so much for taking the time to leave Accredited Roofing this wonderful five-star Google review! We truly appreciate you trusting our team with the vinyl siding repair on your home, and we especially appreciate you taking a moment to recognize Nick and the service he provided. Hearing you say that “Nick was awesome” and that he was friendly and helpful is exactly the type of feedback we love receiving. At Accredited Roofing, technical knowledge and quality workmanship are extremely important, but we believe the way our customers are treated is every bit as important as the repair itself. We were also glad Nick noticed the additional loose vinyl siding and took the time to tack it back into place for you. Sometimes it’s those extra details that make the biggest difference. Our philosophy is simple: if we’re already at a customer’s home and see something we can reasonably do to help, we want our team members looking for an opportunity to serve rather than looking the other way. That’s part of what we call the Accredited Roofing Five-Star Magical Experience. Vinyl siding plays an important role in protecting a home’s exterior from wind, rain, and the elements. When siding becomes loose, detached, cracked, or damaged, addressing the problem promptly can help prevent a relatively minor vinyl siding repair from developing into a larger exterior issue. Our goal is always to evaluate the problem carefully, explain what needs attention, and provide a practical repair solution whenever possible. After more than 23 years in business, we’ve learned that customers remember more than the finished project. They remember whether someone showed up, whether they listened, whether their questions were answered, whether they were treated respectfully, and whether the contractor cared enough to do the little things that weren’t necessarily expected. We believe a professional St. Louis roofing contractor should be willing to document what they find and explain it in straightforward language. We never want someone to feel pressured into a roof replacement simply because a salesperson says they need one. Where this page comes from

Every figure above is Google’s, captured on 24 September 2026. The star average and the 445 ratings behind it are counted by Google across all of its reviews. The review text on this page is a sample — we hold 445, of which 418 have any text — and it is not everything Google shows.

Roof Warden does not verify licenses, bonds, insurance or workers’ compensation cover, and nothing on this page should be read as though we had. Confirm those directly with the contractor and with your state or provincial licensing body before you hire anyone.
