  Strange experience. Company ghosted me after approving their estimate. I’ve wasted over 8 weeks trying to get this work done with no responses to my repeated inquiries. I requested a quote for a minor repair - Alan came out and gave a reasonable estimate for a few hours of work that I approved on the same day. He said we’d be taken care of within a few weeks. This was over two months ago, and it’s been complete radio silence. I’ve called both Alan and the main number listed for the business multiple times with voicemail, texted, and emailed. I even tried to give an out and asked if they no longer want to do the work and they can’t give me the courtesy of a response. I chose this company because of all the positive reviews and besides the initial consult my experience has been very frustrating/nonexistent. Would not recommend.

  Oct 29 2024 J.Robert roofing removed and installed a new roof on our home. This was not an insurance claim and we paid cash. January 21 2026 we received a letter from the city stating the permit was open and had not been closed. The letter stated there was not a final inspection and no photos on file of approved underlayment. I called Alan's cell # that week and left a voice mail. He returned my call a week later stating he was out of town and would take care of it. March 2026 I contacted the city and they stated the permit was still open and no action had been taken by J Robert roofing to take care of the issue. I called Alan's cell and the office # multiple times and left at least 3 voice mails. I did not get any response. This month (April 2026) I contacted the city again and asked what could be done to close the permit. They sent out an inspector. He inspected the work and raised concern that the proper photos were not on file and he could fully verify there is underlayment under all the shingles as required. He did get onto the roof and lifted several shingles in an attempt to see that is the case. The inspector did pass the inspection but when I received a copy it stated he could not verify that there is proper underlayment under the shingles and proper photos are not on file/presented. Now, this is public record that a perspective buyer of my house will have access to when selling the house in the future. No response from Alan or anybody else from the roofing company after I sent them an e mail with my concern. Maybe not a 5 star company?

  Alan and his team have done numerous repairs and additions to my roof. His knowledge and expertise is unparalleled.   Called J. Robert Roofing for an independent roof inspection. Alan was quick to respond, thorough on the roof, and followed up with a clear written summary the same day. Honest, professional, and clearly knows his stuff. He didn't try to upsell anything, just gave me a straight answer. Highly recommend.

  We are so happy we chose this contractor, which we discovered from a personal referral. Management is communicative, supportive, flexible, and highly ethical. They were great working with our insurance company. The crew was wonderful. One small anecdote: my kids and I came back from running errands while the crew was working - the crew stopped all activity and waited until we were inside before resuming. They took great care of our plants and cleaned up wonderfully - once they left there was no sign they were there.

  This company replaced our roofs and gutters for our entire 24 unit association. I have NEVER dealt with such an ethical company that really cared that we were satisfied with the job! Our bid was extremely thorough and prices were fair! Numerous unit owners would comment about the high quality of worked performed on their homes, as well as how hard the crew worked. We dealt with Alan and he was on the site everyday to help and be sure things went smoothly. He was highly professional and extremely thorough. I really can't say enough about this company! Trust me, we compared a handful of companies and you will NOT be disappointed if you choose them!

  I have hired J Robert Roofing two times so far. The first time I hired them I worked with Bob to reroof my home. They were very professional and did great work. Most recently I hired Alan to do a roof inspection for me before buying a property. This ended up being the right call as Alan found many issues. Alan wrote up a thorough report that was useful to ensure I was protected for the transaction. I would say if you are looking for anything related to roofing, then Alan is your guy. The next time I need roofing services they will receive my business. I recommend Alan and his crews without any doubt.

  I could not have been happier with the service that J. Robert Roofing provided for our new roof. They only run a few crews; so, you deal with the same person (the owner) at all phases, and they are on the roof directing the crew when installation is happening. We had a minor issue that was quickly addressed and resolved. We would highly recommend them, and would absolutely use them again.
