  WARNING ⚠️ CHECK THE REST BECAUSE INTERLOCK IS NOT THE BEST.We hired interlock roofing to install aluminum roof years ago which they did we require them to remove the old roof and plywood which we found out later they did not.We noticed in the spring of 2024 that the back of the roof was starting to sink we contact interlock and another couple roofing company about what is going on. The other companies sent out there technician no charge to inspect the attic and roof they said you have a mold problem on the plywood and your roof is sinking because of it and we only have 2 plastic vents on aluminum roof they said you're roof is almost 1700 square foot minimum vents for the square foot is 5 metal vents not plastic we are now getting EDUCATED ON ROOFING INSTALLATION.We contact interlock they said they would not charge us the service fee to send a technician to see what the issue are WOW WE FELT PRIVILEGE since we paid them lots of money to have a professional aluminum roofing installation done right, the technician went in the attic he went on the roof and concluded there is a problem with mold because he said you require more vents on the roof he said that would help with the mold i said thanks for the advice but I think we are past that now wouldn't you say. I call interlock spoke too a very nice lady she informed me that the technician said the vents were not the problem but the baffles were blocked by the insulation and the warranty wouldn't cover this WOW WHAT DOES LIFE TIME WARRANTY MEAN I guess not my life IF YOU DO NOT STAND BY YOUR PRODUCT AND WORKMANSHIP YOU SHOULD NOT OFFER LIFE TIME WARRANTY. We hired a great PROFESSIONAL ROOFING COMPANY to remove the aluminum roof plywood and shingles and install a new roof.The crew arrived on schedule and to their surprise they told me they found and removed 4 layers of shingles 2 layers of plywood no ice shield was put down but lots of interlock boxes nailed to the plywood thanks interlock for preventing all those boxe

  We installed this roof in 2003 and we attended the customer’s home in spring 2024 in response to a request for an inspection and service. Our service technician inspected the roof and found the roofing system to be intact and in good condition. He also inspected their attic space where he discovered that the air intake at the soffits/eaves appeared to be completely covered with insulation - he was not able to see any baffles along the perimeter. This would mean that ventilation normally provided by the soffits was nonexistent and this is what would lead to excessive condensation and mold in their attic. We advised the homeowners of our findings and confirmed that this was not a roofing issue but rather an issue that rests with the company that did the attic insulation.   I had this Roof installed July 2014, problems with leaking Jan 2015, 2021 leaking and inside damage, went through my home insurance now 2022 roof leaking into my living room again. This company does not want to deal with any problems once they have your money for the roof. Very hard to get them on phone and trying to get them out to inspect damage is a whole other problem. This time I am getting a lawyer. I expected more than 8 years from this roof, I would not recommend them.

  DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE WE DID!! If I could give zero stars I would. We spent $80,000 on an Interlock roof six years ago. Their horrendous workmanship and negligence has caused six figure damages to our house. It has leaked every year. It initially took a demand letter from our lawyer to have them come out, which was last year. It has since leaked again, and now they refuse to respond, refund us, or resolve the ongoing issues. See photos of just some of the damage caused and terrible workmanship. We're ripping this "Lifetime" roof off to seal our house, as Interlock is incapable or unwilling to doing so. DO NOT deal with Interlock. It has been a very expensive nightmare.

  It won't let me rate with zero stars (so I gave a one). Interlock was installed prior to our home purchase. We are currently in a renovation and had some tiles removed to extend the roof for the new reno (with additional new metal tiles). ALL work is done by contracted installers - not employed members of the company. NO response or EXTENDED DELAYED response to calls - even with a leak! Our roof is currently leaking where they removed tiles and we have been leaving messages for days with no response. AVOID if you want to have a dry home.

  The company did not put on my snow guards properly when the put on the roof. I had no idea about snow guards . Snow fell of my roof knocked me down and I had broken my shoulder and dislocated it. When I notified the company they came and put the snow guards on properly and charged me 600.00 and I paid it but is really was included in my original contract. In court you can not say the company did not do the job correctly. The case was thrown out.

  UPDATE: I’ve increased the rating from one star to two stars, because two of the issues have just recently been fixed (finally)... however, I’m still short snow guards. When we signed the contract for our roof, the salesman had agreed to include the guards needed for over the garage doors, man doors, and front porch. He had wrote down 36 guards. That was the contract we signed - for 36 guards. Unbeknownst to us, that was not nearly enough to put in the spots agreed to. As homeowners, how are we to know how many snow guards are actually required for the agreed upon spots? So now, it looks really dumb because the snow guards only run about half the length of the front porch and then just stop. Looks like we ran out of money and couldn’t afford the rest of the snow guards that were required to go the full length of the front porch. The company has declined to add the remaining guards at no cost and have insisted on a charge (something like $50+/guard), which I refuse to pay, because we’ve already shelled out an arm and a leg; have had nothing but a hassle for over a year trying to get the other two issues resolved, AND we had negotiated with the salesman prior to signing that they would all be included. Original review: Had my new roof installed early 2019. It’s gorgeous. However, wIthin a few weeks of the install, we noticed a few issues. These issues were brought to the attention of the company reps by email and phone. I had to fight to prove that roof guards were included in my contract and that they shorted me 11 roof guards. There were two other issues as well - one of the pieces appear to be lifted in the middle of the roof; also, at the one corner, the joint covers (? I have no idea what they’re really called) were installed overlapping in the wrong direction - so when it rains, the rain will be getting in under that portion of the roof. I went back and forth on emails and phone calls with them for months. Here we are an additional 9 months later (over a year

  Bought my house a while ago with their roof installed already. Called them today to inquire about additional snow guards, as detached garage had none installed, and the house had them only above main and patio doors. My initial guess was that the previous owner decided to do so - but after reading some complaints today, I realized that not enough snow guards / missing or damaged snow guards has been an issue for other customers. So not so sure now as to why. The only good experience - a quick call back from a gentlemen (forgot the name) and the fact that they had drawings of my house, so the estimate was done over the phone in minutes. And it was $45 per snow guard installed, with a minimum service call charge of $450 - which would cover the cost of 10 guards, or just enough to cover one slope of garage roof. And then another $45/piece until I have enough - 40 altogether (my estimate), for the total cost of $1800 Now - normally if I don't like the price, I just walk away. But because I looked up the prices for snow guards online, and saw them ranging anywhere from $2 to $8, I couldn't resist the question - where $45/piece charge is coming from? Especially if to consider that, according to the gentlemen I spoke to on the phone, it would take them 20 minutes to install 10 of them. I suppose at this point he realized that I will not be interested any further, and instead of just politely finishing the conversation, he started going about "show me the snow guards for $8 and I will buy 10000 of them", "we don't make $450 in 20 minutes, because we have expenses", "nobody will come to your house for less than $200", etc. I didn't like the tone and manner, so I pressed on and questioned the pricing further, suggesting that a 20 minutes job shouldn't cost $450 - while remaining calm and polite, I must add. And now regret doing that, because the guy on the other end told me to "buy those $2 snow guards and screw them into the roof yourself", or my favorite -"remove those

As we have a premium roof, and use the best components to complement it and protect your home, there is no inexpensive alternative that we can recommend to you. If we were to put on plastic snow guards, we would expect them to have a short life, and not perform to the standards of the metal snow guards we provide. Hopefully this answers your question.   I had additional snow guards installed on my Interlock Roofing Systems shingles. The work was done by Ken Moore. I have only praise to offer for the work this man did to my place. Sure, the product is good, but people like Ken make the company what it is: a reliable entity. I have had other less pleasant interactions with other people from the company, and, honestly, Ken's work confirmed that the human factor is important to a company's reputation. Kudos to Ken for a job well done.

  Brad and Ken were out to replace some old skylights for us and install some new snow guards. They were very friendly and professional! The work took an extra day due to some severe inclement weather but we were not charged any additional fees beyond the quote which was appreciated! I would definitely have them back out for any future roofing issues and felt that they were extremely knowledgeable.

We felt completely confident throughout the whole process that we chose the best type of roof for life on Georgian Bay. Bruce was incredible form beginning to end.   In an earlier review, I expressed frustration with certain aspects of the post installation service, but the company (Cheri) went above and beyond in addressing my concerns and responded in a manner that deserves special recognition. It's highly unusual in the home renovation sector for companies to be responsive to customer queries/requests once the work is completed, so I was surprised and pleased that the company places a great premium on ensuring that customers are happy with the overall process, even after the work is completed. In summary, below is my overall assessment of the experience. 1 Pre decision process - very professional, no complaints 2 Installation process - the installers were courteous, very professional and did a great job. 3 Post installation process - some initial hiccups, but the company addressed those in a very satisfactory manner, meeting the expectations. 4 Overall conclusion - based on the overall experience, I would not hesitate to recommend this company.

  I attended the Sudbury home show on April 25th and had chance to meet Bruce Mehuys with interlock roofing. I purchased a home 2 years ago and had an interlock metal roof. The quality and workmanship was second to none. Bruce was very informative and knowledgeable. I would recommend them to anyone.
