  7 weeks post hurricane Ian and after being informed that Ibis Roofing is a "preferred" contractor for our insurance company we have yet to receive a single proposal for a new roof. This company and Rob specifically in my opinion dragged his feet to receive information from our insurance company as to how much in compensation we were going to receive. He was fast to call and tell me exactly what that dollar figure was even though I have absolutely NO contractual agreement with him and ONLY wanted estimates for a new roof. Amazingly, he informed me that he could put a replacement shingle roof on our residence for exactly what my insurance benefit price is. I have still not heard from my insurance but he has some insight and contacts that keep him informed. If this is not illegal it should be. I would not trust this company at all and never allow them to mediate between yourself and YOUR insurance. 3 days is all the time it took another company to give me a satellite breakdown and 7 proposals for a roof replacement with exact cost sheets. Contract with this company at your own risk. This is NOT our first time dealing with hurricane damages. Our other house was hit 18yrs ago by Hurricane Charlie so we know contractors and working with insurance companies. This has been 7 weeks of feet dragging and shady conversations and no more. We would never consider using this company and anyone who does should know and enter into a service with them VERY cautiously.

  Hey Cheech, Let me start off by saying I am not sure which potential customer you were because there is no name in the review. I apologize for your confusion in the claim and preferred contractor process, but this review is not warranted and is very unfair. We have no control over how fast the insurance company reviews files and makes approvals. They were very overwhelmed after Hurricane Ian and were working extremely hard to review all of their assigned claims. As a preferred contractor we must wait for the approval of our estimates by the insurance company before we reach back out to the insured. It appears we did so in this case since you heard from us with the approved amount. Most of the time during a CAT you will hear from us before the adjuster because of the volume of claims they are handling. The reason we know the exact amount is because it is our estimate they approved in their system. Of course, we could replace the roof for the exact price the insurance benefits were because it was our estimate they approved. The estimate reflects the scope of work and cost of replacement. I am not sure why there is confusion here. What is actually illegal is that in the State of Florida the insured is not to benefit off insurance proceeds, this is also known as insurance fraud. Again, I apologize if you were confused during any conversations between us about the process. You should have reached out or asked questions if you were confused. This is a bogus review you left because you were unclear of the process. If you would like to discuss further, then please reach out and I will be more than happy to explain again.   Excellent company!! Rob and his team exceed anything you could possibly imagine. Rob himself is outstanding. He is professional, thorough, knowledgeable, helpful and always available to answer questions in a very timely manner. The crew was fantastic, they were courteous, polite, neat and their attention to detail was amazing. Rob kept me updated during the process from start to finish.   From start to finish the Ibis team was top notch! Rob was thorough and detailed with the scope of work, the team doing the repairs were efficient and treated our property with respect, and Charlotte was an absolute delight to work with closing out the project.   Rob and his crew were absolutely amazing. After the hurricane, I had no idea where to start with my roof or the insurance stuff. Rob walked me through the whole process, explained everything, and made it so much less stressful. You can tell he really knows what he’s doing.   During the storms, a tree fell on my parents’ home, and so we immediately contacted our insurance company, and they recommended Ibis roofing. The entire experience with Ibis has been fantastic. Various repairs had to be made in a certain order, but from the very start, Ibis contacted me immediately and sent someone out to do the estimate and look at the damage. Then they stayed in constant contact to let me know that they were ready to do the repairs as soon as the other items had been fixed. They even special ordered custom materials since my parents’ roof was older. I have been extremely impressed with their work and their customer service and would highly recommend Ibis roofing to anyone!
